3 feet of snow. it has created scenes like this throughout the city. mounds of snow blocking roads doesn't look like those cars are getting out any time soon. city officials say hang tight trying to get all of these side streets here. fox 29's chris o'connell is live in allentown. chris, the mayor is calling this an unprecedented snowfall. >> reporter: yeah, luce associate heat high valley just got pounded with this storm. here in allentown, many parts of the city still digging out parts of it got more than 30-inches of snow. case in point look where i am. this is north jefferson street. there's not been a plow that touched this street in three days. it's got residents frustrated and city officials calling for patience. record snow -- >> they suck. >> reporter: means record frustration. >> the taking me almost an hour to get home from work when it should take me 10 minutes. >> reporter: blizzard of 2016 dumped almost 32-inches of snow in allentown. it not only left cars buried in mounds of snow, but entire city blocks. >> can't get to no w roads all covered up. plowed in. they didn't clear the small streets. >> reporter: some residents say the city waited way too long to call snow emergency leaving cars on the streets with nowhere for plows to put the snow. >> i see nothing but snow and a bunch of cars. >> reporter: the city admits it was overwhelmed. >> plower operator could not meet up. >> reporter: the mayor it may be a few days before snow removal crews get to have streets in the city. he's calling on residents to move their cars to one of several pa* public lots now op open. >> we are asking everyone to be patient and i can't stress that enough. they need to be patient. i understand your frustration. i get it. we're not being able to get out to every street and every -- in every district of the city. >> reporter: record snow or not, some are wondering how long it will be before cars are dug out and streets are back to normal. >> they need to do a better job. we pay enough for taxes where this should have been taken care of as fast as the snow was falling it was hard for them to stay on top of it but i folic they could have done a better job. >> reporter: back out live on north jefferson street this one of many streets untouched by snowplows. city officials say they hope to get to them in a couple of days. just how bad is it? well, city officials are asking any private contractor had has backhoe or a front loader to come to the city and help out with these snow removal duties. it is a big job that's going to take days. lucy? >> it sure will, thank you very much, chris. n montgomery county, workers at the elmwood park zoo are cleaning up after the heavy snow collapsed its birds of paradise exhibit. that's steal measure roof no measure for matt its had saturday's blizzard. the the birds that live there were in different building before the roof caved in thank goodness. so none are hurt. the zoo however is closed until further notice while workers clean up damage from the storm. right now crews are working to clear out city streets and all that snow has to go somewhere. skyfox over broad and washington in south philadelphia as crews are piling up the snow there before it was loaded into melting machines. public transportation is back up and running but public and arch diocesan schools will be closed to take care of the big ones first to get everything rolling. and then that affects the most number of people but we haven't forgotten you and we are coming or already there. >> the city says you can call 311 if you got unplowed street. mayor kenney says every through street will be cleared by the end of the day on wednesday. for local dependent ensteep to get around getting back to normal routine will be tricky because septa is not back in full operation yet. all the snow left on the tracks and city and suburban roads shawnette wilson live at warminster station with more on that tonight. manpower issues. but they are working to restore full service. >> 747 train and it took about an hour and 40 minutes to get to suburban station. >> reporter: evening train pulled into the warminster station tonight. it let off passengers weary from long commute this morning and for some an even longer one back home. >> they cancel the 5:33. cancel. gave me no time. then i took the subway. took the 55 bus to warminster. then i sat there and waited for this train so i can get home. >> reporter: many mass transit rider has similar experiences. as septa tries to get back up and running after the weekend snowstorm. septa officials say pounded tracks and rails. >> i got the schedule at warminster this morning. >> reporter: at the jenkintown station michelle was told to expect 10 to 15 minute delays. >> this morning it was even later. it was like 40 minutes late to jenkintown from warminster and right now it is 30 minutes late back to warminster. >> reporter: this is the on the problem. some commuters parking lots had not been plowed. >> it doesn't even look like it was tempted because i was surprised 'cause this does have a lot of stalls, and i know a lot of people that do use this train. >> reporter: some say despite all the problems septa was still the best way to avoid messy roads. >> the train was running so i was glad to get to work. >> reporter: and back here live i do want to say that some trains are running on schedule like this one that just pulled up behind us moments ago twenty eight on time. in fact, photographer pointed out a minute early. eye as for the philadelphia earlier tonight. a state police say a woman jumped from the passenger side of a car going at highway speed this was on i-76 eastbound near university avenue. the car was in the left lane when