A developing story this morning. A possible case of measles in Fairfax County. Health Officials Say that patient is quarantined this morning. Richard skror dan is live at the Fairfax County Health Department with more on what we should learn later today. Soo. Reporter in just a few hours, the Health Department will release the test results that will either confirm or possibly rule out the possibility of measles for this patient. That confirmation corrected later on this afternoon. Right now the patient is at home in isolation because the measles is very con passenger yus. Its not clear as to how this person may have come in contact with the virus, how they were exposed, how they got measles or possibly got measles. Again, were still waiting for the test results to come back. But every precaution is being taken including looking at exposure sites, who may have come in contact with this person that can now, at risk. Simple teams to look out for of course high fever and then the bumps and rash. Several states have at least one reported case of measles. Virginia wouldnt 18th state if todays results come back positive. There is also one case in d. C. He was arrested in january while he was in town to announce a College Basketball game. Court documents show that anthony responded to an ad placed by police on a classified website. Police are trying to federal government out who stabbed federal government out who stabbeded a plan to death at the Donovan Hotel along 14th street. Were waiting for police to release more information. A second teen shot at Frederick High School in maryland is back home and out of the hospital. Two teenagers were shot last week at the school while attending a jv basketball game. Police are still looking for whoever was responsible for that shooting. Police are asking anyone who was at the game during the shooting on february 4th to hand over any photos or video that may help in the investigation. The other teen involved in the shooting was released from the hospital last week. Today metro will go over its emergency plans for leaders from across our area. As another hostage is killed the state department has hinted there may be more american hostages. Kayla mueller was killed by isis. Parents of an 8yearold girl are upset that their daughter was able to leave an Alexandria School without the teacher noticing. Friday morning 8yearold natalia left Williams Ramsey elementary and started to walk home. She was running down the street and a strarngnger found her picked her up, called 911. The pileup occurred in foggy weather on icy roads. Also this morning, as excoast guard officer in soth korea has been sentenced to four years in prison for they go against during last years deadly ferry sinking, the court says lives could have been saved if the captain had broadcast an Evacuation Order after he arrived to rescue passengers.
