The federal Transit Administration found the total cost of safetrack would be more than 118 million. The report also found that metro lacked a Management Plan for the work thats disrupted so many riders. Adam tuss is here now with reporter these rail cars have been called the dogs of the metro fleet. They have been a known problem for a long time within the metro system. There are 82 rail cars out on the system right now. So thats not a huge impact to metro riders, but the one thing you might notice is fewer longer eight car trains. That could be the big impact. Cub ran in the tree and the grandmother got between the bear and the cub and broke her arm and scratched her up really bad. Then i u heard a cub up in the tree. The bear family is known to people who live in the iron gate neighborhood. We just like our wildlife. Backyard. The mother bear had an injured shoulder, possibly hit by a car at some point. She was tagged by the department of Natural Resources and had a tracking device. She could be protective of her cubs. When i got a little close, she made a mock charge and i backed off and everything was okay. Using special equipment, experts with dnr worked through the night to locate the bear and this morning she was found and killed. And free to roam. We handled one of the cubs. Its been tagged. The other two cubs were down there. They are both more than capable of surviving on their own. They are close to 100 pounds.
