Finance Minister Travis Toews said Friday he didn’t see any need to create a targeted program to address high vacancy rates in downtown office buildings in Calgary and Edmonton.
By Monday, Jobs, Economy and Innovation Minister Doug Schweitzer took a different tack, publishing a guest column in The Herald that announced the province was launching a “working group” to examine the future of downtown Calgary.