she jumped incredibly she was not hit by any cars. she was taken to the hospital as a precaution. officers say they're does not appear to be any foul play involve. take a close look at this man. lower merion police are after him. it's for a rather nasty crime. >> you got to hear what he did in a library stairwell. dave schratwieser joins us live at lower merion police headquarters tonight. dave. >> reporter: iain, low merion police released surveillance video of that man who defecated in the stairwell of a local library. they call that criminal mischief. tonight the folks at the library called it disgusting. >> gross. >> reporter: library in lower merion was packed monday night and buzzing about the release of this surveillance video showing a man roaming through the library moments before police say he entered an open stairwell here and defecated. >> i think it's really sad when you hear something like that. >> it's pretty indecent and actually the library does very good job. the library hope he never returns. iain? >> all right, dave, thank you. skyfox over a fuel spill earlier tonight coast guard says 250 gallons of diesel fuel spilled in the schuylkill river. this after an even larger spill on land. multiple agencies are involved after 4300 gallons of fuel spilled at century link facility near 24th and market streets. crews are deploying ab soar bant materials into the river to soak up that fuel and also use vacuum trucks to row move the fuel from the water. pennsylvania department of environmental protection is also helping in the cleanup. ♪ >> a gun out, these jennifer joyce takes to us stone harbor hit hard by high tide. rebuilding has begun one day after powerful storm barreled up the coast devouring dunes in north wildwood flooding homes and businesses and forcing at least 150 evacuations. >> this is all bay mud covering the floors. >> reporter: jim flynn of flynn's real estate agency says the storm surge forced 14-inches of water into his business compared to 8-inches during super storm sandy. >> we did not prepare for this severe tidal flooding. >> reporter: north wildwood mayor patrick says the tidal rush bow a foot higher than predicted. greater intensity that makes a huge difference. >> the sand -- the beach came up to his gazebo and now there's about a 15-foot drop from the gazebo down to the sand. >> reporter: acting governor toured south jersey beaches with dep officials. she said it's too early to make any damage assessments. some people in cape may county say they will spent at least the next several weeks cleaning up and they think governor christie is underestimating the aftermath in the southern part of the state. >> there are children who couldn't be in their homes all weekend who have no food. they're clothes beach, delaware. sunny skies today, but the storm and rough surf eroded a lot of beach and chopped away half of the dunes. route 1 between bethany and dewey beach is now reopened after the flood and use the #fox29snow. one man arrested after a stab at a south philadelphia convenience store. police tell us the victim was stabbed in the face and cut on his ear in the 2100 block of south sixth street. he's at the hospital much he's expected to be okay. police arrested the suspect less than block away. the man accused of ambushing a philadelphia police officer in the name of islam will not be in court until march. a judge moved preliminary hearing for edward archer from today to march 10th. prosecutors say archer ambushed officer jesse hartnett in his patrol car on january 7th. doctors released officer hartnett from the hospital on friday. he was shot three times in the arm. the fbi is investigating the act as an act of terrorism. armed robbery caught on video in west philadelphia. philadelphia police say these two guys walked into the rodriguez grocery store on north 57th street last thursday, surveillance video shows one of the guys pulling a gun on a female worker. cops say she yelled, drawing the attention of some people outside but once the suspect pointed the gun at them, too, they ran off. the two guys got away with money and took off down race street. if you are from philadelph philadelphia, you know the name. >> dietz and watson and today a big birthday for their longest serving employee the company is known for lunch meats, franks and sausages and momma dietz turned 91 years old. she started coming to work with her dad back in 1939. he was the founder of the company and for 76 years dietz and watson has run a family business. what keeps momma working transit is back up and running for the most part. city street crews say they will get to your street but the word of the day or days really is patience. >> these are those irregular storms that after a day of is you shine you can't just look out the window and say, you know, it's sunny, how come there's snow on my street? >> 40 plow trucks working to clear those roads. 24/7. camden's school district is closed tomorrow as the city continues to dig out. chester county church rebuilding after some heavy damage was done to the property. calgary fellowship church in downingtown roof collapsed this weekend during the snowstorm. church officials say about 5 feet of snow blew on to the roof and the collapse caused significant damage to the building and to the sanctuary. church officials anticipate being out of the sanctuary for at least sick months. the church will use their gym to hold church services for now. in montgomery county, this hill was the place to be this afternoon. in touch in clearwater providing customers support for brands like a. air bnb and netflix much the company admits it found bed bugs at the building. it says it has treated the building four times and
