of the suspects was also shot fox 29's jennifer joyce live outside hahnemann university hospital where he is being treated, jennifer. >> reporter: good morning chris and lauren. the suspect is being treated at hahnemann hospital. police are still outside, it is believed that the suspect was shot in the arm. that is also where the officer was shot. he is at presbyterian hospital and good news is police say he will be okay. taking a look at our video you can see the 19th district officer's bike lying on the sidewalk as police surround the area and investigate around 10:15 in the park side section of west philadelphia when bike officer daniel kostick was attempt to go stop a man in the van for a possible drug investigation. the van took off. officer kostick caught up with the suspect around 51st and master street when the suspect stated quote i don't want to have to do this. she then allegedly fired the weapon at the officer. the officer kostick returned fire and shot the suspect. the eight year police veteran will be okay. his family wife and two children has been at the hospital at his side. >> he is in good spirits. i asked him if i could say that. he said absolutely. he is here with his family right now. we are just very, very lucky. he is very lucky given the circumstances. obviously we do not know what was on this guy's mind to have someone say like that is highly unusual. and then to fire at a police officer like that it just makes you wonder and gives you pause. >> reporter: suspect who was shot was taken in custody in the 5,000 block of master street. a second suspect was also taken into custody, according to police. police tell us that a weapon was recovered. we are expecting new information on the investigation, as the the day continues. chris and okay luckily. also developing for you this morning, philadelphia police investigating the deadly shooting of a chinese food delivery man, this is in northeast philadelphia. >> they say he was shot last night in the 500 block have of hill creek park, just trying to drive away. fox 29's steve keeley is live where officers say this is an ongoing investigation this morning, steve. >> reporter: not too far down the list on the dangerous jobs list right below police officer for sure is late night food delivery guy and this guy, as you can see in the video, is driving a 2013 toyota corolla. it is 10:30 last night. someone either set him up or ordered food in the philadelphia housing project known as hill creek apartments there in the lawncrest section. that is where police found a dozen bullet casings and shattered car window glass from this gentlemen's toyota corolla. he drove away after getting shot and only got two blocks before crashing here soon after crossing adams avenue. >> preliminary information reveals that this 49 year-old victim is a delivery person, may have been making a delivery somewhere in the hill creek homes when he was shot. it is unknown at this time if he is victim of the robbery. it is unknown at this time if he was inside his vehicle when he was shot the or just outside and after being shot got back in the vehicle. we are not sure at this time. homicide detective are on the location processing the scene where spent shell case willings are and processing the crime scene where victim was found in the vehicle which is only about the length of crashed and it turns out whoever shot him had missed him 11 times hitting this 49 year-old delivery man for a local chinese take out with just one of 12 shots at him. >> we believe this 49 year-old victim is a chinese food delivery man. we believe he was making a deliver toy one of the properties in the hill creek homes. we found 12 spent shell casings, in the 500 block of hill creek park. we also found some broken window which we believe was the glass from the driver door window that the victim was in because that driver door window glassies also broken. most of that door window in the vehicle some of the window and the glass was on the highway, next to the 12 spent shell casings. we know that at least 12 shots were fired from the semiautomatic weapons. >> we have learned from the crew here at headquarters that they have homicide detective team at three different spots. first of all hill creek public housing project where they believe the shooting happened and then crash scene
