investigation on site. customers still not being allowed back in the store. we've been asking atlantic city police as well as well as the atlanta county prosecutor's office how many police officers were involved in the shooting and how many shots were fired. we don't have those questions answered just yet. the prosecutor's office says they're still piecing together this investigation for is suspect's name and how he's doing if he survives has not yet been made clear. live in atlantic city cydney long nbc10 news. every parent's nightmare. that's how chester county's district attorney describes a private school principal accused of having inappropriate contact with a student. george simons worked at the concept school when police say the crimes happened. this isn't the only local school where he's worked with children. drew smith is live this afternoon with the allegations and the school's response as well. drew? >> reporter: we found out the school board here at the concept school has fired george simons and while the school may be closed for the summer this police investigation certainly is not. they're asking anyone with information to come forward because there may be other possible victims out there. george symonds is out of jail free on bail. his attorney tells nbc10 he maintains his innocence and will fight the charges. but chester county district attorney tom hogan says he has a strong case independence the former principal of the school. >> that's tremendous abuse of position of trust and also tremendous abuse of power. >> reporter: hogan said the 62-year-old began the illegal contact with the eighth grade student last year and it continued this year with texts and e-mails saying he loved the boy, then later telling the victim to delete the evidence. >> pulling the victim into his office in order to get access to him and to physically grope him, again, have manipulative. >> reporter: the school would not agree to an on-camera interview. instead it sent a written statement saying in part "since being notified of this deeply troubling and very serious matter, we have been and will continue to be fully cooperative with law enforcement authorities." abby newman is an advocate for abused children. we asked her about this case. >> it can happen with a principal the same way it can happen with a teacher, a janitor, a bus driver. somebody who puts themselves in a close proximity to children and grooms not only the child but the entire community. >> reporter: hogan points out there is a lesson to be learned here. >> you need to spot check your faculty, your administration and make sure they are not engaging in this sort of misconduct. >> reporter: sim symonds has taught in delaware county and the state of massachusetts. >> symonds is the second chester county educator arrested in the past month. matthew scavitto is in custody awaiting arraignment next week. >> now your nbc10 first alert weather. >> cloudy skies didn't shore is certainly where you wanted to be today. taking a live look from our cape may camera plenty of folks trying to get some relief from the heat by being out on the water. with this humidity it's really feeling like it's in the 90s outside. >> nbc10 first alert chief meteorologist glenn "hurricane" schwartz is here with the first alert forecast. steamy, glenn. >> steamy for sure. it's baseball weather. they're just not playing here tonight. out on the west coast, radar showing just one or two thunderstorms up in the poconos. elsewhere, just some isolated showers. partially triggered by this heat and humidity. this storm right in the middle of monroe county and carbon county, and it has been moving very quickly. that's good news. last night they weren't moving fast enough and we got some localized flooding. and a few other showers in parts of montgomery county that got hit hard last night and chester county, parts of those areas hit hard last night as well. 90 degrees in philadelphia northeast of philly much cooler where there have been some showers in pottstown. not a whole lot of relief at the beach either. we're in the mid-80s and the ocean temperature is unbelievably warm at 78 degrees. for this time of the year that is really exceptional. isolated storms by 5:00 and 6:00, but they'll be dissipateing as we go into the early evening. i don't really expect any rain after let's say 7:00 tonight in the area. so no repeat of last nigh's storms. different story for tomorrow. vile the timing on those storms in with the seven-day in a few minutes. new information right now about two murders in the lehigh valley. police have charged three people in connection with the crimes and investigators say it's part of a bigger random killing spree. in less than an hour sunday morning the subpoenas allegedly killed an easton man, shot at two others then killed a man and a woman inside their car in allentown. police say two of the suspects were also responsible for three robberies yesterday. cory ketro was shot on lehigh street near hiss easton home. minutes later police discovered the bodies of trevor gray and fran seen ramos at 6th and greenleaf streets. police arrested robert jordan todd west, and kareem mitchell. court documents say mitchell was driving his mother's suv and west allegedly fired the shots. police believe jordan bought the bullets. investigators haven't said what the motive was for the killings. part of a child pornography investigation, one man's home was searched. he became subway's spokesperson after losing nearly 250 pounds by regularly eating their sandwiches. schloegel also started a