men at least one armed robbed a 21-year-old student of his keys wallet and phone. police believe the incidents were unrelated. >> it's shocking and disheartening. >> campus officials want students to utilize escorts and shuttles provided by the university. they beefed up security after an armed sexual assault of a student last week. s shaheed bennett was charged with that crime. >> i feel pretty hospital after being dragged across a parking lot by a suspect in a car. the incident happened earlier today. patrolman willy johnson responded to a call of a man loitering at a parking lot at the hamilton shopping center, as they tried to talk to the suspect, christopher brewer threw the car in reverse and dragged the officers with it. he was arrested and is now facing multiple charges. a fallen trooper will be forever remembered in newcastle county, a memorial sign was unveiled along polanski highway in glasgow. officer willhelm lost his life while swerving to avoid a dog on polanski the warmth to the south well above normal, 91 in memphis and 91 in dallas and flip to the north, you have cool air in chicago and bismark with temperatures in the 50s and 60s. in between the two you usually have a pretty decent battle zone going on this time of year but there is really a weak front across chicago, that comes through late tonight and early tomorrow morning, and then a secondary front behind that and that is what you would call an arctic front for this time of year and that blasts in below normal temperatures across much of the lower 48 by the weekend, future tracker for tomorrow afternoon, 65 much like today and notice the 40s in chicago and by saturday morning, 30s dip into st. louis, and 40s as far south as memphis and atlanta, georgia, so ahead in the accuweather forecast, 60s tomorrow and 50s for highs this weekend and overnight in the weekend, we are looking at a killing freeze and frost likely. alicia will have the dipping numbers coming up in the full overturned dump truck and this white truck as well. traffic is being detoured off on to 28th street, that is getting by but the eastbound lanes of the schuylkill completely closed and have been now for about is a minutes, we are starting to see a huge backup on the eastbound lanes of the schuylkill, really from the blue route now to this point taking you almost an hour. you can see the long line of traffic there, very, very slow going and a serious accidents, you want to start looking for alternates around that point. again, they are allowing vehicles off on 28th street. moving along we'll show you another situation we are dealing without there, this one is on 95, this is 95 northbound just north of the delaware line, we had an accident at curlin street and all lanes are blocked there, a slow delay what normally takes you 10 minute from the delaware state line to the blue route is 35 minutes now. and checking out speeds across the region, the schuylkill expressway the slow go from traffic. two men that brutally beat a gay couple last year spent their final afternoon in center city yesterday. they banned them from the area for at least three years today, all part of a plea agreement today. the other defendant, knott is trying her luck in court. >> reporter: those two men pleaded guilty to their part in the violent attack on the gay couple here in center city, but this case is not over, a third alleged attacker has decided not to take the deal and go to trial instead. >> 24-year-old phillip williams and 26-year-old kevin harrigan entered guilty pleas in court today. >> my client has always been remorseful for his conduct in this case. >> he will be on probation and neither will be allowed in center city during that time and they are required to do 200 hours of community service in an lbgt center. >> they were trying to protect the young lady that was assaulted, that is clear and uncontradicted by the evidence and was never involved in any slurs. >> the victims maintain that gay slurs from someone set off the scuffle from the couple and the large group of friends, the district attorney says it's important to send a message in it case that this behavior would not be tolerated. it was the wishes of the victims that we not have a trial. katherine knott did not take the deal, opting for her case to go to court. >> she did not touch anybody. >> i made it clear to her and her attorneys, if she goes to trial, i will seek jail time. knott expects that his client's trial will go to court in the spring of 2016. eva pilgram, channel 6 "action eventually knocked unconscious, if you recognize this suspect call northwestdetectives. the police department worked to recover 149 children, and 153 alleged pimps were arrested. two victims and two from chopper 6 hd live over the shot, this is the schuylkill expressway eastbound, we have an overturned flat bed truck and debris all over the road and the driver was taken to local area hospital, and the delay here, it spans back for miles and miles and miles. we are talking over an hour delay all the way back to the blue route right now, the road is completely closed, if are you in the traffic there are not many options, some vehicles are getting let off on 28th street, here are some of your options if you have family that typically take that route home, jump off on the eastbound lanes, jump off on the vine street expressway and make your way to 95 and if you typically take the ben franklin bridge, take the walt whitman bridge, these cars are jumping off and making their way to new jersey that way. if you are stuck you have to sit it out, but if you know somebody that may not be to that point, take the vine to the ben, it is your only option right now. taking a look at 95 northbound, here we are north of the delaware state line, an earlier accident just cleared at curlin street and this delay has cleared to only 29 minutes. back to you brian and sharrie. p
