stabbed in the stomach in the 2400 block of adams morgan. police say a man was stabbed on upshore street, two miles away from the first incident. police have not said if the two cases are connected. i want to bring in chuck bell. we had a couple of days this week that were just gorgeous and then yesterday it all started to fall apart. >> well, but don't worry. that's all i really have to tell you about this weekend. this is the winter we've not had to fear extended periods of cold at all, so a little chill outside to get our weekend morning started and that's the case again tomorrow morning, but oh my goodness is it going to be warm around here again. and i mean soon. outside right now, enjoy all of the daylight early in the day. the last time we get our sun rise this early because, of course, it's daylight saving weekend. tonight when you go to bed, you have to move your clocks ahead one hour. those of us already sleep shortened on the weekends, it's our least favorite weekend of the whole year. temperatures ho s hovering just around the area. 33 waldorf and there is a breeze blowing out there. as a result, windchills back in the mid up ander 20s. a bit of a bundle upper this morning. nothing showing up to us. closest showers of any kind. snow showers in parts of central new york. plenty of sunshine today. saturday planner, temperatures up in the low 40s. making it up to around 50 degrees or so today. a couple of afternoon clouds around. damascus, maryland, up to the mid 40s in upper montgomery county this afternoon. and then back to the chilly 30s. a cool one coming. chilly mornings, changing clocks and still talk of a warming trend. more coming up. >> see you in a bit. thanks. this morning, mitt romney waking up a winner yet again. the former massachusetts governor captured the caucus in the u.s. territory of guam, securing nine more delegates. 215 registered republicans that participated decided instead of using paper ballots they would vote by a show of hands. there are three more caucuses today. the guam win for romney comes as he prepares for tuesday's primaries in alabama and mississippi. he was in birmingham yesterday, joined by singer randy owe nguyen, front man for alabama. romney stumped for votes, telling the crowd his business experience makes him a better choice to help america's economy than president obama. romney close to tied in alabama. and rick santorum traveled to kansas ahead of that state's caucus and told crowds in topeka and wichita, he is the candidate to trust to square off against the president. santorum slammed romney, saying he reinvests himself for whatever is convenience and simply can't be trusted. there are 40 delegates available in kansas and a distant second to romney in the delegate count. newt gingrich says he's staying in the race, even if he loses mississippi and alabama. this despite being a distant third in the delegate count. gingrich traveled to all parts of mississippi, stumping for votes, and told reporters he plans to stay in the race, all the way to the republican national convention in august. the former house speaker was pressured to drop out from rick santorum's camp earlier this week, but expects to outlast santorum. redskins fans have wanted a blockbuster move, and the team has answered and could bring the quarterback of the future to washington. the redskins traded up to acquire the second overall pick from the rams. it's expected to be used stud quarterback robert griffin iii to d.c. the heisman trophy winner threw more than 4,200 yards his junior year at baylor and 37 touchdowns. the move came at a high price. the rams will receive this year's first and second picks from the redskins along with washington's first-round picks in 2013 and 2014. the move is creating major buzz online. it lit up our facebook page overnight. so far, a mix of excitement and skepticism. voss says yes, great choice. they need all of the help and top-notch hungry players they can get. and another says you just traded the next three years' first rounders for a college qb that has done nothing in the nfl?