foundation to combat childhood obesity. subway says today's raid is likely linked to a former employee of the foundation. that former employee is facing child pornography charges. more fallout from sexual assault allegations against comedian and philadelphia native bill cosby this afternoon. today the bounce television network said it is pulling reruns of "the cosby show" from the air immediately. that decision comes after court documents unsealed in philadelphia yesterday showed cosby admitted obtaining quaaludes to give to women before having sex. his comments came in a civil lawsuit brought ten years ago by former temple university employee. she claimed cosby sexually attacked her. the county prosecutor at the time tells nbc10 even if he knew of cosby's admissions back then he could not have filed criminal charges. nbc10's dave shimell live in el elkins park where he talked to that prosecutor. >> reporter: when those depositions were released a lot of people were saying there's the smoking gun, but according to prosecutors, not from a criminal standpoint. when then montgomery county district attorney bruce castor announced he didn't have enough evidence to charge bill cosby in 2005 castor says it was tough to walk away. >> we didn't have any corroboration, couldn't get a search warrant to look for trace evidence at his home, so what i had was a suspicion and a theory but i didn't have any proof. >> reporter: depositions just released bay philadelphia judge in a 2005 lawsuit filed bay temple university employee contain a damning statement from bill cosby who was accused of drugging the woman at his elkins park home. "when you got the quaaludes, was it in your mind that you were going to use these quaaludes for young women that you wanted to have sex with? yes." >> had i known that information, would it have enabled me to arrest cosby? the answer to that question is probably not. >> reporter: the former d.a. now montgomery county commissioner, says cosby's admission doesn't change the lack of physical evidence in the criminal case. but castor says the entertainer has already paid a price. >> all of the public shaming that he's getting he totally deserves all of that. the fact that he's going to have to pay out of pocket for damages to victim or victims i think that's terrific. >> reporter: bruce castor says by publicly announcing he was not charging bill cosby it stripped the entertainer of his fifth amendment protection against sesm inlf-incrimination and forced him to answer questions in those civil cases. nbc10 has been trying to reach cosby's attorneys last night. we have yet to hear from them. dave shimell, nbc10 news. >> and the cosby scandal has put the word quaaludes back in the headlines. they looked a lot like these little white pills, powerful sedatives originally prescribed in the 1960s as sleeping pills, but they quickly became popular party drugs in the '70s and '80s for their ability to cause a hypnotic high that can also be very addictive. since 1984 quaaludes have been illegal. from the nbc10 delaware bureau, today the state took a big step to limit where smokers can use electronic cigarettes. this is a growing trend across the country. tim furlong is live in middletown to tell us all about it. tim? apparently we're having problems getting tim. or maybe not. we obviously are having problems with this story. we'll try and get that to you later in our broadcast this afternoon. all right. let's move on now from new jersey to give you a little information act e-cig rhetts in the forwarden state. the first to ban them. philadelphia enacted a ban last year. there's a proposal in the pennsylvania statehouse to do the same statewide. south carolina's senate has given its final approval to remove confederate flag from the capitol grounds, but that bill could face a battle in the statehouse. jacqueline london is joining us live to explain. >> reporter: some house republicans are planning to throw obstacles in the path of this senate bill. that is according to the state newspaper in south carolina. some house republicans have suggested replacing the confederate flag with other historic and possibly controversial flags. others want to move the flag next to a confederate soldier's memorial, while others simply want to keep the flag where it is on capitol grounds. members of the house democratic caucus say they won't stand for any of those compromises. >> this is our moment. this is our time. and the democrats in south carolina specific chi in the house are going to make sure that we follow through on our promise to take the flag down. >> reporter: the widow of a south carolina state senator greeted his colleagues moments after they voted to remove confederate flag. lawmakers stood after jennifer pinckney stemmed into the chamber. her husband, reverend clementa pinckney, was one of nine people killed in last month's charleston church massacre. the man police say is responsible for that charleston church massacre was indicted today on three new charges of attempted murder. this is dashcam video from his arrest last month. prosecutors say the charges against dylann roof stem from the people who survived the june 17th attack. roof is already charged with nine counts of murder. federal authorities have not said whether they will pursue hate crime charges against him. jacqueline london, nbc10 news. more fallout for donald trump. espn announced the espy celebrity golf classic will not be played at trump's course in los angeles. the annual charity tournament was supposed to be played at trump national a week from today. it