Its been the greatest privilege of my life, the greatest privilege of my life to lead and most important to serve. Hagle has been the head man at the pentagon for nearly two years and was brought into see the drawdown of u. S. Fors in afghanistan and help fight for the budget during tight fiscal times. Chuck hagle has been no ordinary secretary of defense. The first enlisted combat veteran to serve in that position. He understands our men and women like few others. But now with the war against isis at the forefront the white house is looking for someone to lead the armed forces through that fight. Montgomery county police are investigating a click that killed a bike ride in gaithersburg. Less tan three hours ago, it happened this morning on route 28 at the entrance potomacomac Valley Shopping Center near the intersection of orchard road just before 9 30. Police say a wssc utility truck making a left turn into the Shopping Center collided with the bike rider headed east. The rider died at the scene. Hes described as an adult male and was wearing a helmet. No word yet on the identity of the victim or whether or not there will be charges stemming from that collision. Reporter university of virginia students are speaking out this morning about allegations of a brutal Sexual Assault at a Campus Fraternity party. There are atrocities being perpetrated that fly in the face of every principle that we believe in. Rape and Sexual Violence occur far too frequently on College Campuses including our own. Over the weekend the university of virginia suspended all fraternal organizations until the Spring Semester and the move follows a rolling stole article in which a student described being sexually assaulted by seven men at 2012. The woman identified as jackie says her friends discouraged her from initially reporting the rape. She says, one of my roommates said do you want to be responsible for something thats going to paint uva in a bad light . What do we want . Now. The rape allegations is have sparked outrage and protests. On saturday uva president Theresa Sullivan issued a statement saying shes asked the Police Department to formerly investigate the incident but survivors of sexual abuse say more needs to be done. With one fraternity gone or all gone theres still Sexual Assaults and still parties where this is happening and if theres not that cultural change. Student activists say they are opposed to the millitary of the Campus Police force. It reportedly has more than 45 m16s that it bought at discount from the pentagon. The new york types says marylands police force has the second largest arsenal of any College Campus nationwide. Two Police Officers are on leave in cleveland after the shooting death of a 12 year old african american. They opened fire on tamir rice, who had an air gun that looked like the real thing. The shooting happened this weekend outside a cleveland recreation center, after less received a 911 call. The officers ordered him to stop and to show his hands and he went into his wasteband and pulled out the weapon. The attorney for the victims family is down playing any possible racial connections to the shooting. The counties Prosecutors Office is still investigating, however. Now you feel like what youve seen publicly Going Forward gm is moving in the right direction really about trying to help people who have been injured in the past that were ignored . Yes and they are doing settlements now, the really smart people that had a loved one hurt or killed where their child or their loved one wasnt drinking and driving or speeding, those are the people that are going to hit the mother load of settlements and they arent taking the settlement gm will offer. Ahead of it were on the warm air but the coolness will start to come in as we get into overnight tonight and on tuesday so tomorrow, temperatures will be in the 50s. Also see a few more clouds around and this is our futurecast tomorrow so partly to mostly cloudy day and some rain if youre traveling norfolk south toward the carolinas and then well have to watch toward wednesday because as low pressure comes up the coast could potentially have no inland i81 west and the morning rain around here. Looks like we could transition from rain to snow during the afternoon but its leakily going to be a little too warm with too many problems on the i95 corridor but areas north and west of d. C. We cant rule out wednesday afternoon picking up a little bit of snow maybe a few inches in the highest elevations.
