Theres an entire two block radius that is shut down here so that they can investigate. They say that the crime scene spans all the way from this parking lot of this Shopping Center to across the street where that kfc s now, right now police say the homicide victim suffered a gunshot wound to their chest. It also appears he had graze wounds on his head and they believe a slootout took place here in this parking lot possibly between several people. That is why it is such a large scene. Now take a look at this video, the crime scene unit homicide detectives got out here about an hour ago. Investigators found a cluster of shell casings lined a car in the parking lot near where the body was discovered. Then across the street they found more shell casings only 50 feet away. Thats by the can kfc. At that area they believe that those shell casings are from a different weapon, a larger weapon. Police found the victim after calls came out around 2 30 this morning, a 25yearold victim. They say there he was unresponsive. They scooped him and transported him to einstein hospital where he was pronounced dead. Now Police Believe one of the guns used in this may be in a parked car in this parking lot. They are still waiting for a search warrant. Heres what police had to say about the investigation so far. We did find two individuals who were still on scene and they were identified by witnesses as being part of the altercation. One of them possibly being the shooter. So, those two individuals were transported in separate vehicles to homicide. Reporter and back out here live again hes talking about two witnesses that were out here and also two persons of interest.