benefits the foundation stuart scott memorial cancer research fund. it provides resources for important cancer research for minority populations. espn is the latest in just a long line of companies to cut ties with trump after his comments about mexican immigrants. trump told reporters, not a big deal. this afternoon we have new video of former florida state quarterback de'andre johnson punching a woman inside a bar. we want to warn you, this video is jarring. you're going to see in the surveillance video johnson is seen arguing with the woman, and she raises a fist, he grabs her arm, she tries to hit him, but he punches her in the face. this happened two weeks ago. johnson is charged now with misdemeanor battery. his attorney said while his client is embarrassed and apologetic the woman was yelling racial slurs at him. the woman hasn't commented. johnson's been cut from the team and is now volunteering at a domestic violence shelter. a home exploded in allegheny county today. no one, though was hurt here. this explosion happened around 11:00 this morning in north braddock about ten miles southeast of pittsburgh. right now the home is still standing, but you can see the front is basically blown off. the cause of this explosion has yet to be determined. rescue crews say big four ice caves in washington state are too unstable to recover body of a person killed there. the victim tied when part of caves collapsed yesterday afternoon and four other people including a child, were hurt as they were exploring those caves. all right. we told you we'll get back to this story. our nbc10 delaware bureau today, the state taking a big step to limit where smokers can use electronic cigarettes. nbc10 delaware bureau reporter tim furlong live in middletown to now tell us all about it. tim? >> reporter: today in delaware the governor signed a new law that adds e-cig rhetts to the state's clean indoor air act. basically wherever you can't smoke a traditional cigarette, you can't smoke an e-cigarette. stores may 80% of the revenue from the devices and the juice they put in them. more and more teenagers are spoking e-cigarettes but if you're under 18 you're not legally able to buy the product. the american lung and heart associations superintendent port delaware. and even the general manager at this vape shop says she's on board with it but she thinks the state did the right thing letting vape customers try products in the store. >> i can understand them banning it in public places because we don't want to expose anybody who doesn't want to be exposed to it, you know, just like i wouldn't expect somebody to walk through the food store vaping. in a vape shop i don't think it should be banned. you tell me you walk into a vape shop expecting to have that here, so. >> reporter: the new law takes effect in 90 days. some will tell me they think at least in their minds it's better than traditional cigarettes. we'll see how this plays out over time. live at unreal vapors in middletown tim furlong, nbc10 news. let's head overseas now. hundreds of thousands of people streamed in to ecuador today to attend a mass celebrated by pope francis. about a million people in fact attended the service in the city's bicentennial park. as far as you could see, people walked to the open-air venue to be checked by security. pope francis called on the crowd to spread the faith. ecuador is the first stop on the pontiff's trip to latin america. nbc10 is getting a closer look at the pontiff's hometown. >> reporter: thousands of miles from where we're standing people in pennsylvania are helping to see a dream that you have come true for children here. >> yeah. >> i traveled to the pope's homeland of argentina to learn more about hiss life and work in poor neighborhoods like this one, and we discovered how an organization from our area is changing the lives of girls like one 5,000 miles away. on the on nbc10 at 6:00. the pentagon admitted today that president obama's strategy to defeat isis on the ground is not meeting its projected goals. the yearly goal was to train 5,400 syrian fighters against isis, but the pentagon admitted today the number that's been successfully trained so far is only about 60. u.s. defense secretary ash carter said some the syrian trainees have disappeared and u.s. military leaders conducting the training have rejected many of the applicants. the new numbers brought tough criticism from republicans. >> they're not winning, and when you're not winning in war, you are losing. >> the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff estimates lit take 20 years to destroy isis. now your nbc10 first alert weather with chief meteorologist glenn "hurricane" schwartz. >> well we've hit 90 degrees again for the ninth time so far this season. and we've got high humidity on top of it. it feels like it's about 95 degrees out there on some isolated storms. not a lot around the area today. expect a bit more tomorrow. it's going to be a stormier day tomorrow across the area. we have a mix of clouds and sun as is offen the case. 90 degrees. feels like 94. 4 degrees warmer than it was this time yesterday and that southwest wind pushing that temperature up and the humidity up. now, the severe threat tracker for tomorrow still showing the greatest threat is heavy rain with the potential for localized flooding. i'm not talking act widespread flooding. that bar would be a lot higher. some lightning, some gusty winds possible tomorrow but the main threat is the rain. 88 in mt. holly, 90 in northeast philly and in philadelphia. what about at the beaches? we've got a southwest wind so it's close to being a land breeze, so it's a little bit cooler, still in the 80s. why? the ocean is exceptionally warm 78 degrees off atlantic city. 