of crime stats in the city. the rate of property crimes drop by 10% in the first half of 2016 compared to the same time last year. property crimes dropped by 12%. the repo a decrease in violent crimes while the number of homicides is up 31%. there was 16 homicides in the first half of 2015 compared to 21 in the first half of this year. the wake county school board fills a budget gap that required making cuts. they included adjusting school thermostats and reductions in money for school supplies and transportation. a big concert was cutting custodial work. were frequent schedules at middle
