>> i will say i've gotten a little bit, you know, i think, wimpy since i moved here. >> she is newly married. she should be cuddling up with someone. >> he needs to come home in the middle of of the day. >> well then, then you should not be cuddling up with anybody. all right. 395 across the 14th street bridge, lanes are open. no problems reported as you work your way across the southeast-southwest freeway. no problems as you head into rockville. chopt. it is primary day in five states. presumptive republican nominee mitt romney is looking for a landslide today. pennsylvania is one of the states holding primaries and romney and there with senator marco rubio fueling more speculation that he could pick him to be his vp nominee. von paul is still in the race and newt gingrich is hoping for an upset in delaware today. police are investigationing a hit and run out of montgomery county. this happened last night along new hampshire avenue in white oak. police say a driver hit another car forcing it off the road on to the porch of a house. two people were in that car. one was taken to the hospital. it is unclear if anyone was in the house at the time. an alert from metrobus riders this morning. a bus is out of service because the driver has viral meningitis which is a highly con stagous illness. the drive worked friday but had previously been on vacation. the bus in question is from the 14th street line running to buchanan street, colorado street and l'enfant plaza. the bus is out of circulation until it can be thoroughly cleaned. metro is disinfecting 164 other buss in the northern division as a precaution. one of the drivers of a different metrobus has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a passenger. investigators say the incident happened last friday in arlington. the driver as excused of physically removing a passenger from a bus after an altercation. metro officials say that passenger was treated for a broken arm. the driver is on paid administrative leave pending the results of routine drug and alcohol testing. major developments in a multiple murder case. a man charged with killing alexandria community activist lenny harris is now being charged with two other murders. police believe tyrone lewis is responsible for killing a 17- year-old boy last october and a cab driver seven years ago. fox 5's wisdom martin has more this morning. >> reporter: this is a surveillance photo from last fall taken at an atm. investigators say this man, tyrone lewis, is using murder victim lenny harris' bank card. lewis is now charged in harris' murder and also charged in two other murder cases. one. of the cases is the murder 17- year-old justin isaacs. last october, he was shot and killed and found lying on the front steps of his home in hillcrest. >> i was shocked because i was out here after it happened. >> reporter: justin's neighbor and classmate daunt want his face shown. >> he was really laid back. i seen him in class a lot. >> reporter: another person, kevin walker, jr. was also charged in the isaacs case. the second murder case is the 2005 shooting of a taxi driver. police say he was sitting at a stop sign in capitol heights when he was shot and killed by someone in his cab. investigators were working additional information they had gotten in the harris murder since january. >> that little bit of information leads to other information which leads to -- it becomes a big ball of information and we were able to corroborate it and obtain the warrants. >> reporter: in both cases, investigators say robbery was the motive. >> that was wisdom martin reporting. a teacher in prince george's county is face is charges of waiting too long to report sexual abuse. police say students on two separate occasions told her to report an alleged sexual abuse last month. teachers in virginia are required to report any suspected abuse within 72 hours. maryland governor martin o'malley will meet with state leaders today about a special session. lawmaker failed to pass a revenue package to avoid about a half billion dollars in cuts. the governor says he will not call a special session until the house and senate both agree to a deal. new developments this morning in the trayvon martin case. the resignation of the police chief there rejected. we will explain coming up next. the fbi says it is done with its search in new york city connected to the disappearance of of a little boy more than 30 years ago. did investigators find anything? >> i was like i'm going to die. >> we're terrified. we never had a situation where we had dogs. everybody on my block has lap dogs. they have dogs like that. >> i'm just glad to be alive but i'm sad that the owner allowed this to happen. >> reporter: andre hawthorne, a 54-year-old usher at nats stadium, is wounding a left arm and has a chunk bitten out his right hand. he was mauled trying to keep the dog away from the children. >> when the dog came, let them have my left arm. i threw my left arm up so he could have that while i stuck him with the knife. and then a second dog come. >> reporter: that is when mr. hawthorne's stepson donald charles stepped in, swinging a baseball bat. >> if it wasn't for him, i might be worse than i am today. >> reporter: how frightening was it the other night. >> it was terrifying. something got to be done. >> reporter: but the dogs and their owner were not home when this animal control officer came knocking. he would check out the entire block but find nothing. still no sign. dog? >> nothing yet. >> reporter: little latrice wilkins says she saw the dogs' owner trying to get them to come home. he called after them but they wouldn't listen. no. >> what did he do? >> he said forget it and went into the house. >> reporter: later today, a d.c. police officer visited queen street to give mr. hawthorne two tickets to tonight's wizards game, a token of appreciation. >> he saved the kids' lives and my son saved his life. >> andre hawthorne is being treated for possible exposure to rabies now. the d.c. department of health says it has ordered the dog be impounded and will have animal patrol officers pat ronald goldman that trinidad neighborhood until the dog were taken off the street. you could tell from the video. >> he certainly is a hero and thank goodness the stepson had the wherewithal to get a baseball bat. the white house party crashers back in the headlines again. we are not talking about her. it is the ex. tareq salahi, why is he being sued?