's about as warm as it gets ss this early in the season. we generally peak with the ocean temperature in august sometimes early september. very strange. i could see some isolated showers around nothing like what we saw last night, and nothing like what we're going to see tomorrow. that one shower um near the poconos actually getting a little weaker on i-80 and the other one in the northern portion of the lehigh valley. back to the west we have a lot more activity in ohio and indiana. that's part of the system that's coming in tomorrow. so as we go through the evening hours, we have a southwest wind keeping it warm keeping it humid, but look how dry it is. after the next couple hours, we get rid of these showers, that should be it for the night. then we start again tomorrow with, again, the heat and the humidity building up. there may be more clouds around tomorrow, and that could prevent us from getting up to 90 degrees, but you can see as we go into the afternoon, some of those little balls of red indicating some thunderstorms of locally heavy rain. there is the afternoon rush tomorrow and i'm expecting some locally heavy thunderstorms. not widespread. not everybody's going to get those downpours. isolated early showers then partly cloudy late 75 degrees for the low. tomorrow a hot and humid day, some showers and storms locally heavy, highs in the upper 80s. if we get a little more sunshine, we get to 90 again. then late day or nighttime thunderstorms coming thursday followed by less humid weather on friday and into saturday. even though it's going to be kind of hot. and then the humidity and chances of storms starts to increase again by sunday night. >> well trapped in an elevator in high heat and humidity for hours. >> next, the rescue at a new jersey train station to save several passengers. plus online casinos under fire from cyberspace. the new attacks and the demands that could mean consequences for several sites. also the car seat that could make running errands with little ones easier. officials tell us a holding tank started leaking sometime yesterday. that spill went from prospect park into darby park. crews believe the tank was leaking for about a day before they could contain it. a frightening ordeal for three women and two children stuck in an elevator in north jersey today. rescue crews were eventually able to free them at the new jersey transit light rail station in juneunion city. there was a mechanical problem with the elevator that caused it to stop about 70 feet above the ground. no one was hurt but crews were worried that the hot weather would cause serious health problems for the people who were trapped. a cyber attack has hit four gambling sites in the garden state this afternoon. the hacker is threatening more of the same. the attack shut down all four sites for about 30 minutes last thursday, and now the hacker is promising a more powerful attack within the next 24 hours, that is unless a has been a steamy one in the city today. no doubt about it. first alert chief meteorologist glenn "hurricane" schwartz is tracking the chance of storms for tonight. >> what do you see right now, glenn? >> i'm seeing some isolated showers now and i think threat will be diminishing as we go through the evening and then increasing again tomorrow. we have a mix of clouds and sun out there. it is steamy. the humidity is very high as well as the temperatures up to 90 degrees. we haven't even had ten of those days so far this summer. it's not exactly been a hot summer. record high for today is 103. that was set in 2010. it's fairly warm even at the beaches today. and the ocean temperature is incredibly warm for this time of the year. live radar showing just some isolated showers, most of them on the lighter side. the heaviest one has gone through the poconos, and there is lightning up there, and that's why people have to get out of the water. and that is going to be moving fast and people will be able to go back in the water within the next hour or so because look how much dry air is coming in from hazelton. that's where the air is coming from, the poconos. and as far as farther to the south, just some isolated light showers, most of the area looks like it will stay dry tonight. different story tomorrow. the timing of that coming up with the seven-day in a few minutes. you app store. here are some of the stories making headlines on nbc10 news at 4:00. atlantic city police shot a man minutes after they say he killed a grocery store worker. nbc10 at cedar market on adriatic and pennsylvania avenues. witnesses say the man walked into the store and began stabbing the employee. police confronted the suspect but shot him after he allegedly refused to put down a knife. a chester county principal is off the job after being accused of indecent assault on a student. george symonds served as principal of a concept score in thornberry township since 2004. authorities say symonds began the inappropriate contact with an eighth grade student last year in the principal's office and in the school's bathroom. we have new information this afternoon on jerry sandusky. the convicted child molester is looking at the possibility of new charges serving out his prison term. a new sandusky accuser gets his day in court in october. the man claims sandusky abused him at penn state when he was 16. he's 43 now. prosecutors told him the allegations are too old