AP Two Suffolk County police officers were suspended without pay Tuesday night after body camera footage captured them kicking a handcuffed suspect multiple times. Suffolk County Police Commissioner Geraldine Hart said four other officers stood by and watched, including a supervisor. “The actions of these two officers are concerning and what is equally unacceptable is the number of officers who did not intervene which is a direct violation of our rules and procedures,” Hart said. Hart said the four officers who did not stop the beating have been placed on modified duty. Suffolk County has a small body camera pilot program on just a few officers.
