New this morning, a bill heading through the General Assembly would allow some students to use public funding to pay for private school the Virginia Senate approved it monday. It would allow parents of students with disabilites to use state money for textbooks and tuition at a private school. Opponents of the bill say allowing taxpayer dollars to Fund Education costs at religious schools violates the states constitution. Governor mcauliffe has big plans to expand tourism in Hampton Roads. He announced more than 800 thousand dollars in matching grants that will be awared to 39 virginia tourism initiatives. The grants are meant to help virginia attract more visitors through growth and expansion of local projects.