under the statute of limitations, but he says changes to the law should permit charges now. a judge has scheduled that october court date. then the accuse ler try to persuade prosecutors to file new charges against sandusky. a judge will decide the fate for one of two men accused in a street racing crash that killed a mother and her three sons. family members of the man tried to dodge our cameras yesterday. the suspect is facing homicide by vehicle and third-degree charges for a crash in july of 2013. his trial begins tomorrow. he rejected a plea deal yesterday. investigators say akhmedov's car hit samarra banks and her four young sons as they crossed the boulevard near second street. the oldest son survived that crash. another driver amman holliman, pleaded guilty in the case yesterday. he was sentenced to five to ten years in state prison. philadelphia chis political analyst are looking for the suspect who shot a 6-year-old boy while he was just playing basketball with family and friends. that shooting took place in a driveway on south 31st street in gray's ferry just before midnight. a stray bullet hit the child in his foot. it fractured it. witnesses told police a dark-colored vehicle without its headlights on drove away from the scene. three to six years. that's how long david toledo will spend behind bars. a judge sentenced him yesterday for going on a spree of slashing tires in mayfair. he's also facing eight years' probation. last year toledo was sentenced to six months' probation after slashing tires on a dozen cars. but prosecutors say he was back at it gluing nail screws putting mouse traps near cars. one of his targets a septa vehicle. it is about to cost more green to be a blue hen. the university of delaware announced that tuition is going up for the coming school year. a $178 hike for in-state students and $728 for out-of-state undergrads. it's one of the smallest hikes in 30 years bringing the total tuition fees, room and board to $23,053 for residents, $43,250 for out-of-staters. no you're a flood risk nap's the message from the federal government to people in philadelphia. new fema flood insurance rate maps will be displayed to the public. right now city officials are holding an open house at south philadelphia high school until 8:00 tonight. and the maps highlight flood-prone areas of the city and they're used by insurance companies to determine rates for homes and buildings. today we have another new reported sighting of a dangerous sea creature causing real concern at area beaches. tights portuguese man o' war. an nbc10 viewer snapped several shots of one this morning on the 19th street beach's ship bottom ocean county. the portuguese man o' war is known for its painful sting. it's rarely seen in our area. the jellyfish-like creature has been spotted at several locations at the jersey shore as well as we've got up to 90 degrees, the humidity is with us as well. it's going to be hot and steamy tomorrow too. just some isolated storms today, but we're going to have a stormier day tomorrow with more activity, some perhaps even in the morning a you'll see. mix of sun and clouds right now, and it sure feels like july. 90 degrees, feels like 94 with that southwest wind. and the only thing that's really cooling us off is the rain. noake know at 71 pottsdown down to 77. everybody else in the mid-80s to near 90 degrees. it's even in the mid-80s in some of the shore points right at the beaches, 80 now in stone harbor and not much of a sea breeze the ocean temperature still very very warm. as you can see, just the isolated showers. look how dry it is back to the southwest. that drier air is what's coming in this evening. so as pitiful as these little showers are, there may not even be those in a couple of hours. so this is really going to dry out and you need to in the poconos because it's been pretty wet. those showers and storms have weakened. the area back to the west now that is pretty impressive. we've got showers and storms some severe thunderstorm warnings in western pennsylvania and in ohio and in indiana. some of that activity is what we're talking about for tomorrow. look at this. by this evening there's just nothing going on around here as far as the radar is concerned. and then tomorrow more clouds. that may keep the temperature down a little bit, preventing us from getting to 90 but you see those little red blobs? yeah they're going to be developing and this is perhaps even early in the afternoon, maybe midday. some of these showers locally heavy downpours as they move to the east. they need to move or else you've got some flood threats because each individual shower has got a lot of moisture with it in this kind of a pattern. then as we go into thursday yeah, we're starting off dry, but watch what happens here. some nasty showers and storms coming through late in the day and into the evening. so the next two days we've got some potential weather threats here. just some isolated early showers like in the next hour or two. that's it. 75 degrees for the low in philadelphia. so it's a warm night and a humid night and a humid day tomorrow too. showers and thunderstorms, could even see some more noon. that's why i'm not just saying afternoon showers and storms. the high temperature down a couple degrees because of the clouds. then those late showers and storms you saw them on the future radar on thursday late thursday into thursday night, then we get less humid air coming in on friday and into saturday. it's warm but it's not sticky and then it does get hotter and more humid early in next