academy. authorities say images and video of children eng engaging n sexual conduct with each other and adults was found on speights phone. this morning cleanup efforts under way at the portion of its garage ceiling collapsed. these are photos tweeted out by d.c. fire and ems. one car was damaged but fortunately no one was hurt. no word yet on what caused this ceiling to collapse. >> this morning two men in manassas are being called heroes. they rescued two boys tra burning house. there were several people inside the home on brenton wood drive at the time of the fire and several were able to get out when the fire broke out but there were two boys trapped on the second floor and neighbors heard their screams for help. >> i saw three people. i say i -- i talk to the kids on the roof. hey jump over here i catch you. i saw and i say you can't jump. you break your leg. i go get my ladder. >> the two men used a ladder to help get the kids to safety. they were able to help them before firefighters arrived. >> new this morning, the redskins 2017 football schedule has been released. and here's the alleged toughest portion of the schedule. i don't know how you can say it's tough when they haven't even drafted or played a game yet as it stands in october 23rd at philadelphia at the eagles. week eight sunday october 29th they host the cowboys week nine they travel out toast face the four cars underneath there, one of them crushed pretty badly and we also were talking about some apartment damage, too, late last eugene also going to show you, you can see the tree tops just sheared off. the apartment building behind under the circumstances, the tall presidential towers, the 20 story building, let's take you tovo from there. last night 250 people were temporarily evacuated as building inspectors had to inspect crazy damage. resees dents said they heard a whoosh and windows breaking. responding crews say they saw the walls stretch out. now let's take you to some pictures from prince george's county police. inside the building sections3 of dry wall had been loan off of interior walls. there were also cracks in the brick all of this apparently from very strong winds. >> the theory is that when this strong storm rolled through at about 8:30 this evening it pressurized some confined spaces in this apartment building and actually pushed out some walls. not really causing any real structural damage but cosmetic damage to dry wall. we had a broken window or two some window blinds were roughed up. very strong winds entered this building and somehow pressurized confined spaces. >> it was like a bomb. i said oh my god what's going on here. and i just look and on my windows t-i got really, really scared. >> reporter: so, as crazy as all that sounds, building inspectors say that the towers there are safe. but again, a lot of cleanup to do, a lot of questions about what happened here. national weather service says that it was a thunderstorm. i also want to show you this tree here. look at how that trunk is broken off. so, perhaps we may have had just some very strong winds, perhaps it may have been something else. we'll have to talk with our fox5 mike, we've been talking about it. storms last night. it's going to continue today. >> yeah, possibly in fact today could almost be a carbon copy of what we had yesterday with temperatures expected to be back in the 80's maybe a couple degrees warmer and with that heat of the day and the cold front passing later today we could spark some thunderstorms. straight to futurecast this morning. here we are at noon. mix of clouds and sun out there but again it will b we work our way into the 4, 5 o'clock hour, that's when futurecast is really showing a blowup of storms mostly from i-95 and portions east. one or two of those could be on the strong side. not expecting a big severe weather day today but one or two could be on the severe side of things. working our way into tomorrow t-starts off cloudy and with scattered showers but as we work our way into the evening we get a steady rain into the region that could last through the overnight hours and into sunday morning. fox5 accuweather 7-day forecast a warm and humid 84 degrees today. down to 65 tomorrow with clouds and showers throughout the day. rain likely to start sunday but then tapering off to showers in the afternoon. change to the forecast monday tuesday now look cloudy with chances of showers each day. lower 60's.s held into the- we will really heat it up next week. in fact, mark it down. i'm calling first 90 of the teachers is in trouble with the law. >> police say some disturbing video of children was found on his phone. fox5's annie yu live at bradbury heights elementary in capitol heights where that teacher worked. annie, good morning. >> reporter: hey, good morning to you, wisdom and erin. yes, the suspect did work here at bradbury heights. he was also a local coach. so, clearly this person came in close contact with a lot of children so maryland state police are putting the warning your child may have come in contact with this person, to give them a call. meanwhile i want to show you who we're talking about. this is 34-year-old christopher speights of capitol heights maryland. he's a long time sub here at bradbury heights elementary testimony he also served as a youth basketball coach for south county sports academy. police arrested him thursday morning at his capitol heights home where he lives with his mother and he's now facing child pornography charges. inside speights' home investigators say they seized his iphone ipad and computer that was linked to a drop box account that police say spurred this five month long investigation. on the digital cloud, the maryland state police computer crimes unit say they found numerous child pornography videos and the descriptions of these videos are too graphic to share with you all but investigators believe the children in those videos were as young as seven years old o prince george's county public schools are on spring break but in statement they told that you say they are aware of the arrest and that he will no longer s district and they are fully cooperating with police in this investigation. again, speights faced with serious charges, child pornography charges and police tell us more could be coming can. that's the latest. annie yu fox5 local news isn't that metro hosting a lunchtime information session for college students today. it's an information session where they can learn more about metro's new university pass program commonly known as u pass. it gives full time college attendees unlimited metrobus and metro rail access so they can travel to and from campus internships jobs and activities. that's this afternoon where you can go to this session from 12:00 to 2:00 at metro's headquarters. if you live in maryland and you need to do business at the mva you better do it today or july to wait until monday. all maryland motor vehicle administration locations will be closed tomorrow. that includes all inspection stations. they're closing for statewide computer upgrades. the agency says this will allow locations to better se you also won't be able to conduct web or self service kiosk transactions tomorrow through noon on sunday. >> hm. >> so keep that in mind. >> hopeful that will help speed violent confrontation that landed a sonoma county sheriff's deputy on the wrong side of the law. he recorded his encounter with deputies last september. they were overheard by nei deputy scott thorn went on to beat the man with a baton. thorn was fired and is now on trial for felony assault. >> the man convicted of killing former new orleans saints defensive lineman will smith has been sentenced. cardale hayes will that spend 25 years behind bars for the shooting death of smith. he was also punished for the shooting of smith's wife racquel s orleans last april injuring a road rage incident. we're told both men jumped out of the their vehicles ready for a fight. the defense plans to appeal the conviction as well as the sentence. >> nfl player is under investigation at a hospital this
