Victim specialist unit staffed for Central Bucks police departments The newly formed crime specialist unit — the first of its kind in Bucks County — is now fully staffed, according to Central Bucks Regional Police. The department announced Wednesday in a news release that Elizabeth Leone and Karen Edwards have been named victims specialists. In their roles, which are part-time, they will guide crime victims through the criminal justice process. They are based at the Central Bucks Regional Police station, however they will also have desks with Buckingham and Plumstead department offices. Leone, the victim specialist supervisor, has two master degrees in criminal justice and social service, and has four years of experience with Bucks County Children and Youth, and four years of experience with Bucks County Youth.