week. >> all right, glenn. well, a furniture fight is brewing in west philadelphia. >> customers say they have shelled out hundreds of dollars for sofas and tables but their new stuff never arrived. now nbc the nbc10 investigators are tracking down the store owner and asking about the holdup. then all new tonight on nbc 10 news at 5:00, after a deadly duck boat accident in philadelphia, the victim's family is taking new legal action. their accusations gens the company and the city. they thought they were getting a good deal on furniture, but it's been nothing but disappointment. >> harry, you were able to catch up with the owner of thor to? >> reporter: that's right. we met up with him at the store after a number of people reached out and told us they didn't get the furniture they say they paid for. >> i don't want any more more than what i paid for. >> reporter: emma hodges says she ordered a bedroom set but didn't get the dresser. she spent $9 hushs and isn't satisfied with the service. >> on the receipt it says you will not receive the goods unless you paid in full. so, therefore, you pay in full. and you still do not get what you paid for. >> i still have no furniture. i have no dininging room table to eat on. i have nothing to sit on in my living room. >> reporter: leslie rollins has a similar story. she says she paid $1,700 to furniture surplus but still hasn't received her dining room set, sew fashgs and love seat. >> took me a lot of time to put my money together to save to get this furniture. and for them to just walk away and i'm empty-handed -- >> reporter: they and other customers tell us they haven't been able to get answers from furniture surplus. when we called, the person who answered the phone hung up on us twice. so we stopped by the store. are you the owner? >> yes, i am. >> reporter: can i speak with you about these allegations? >> i don't know what you're talking about. >> reporter: while there, we noticed there's been a name change. furniture surplus is now furniture king. according to the bill of sale former owner mark finkelstein sold it to daniel roberts in april. why don't you talk to us? >> i don't feel like it. i really don't. >> we received a number of complaints. it involved a furniture merchandiser who accepted lay-away funds, deposits from various consumers and then went out of business or supposedly went out of business. >> reporter: the nbc10 investigators aren't the only ones looking at the store. the attorney general's bureau of consumer protection. >> the legal obligation is clear and unequivocal. either the current owner or the previous owner has to provide a refund to the consumer or they have to provide the consumer with the furniture that they purchased. snoorl he tell >> reporter: he tells us subpoenas have been issued to get more information about furniture surplus and furniture king. if the company doesn't cooperate, the dispute can move the the next step. >> if it rises to that level, we can seek and order from the court as part of our lawsuit to put them out of business completely in the commonwealth. >> reporter: that's what hodges and rollins want along with their furniture. >> they're taking poor people's money and getting away with it and telling you anything they want. >> reporter: the owner disagrees. are these people correct? >> no, no no. >> reporter: when will they get their furniture? now, we tried several phone numbers for the former owner but couldn't reach him. the current owner told us he has answered the subpoena. a spokesperson for the philadelphia district attorney's office with police. begin with the impact of bill cosby's admission he gave drugs to women before sex. tonight the man who tried to prosecute cosby in philadelphia tells nbc10 what made that admission possible. nbc 10 news at 5:00 starts right now. that system was part of a civil lawsuit file bade former co-worker at temple university. >> she claims cosby drugged and assaulted her at his home in cheltenham more than a decade ago. nbc10's dave shimell spoke with the prosecutor involved in that investigation. >> no criminal charges were ever filed against cosby, but bruce castor says that paved the way for this admission in the civil suit. >> reporter: exactly. the former district attorney says none of those quotes would be in these depositions if it wasn't for bruce castor's unsuccessful criminal prosecution. the comments from bill cosby in just-released depositions are what montgomery county prosecutors had suspected all along. "when you got the quaaludes, was it in your mind that you were going to use these quaaludes for young women that you wanted to have sex with? yes." cosby was referring to a temple university employee who claimed she had been drugged at cosby's elkins park home in 2004. the entertainer was also questioned about a sexual relationship with another woman in 1978. cosby says "i meet the accuser in las vegas. she meets me backstage. i give her quaaludes. we then have sex. i do not -- i can't judge at this time what she knows about herself for 19 years, a passive personality." >> from a criminal perspective i think it's almost certainly over. >> reporter: former montgomery county district attorney now county commissioner bruce castor says there simply wasn't enough to charge cosby in the 2005 temple case. >> we didn't have any corroboration, couldn't get a search warrant to look for trace evidence at his home so what i had was a suspicion and a theory, but i didn't have any proof. >> reporter: but castor says by not arresting bill cosby it stripped the entertainer of his fift
