The Democrat & Chronicle reports Greece, N.Y., resident Jeff Blood, whose mother Marie Hinson Blood was the niece of Houdini and his wife Bess, will be included in an induction ceremony for Houdini in the National Museum of American Jewish History Only in America Hall of Fame. The event will be streamed online free Saturday at 8 p.m. According to the Rochester newspaper, Houdini never had children of his own but was close with Jeff Blood’s mother, who died in 2004. Hinson Blood grew up in New York City and moved to Rochester when her husband, Forest, took a job with General Railway Signal.
