and i'm ian reitz. it's being hailed as the world series matchup of a lifetime. the chicago cubs rally to overcome a 3-1 deficit, and earn a championship title for the first time in 108 years. 10news reporter emerald morrow is live in the newsroom. emerald, there are arguments for last night being the best world series game seven...ever. yeah, ian...and if it's not...it sure is up there wiom but our news partners at usa today make the case that it is, indeed, the best in baseball. and here's why... first up...obviously, the teams and their extremely long championship droughts. the cubs and the indians...really, the cubs... i don't think many of us thought we'd ever be calling that team world series champions... or even the indians for that matter...who haven't seen a title since the 40s. then point number two...the pendulum swings of for a moment there, it looked like the indians would take it all. but those cubbies surprised us all and came back with a vengeance. and then there was the drama of the extra innings, the rain delay...just was so much anticipation building that ultimately went in favor of the cubs, breaking that darned curse of the billy goat that so many believed held the cubbies back all these years. that fan says it's a dream come true....well it's a dream cubs fans spent all night celebrating out in wrigleyville. in fact, there are still a few stragglers out there right now as we speak. and coming up in the 6, o'clock hour, we'll take a look at how some of the cubs biggest fans are celebrating... of course celebrities came out to the game.. including charlie sheen, known as the "wild thing" from the movie major league. in the movie -- he played a cleveland organization said they would not ask him to throw out the first pitch.. but two cleveland businessmen flew him out to the game anyway. and of course, lebron james who won a championship with the cavs earlier this year. he loses his mind after an indians player hits a two run homerun to tie the game at six. this is already a "gif" that's been trending online. no word on how he reacted after the loss. if you're ever flown allegiant or know somebody if you're ever flown allegiant or know somebody who has, you have to listen to this story. a tampa bay times investigation found allegiant planes are four times as likely to fail during flight as other jets. 10news reporter sarah hollenbeck is live at st pete- clearwater airport. sarah, what's even scarier, is that the federal government hasn't done much to keep everyone safe. yes, get this: last year, allegiant jets were forced to make 77 emergency landings. the federal aviation administration, according to the times investigation. that's scary for people flying out of this airport-- this morning. according to the times investigation, the f-a-a doesn't compare airline breakdown records to look for warning signs. it's true that all the major airlines have jets that break down once in awhile. but none of them break down in midair more often than allegiant. from leaky hydraulic systems, to failing brakes, to planes catching fire during aborted landings...every incident reported to the federal government. last year, after so many terrifying ordeals, the f-a-a launched a three- month review of allegiant's maintenance, programs. investigators found problems with allegiant's maintenance paperwork, but decided nothing it discovered was severe enough to take action. i'm digging into two things at 6-30- what does allegiant have to say about these issues? are they making any changes to keep you safe? and-- this story has a lot of you lashing out on facebook-- what you have to say about this scathing investigation and if it will change your opinion on taking allegiant flights. ian and allison.... 10 news has spent the past few weeks helping you understand some of the amendments you're voting on. this morning, it's all about amendment two, medical marijuana. amendment 2 is all about marijuana. if you vote yes --- you will expand the medical marijuana laws already in place. a yes vote legalizes medical marijuana with thc - the compound that makes you high - to people with 10 specific illnesses including cancer, hiv, aids, ptsd, multiple sclerosis, and parkinsons. you won't be able to go to a doctor, complain of a headache, and get pot. to an increase in medical marijuana dispensaries state-wide. the state just started its first deliveries of low- thc medical marijuana. richard murphy suffered a traumatic brain injury in a car accident two years ago. richard's and his wife pamela hope this legal marijuana oral spray will help with his daily seizures. a vote no opposes wholesale legalizing medical marijuana and keeps the current program as it is. amendment 2 needs 60 percent of the vote to pass... right now, it has a wopping 77 percent of people who say they'd support it.## you can check out our breakdowns of this you can check out our breakdowns of this and other amendments ,all at wtsp-dot-com. and on our free 10 news app. waltzed into the tampa's farmers market early wednesday morning. the hillsborough county sheriff's office says the man in a tutu and another in a sweatshirt damaged a glass door to break in. the two stole fruit and a soda. investigators believe the crooks outrageous costume could help catch him. if you remember seeing him, there is a crimestoppers reward for his capture. this is really interesting. facebook has reached a major milestone. in the last three months, one billion users checked the social media site using only their phones. that is eight times the number of people that use facebook on their personal computers. facebook's goal is to become a "mobile first company." winning 43 million dollars on a slot machine only to find out the machine had actually malfunctioned?
