case. here is what we know from the garner police department as of tonight. tonight a total of 29hoa's officially filed reports with the garner police preliminary stages of this investigation. but they are also planning on meeting with the hoa's in the next few weeks. now, i am will told it is really too old to determine a total sum of money that is unaccounted for. they are expecting upwards from 5,000 missing from all 29 of these hoa's. now, all of these homeowner associations, at some point, were maintained by cornerstone hoa's in the triangle area and some of us tell us thousands have been drained from their accounts, checked bounced or access to their funds blocked all together. many are not confident they will get that money back and they expect a potential legal process will be like a legal matter and it will take time to fix. >> reporter: we reached out to kelly, the woman listed as the president of cornerstone. when we googled cornerstone it said that the company is now
