This is the crime scene tape you can see still up in the parking lot here where the little boy fell around 6 30 this evening. According to police, paramedic and First Arriving officers did everything they could trying safe that little boy. He was taken to Childrens Hospital where he died around 712 this evening. Investigators are trying to figure out exactly how this happened. It happened just before 6 30 tuesday night when police say a fouryearold boy fell from the seventh floor balance connive this apartment complex in the 3800 block of conshohocken avenue in Wynnefield Heights. They arrived on scene. They saw fouryearold child laying on the blacktop here face up. With multiple people around him. Reporter boy was race to do Childrens Hospital and initially listed in critical condition. Police say he died just after 7 00 p. M. The child lives with his parents up here on the seventh floor. About eight stories up the first floor is park. Reporter detectives arrived on the scene as stunned neighbors heard the news. Investigators are trying to determine exactly what led up to the boys fall and how this could have happened in the first place. The child comes to the screen of the apartment and he lands at some point on to the decking area of the detectives they have here which are settlement, and were not quite sure how he gets from the decking area over the fencing at this point. Both parents are with him at Childrens Hospital at this point. Reporter police say are railings and fences on the balcony prevent children from falling but theres no word on how the child could have gotten over that railing. Were still investigating. Were looking for additional witnesses, surveillance cameras in this area to assist in the investigation. Its a tragic, tragic incident that has taken place.
