want to because the disturbance in the upper atmosphere linked with this system is still coming through and still a few patches of yellow and orange so don't be surprised if the rain comes down harder from time to time over the next few hours. high temperatures early today made it into the 50s but once the rain started many areas fell back into the 40s. here's a look at the sky cam downtown. visibility is not too bad at this particular point in time. temperature 48 at the airport with an east northeast wind shifting to the west northwest the arrival of dryer air and humidity at 96%. the satellite view as we widen it the calmer shape is a very well developed system a mature system in the upper atmosphere but as it moves off to the north and east dryer air back in here flooding in here. that's sort of an oxy moreon flooding in. moving in i guess i should say. the next system out in here which is rather complex and looks like light precipitation late saturday night into sunday morning in the form of light rain but there could be a few wet snow flakes mixed in just enough to scare everybody but no need to be scared because temperatures above freezing. upper air flow with temperatures kink in the line and the wave coming through right now. the next wave is down here look how far south that is and flattens with time and it's weakening. that's why we are not looking and the cold air pours in all the way down to northern north carolina so it's going to be chilly here but dry monday and tuesday and we really don't have to worry about precipitation into next week when this wave begins to approach and by that time temperatures are rebounding so the next situation would probably be in the liquid form as well. it continues to be a frustrating winter for snow lovers and snow haters it is fire no, sir vanya. the forecast for this evening temperatures to be in the 40s and low 50s. showers still around and late this evening overnight we start to get clearing low of 41 and that sets up for a beauty tomorrow partly sunny to mostly sunny 59, 62 around fayetteville. beaches nice tomorrow. really can't argue for this at all for the 16th of january. 1/6/16. >> that's
