throughout philadelphia while riding a bike may have struck again. investigators are look investigating at a new assault. the new case was reported by a woman overnight on the 1600 block of became bridge street in south philadelphia. a man on a bike touched her inappropriately as she was walking home from work. other cases not far away remain un. someone shot a man riding a motorcycle in the head outside of steve's prince of steaks in northeast philadelphia. the shooting followed an argument next to the cheese steak shop on comly street. the 32-year-old victim's motorcycle crashed in the planned parenthood parking lot next to the steak shop. he is in critical condition. police don't know if he was the intended target. this morning the search continues for the shooter. >> teddy bears and cards and candles sit outside the home of an 8-year-old girl in camden who was killed by a bullet that wasn't intended for her. her mother and the community is pleading for the killer to come forward. >> oh, my god. >> reporter: you could feel marissa carter's anguish as she spoke to hundreds who came to mourn her daughter, 8-year-old gabriel. >> she was fun and loving and outgoing. >> reporter: family friends and neighbors lit candles and hugged in front of the home where gabby lived feet from where she was shot in the head, an innocent victim of a gun battle wednesday night. this person has to be caught. >> call the police. >> reporter: the vigil was a rally for justice, gabby's cousin appealed to those in the crowd who were afraid to tell police about the gunman. >> despite handing out flyers and growing reward, police officials say the community is largely tight lipped. >> western somebody knows something, we encourage anybody with any information, any knowledge, funk you know, if you her chatter, report it to the proper authorities. we want to bring this person to justice. >> reporter: there has been a significant police presence in the neighborhood since the shooting on wednesday, we are told it will continue for the foreseeable future. the reward in this case is up to $24,000, and tipsters can remain a -- anonymous. >> we are learning about who tipped off police to an atm skimming scam. police arrested the person on medford road in northeast. this is a skimming device allowing crook do access bank accounts. they saw the suspect trying to place the device at the true mark credit union at academy and byberry road. a bank material tipped off the police. the suspect was bold. >> the arrogance brought him back on the following week, on the 20th and that continued arrogance brought him back today, it ended up to leading to his arrest. >> this morning, police say they are looking for an accomplice that may have helped the man. democratic vice earlier this month researchers discovered that a prominent human rights activist phone was targeted with a an unknown way to hack. security company found the hack would have installed malware allowing in the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. >> thank you so much. 7:32. new this morning, a gunman fired at least 7 shots at a driver of a car in north philadelphia. that victim was hit once in the head. the driver is in critical, but stable condition at temple university hospital. the action cam right at the scene, shortly after 2:00 a.m. where the bullet riddled audi came to an stop germantown avenue and erie street. the victim was able to drive that far after being shot along the 1300 block of erie. police are looking for the suspects and trying to figure out a motive. new this morning, a three car crash in northeast philadelphia has sent two people to the hospital. the action cam was at that scene at harbison and bustleton avenues. those in the hospital do not have life threatening injuries. police are trying to determine the cause of the accident. >> this morning a reward is growing for information leading to the arrest and conviction in the murder of a little girl. this as her family tries to come to grips with her senseless death. >> oh, my god. >> reporter: 8-year-old gabriel carter's mother she could not hold back her anguish during a vigil for her daughter. hundreds gathered in camden last night. the little girl was shot in the head as she sat on the front steps of other own mom. a victim of a gun battle. the vigil served as an appeal for justice. >> we encourage anybody who has information, any knowledge, if you think you know, you hear chatter, report it to the proper authorities and bring this person to justice. >> so far police have not suspects in the murder. the reward has grown to $24,000. investigators in salem county are trying to figure out what caused a house to catch fire that left one woman dead. the victim's brother is a firefighter across the river in wilmington. he and the victim's son spoke to trish hartman at the scene. >> i don't know where i'll be going. >> reporter: 26-year-old rahmir harold was embraced by friends and family outside the home in salem. his mother died in the blaze that started early saturday morning. rahmir said he was staying with a family member when the fire started. he remember his mom as an independent woman who taught him and his brother to work hard. >> stay strong. my mom would want that. >> reporter: his older brother is a firefighter with the city of wilmington. >> you get ready to see this as a firefighter, but to have a family member, you know, i know what the fire will do. >> reporter: investigators with the new jersey state fire marshal spent hours going through the home looking for a cause. meanwhile, relatives gathered to comfort one another remembering a woman who always put her two sons first. >> whatever it takes to get the job done for family, she was always there. >> reporter: her son will be staying with family members, her younger son is 18 and just started his freshman year of college in north carolina last weekend. he is back in town to mourn with their flight to make an emergency landing. one of its engines fell a part 31,000 feet up over the gulf of mexico. a piece of metal object pierced the fuselage, 99 passengers were on board crying and praying for a safe landing and they got it. the flight 250 minutes from new orleans and orlando, landed safely in pensacola. some are calling the crew members a board the southwest flight heros. ntsb 90 degrees when all is said and done. it will be the 38th time we hit 90 or higher. normally we should be around 84. the low temperature was 70 degrees. allentown, low 60s low humidity levels, as well. only in the 50s in the mountains. 65 in trenton. reading, 65. lancaster, 66 degrees, just like yesterday lots of sunshine from start to finish. you'll see high, thin clouds overspread the area later this afternoon. that's the cloud deck where the sun shines through that. another nice looking day out there. this forecast model has us hanging out in the upper 80s. accuweather will go 90. the reason i'm showing you this, look at the surrounding suburbs. most of the region stays in the 80s. the city of philadelphia might be the lone exception to the rule. tomorrow afternoon, a lot of suburbs in the 80s. philadelphia topping out in the low 90s with the increased humidity it will feel like the mid 90s him this is not a terrible heat wave we're moving into like some of the heat waves we've seen this summer. same thing tuesday, look at this, 85. the model has us in the mid 80s. accuweather will go 88 for the high. the surrounding suburbs, low to mid 80s. it's not a terrible heat wave, it's uncomfortable at times, but not dangerous or oppressive. here's good news for the tropics. this system appears to be disorganized and raggedy. as it starts to enter the gulf of mexico, this is where we become concerned because gulf temperatures are in the 90s and the sheer begins to weaken. this is an environment conducive to development. where does it go? some of the forecast models and every line represents a forecast model. some of the models take it northeastward into the panhandle of florida and there's models that run it west from new orleans to houston, texas. it's a question mark at this point point as to where the storm will travel. one thing for certain the sunshine state will not be living up to its name, miami, 7 inches of rain. 90 degrees in philadelphia. reading, 90. everybody else upper 80s, sun and clouds, more humid. with the humidity maybe it feels a degree or two warmer than the actual air temperature. for the jersey shore, low 80s. moderate risk for rip currents. if you're heading into the water, pay attention to the lifeguard. seas will be choppy, 3 to 4 feet. the sea breeze is out of the east/northeast 35 to 10 miles per hour. burn index very high standing for the national anthem. he said he will not show pride in a flag or a a county that oppresses black people and people of color. he is biracial and april adopted and raised by white parents. nfl says players are encouraged but not required to stand for the national anthem. 49ers say he has a right to protest. a second grade teacher in texas is making this promise. less homework. information most days no homework at all. the teacher said after a summer of research found something new, homework will consist of work that didn't get done during the school day. after that she recommends spending time on activities that she has found do more to improve student performance like reading together, playing outside, going to bed early. she said there's too much pressure for
