they believe the shootings may be connected. >> following the investigation since the story broke this the investigation stands tonight. >> durham police and the s.w.a.t. team spends five hours on taylor street. a man linked to 2 shootings cornered. this is the sound of the police s.w.a.t. team shooting tear gas in an apartment on taylor street. the investigators believe the suspected gunman was at the apartment or took off from that apartment. >> at this time we have late entry into that particular locationnd >> reporter: it all started with two shootings thursday afternoon within 10 minutes of each other. sky 5 over both scenes, one at north maple street. the police say the man or the woman was shot. the second shooting happened on harvard avenue. not far away. a man was shot. all three shooting victims were transported for treatment. the police say information led them to taylor street. the police blocked off the area and forced residents to leave their homes as a
