monitoring a sharing program and noticed that child pornography was being downloaded with an ip address located at his home. he is held on $100,000 cash bail and is charged with possessing andributing child pornography. parents had an uneasy feeling about cube. >> the way he looked at kids walking down the street and stuff, a little odd to me. i just kept walking, i was like well i'm here i know he isn't going to try nothing. >> we reached out to school superintendant warren cross but his secretary told us they were advised not to comment. live in magnolia, david henry, channel 6 "action news." details. >> reporter: temple police are urging studentses to utilize measures they have. and are beefing up secure after several incidents in recent weeks including one that happened here near in intersection on campus. here near susquehanna, a temple football player was a victim to a robber, with a gun. they stole his car and phone. at 3:00 a.m., at 15th and montgomery on temple's campus, two men at least one armed robbed a 21-year-old student of his keys wallet and phone. police believe the incidents were unrelated. >> it's shocking and disheartening. >> campus officials want students to utilize escorts and shuttles provided by the university. they beefed up security after an armed sexual assault of a student last week. s shaheed bennett was charged with that crime. >> i feel pretty safe there is security everywhere, i guess it's just bad luck. >> they have video of the one of robberies and are suppose to release it later today. two dover police officers are recovering in the hospital after being dragged across a parking lot by a suspect in a car. the incident happened earlier today. patrolman willy johnson responded to a call of a man loitering at a parking lot at the hamilton shopping center, as they tried to talk to the suspect, christopher brewer threw the car in reverse and dragged the officers with it. he was arrested and is now facing multiple charges. a fallen trooper will be forever remembered in newcastle county, a memorial sign was unveiled along polanski highway in glasgow. officer willhelm lost his life while swerving to avoid a dog on polanski typical for this time of year, we have the sunshine and wind from the west, between 6 and 12 miles per hour. look at the present temperature in philadelphia, we are sitting at 65 degrees and notice the warmth to the south well above normal, 91 in memphis and 91 in dallas and flip to the north, you have cool air in chicago and bismark with temperatures in the 50s and 60s. in between the two you usually have a pretty decent battle zone going on this time of year but there is really a weak front across chicago, that comes through late tonight and early tomorrow morning, and then a secondary front behind that and that is what you would call an arctic front for this time of year and that blasts in below normal temperatures across much of the lower 48 by the weekend, future tracker for tomorrow afternoon, 65 much like today and notice the 40s in chicago and by saturday morning, 30s dip into st. louis, and 40s as far south as memphis and atlanta, georgia, so ahead in the accuweather the schuylkill expressway. >> hi brian and sharrie, on the schuylkill expressway, a serious accident, the eastbound lanes between 28th street and passyunk, the eastbound lanes are closed, this overturned dump truck and this white truck as well. traffic is being detoured off on to 28th street, that is getting by but the eastbound lanes of the schuylkill completely closed and have been now for about is a minutes, we are starting to see a huge backup on the eastbound lanes of the schuylkill, really from the blue route now to this point taking you almost an hour. you can see the long line of traffic there, very, very slow going and a serious accidents, you want to start looking for alternates around that point. again, they are allowing vehicles off on 28th street. moving along we'll show you another situation we are dealing without there, this one is on 95, this is 95 northbound just north of the delaware line, we had an accident at curlin street and all lanes are blocked there, a slow delay what normally takes you 10 minute from the delaware state line to the blue route is 35 minutes now. and checking out speeds across the region, the schuylkill expressway the slow go from traffic. two men that brutally beat a gay couple last year spent their final afternoon in center city yesterday. they banned them from the area for at least three years today, all part of a plea agreement today. the other defendant, knott is trying her luck in court. >> reporter: those two men pleaded guilty to their part in the violent attack on the gay couple here in center city, but this case is not over, a third alleged attacker has decided not to take the deal and go to trial instead. >> 24-year-old phillip williams and 26-year-old kevin harrigan entered guilty pleas in court today. >> my client has always been remorseful for his conduct in this case. >> he will be on probation and neither will be allowed in center city during that time and they are required to do 200 hours of community service in an lbgt center. >> they were trying to protect the young lady that was assaulted, that is clear and uncontradicted by the evidence and was never involved in any slurs. >> the victims maintain that gay slurs from someone set off the scuffle from the couple and the large group of friends, the district attorney says it's important to send a message in it case that this behavior would not be tolerated. it was the wishes of the victims that we not have a trial. katherine knott did not take the deal, opting for her case to go to court. >> she did not touch anybody. >> i made it clear to her and her attorneys, if she goes to trial, i will seek jail time. knott expects that his client's trial will go to court in the spring of 2016. eva pilgram, channel 6 "action eventually knocked unconscious, if you recognize this suspect call northwestdetectives. the police department worked to recover 149 children, and 153 alleged pimps were arrested. two victims and two traffic there are not many options, some vehicles are getting let off on 28th street, here are some of your options if you have family that typically take that route home, jump off on the eastbound lanes, jump off on the vine street expressway and make your way to 95 and if you typically take the ben franklin bridge, take the walt whitman bridge, these cars are jumping off and making their way to new jersey that way. if you are stuck you have to sit it out, but if you know somebody that may not be to that point, take the vine to the ben, it is your only option right now. taking a look at 95 northbound, here we are north of the delaware state line, an earlier accident just cleared at curlin street and this delay has cleared to only 29 minutes. back to you brian and sharrie. p "action news" delaware valley's leading news program. with jaime apody, meteorologist, cecily tynan, rick williams and monica malpass. a 21-year-old man is charged in the murder of a delaware psychiatrist. dr. caroline was found yesterday inside of her home. the suspect was planning his attack for years. it's thursday night and the big story is the new details of a deadly stabbing in hockessin, the suspect was obsessed with his victim and she had no idea. sara bloomquist is live with more on this investigation. >> reporter: rick and monica, we have learned that the suspect, 21-year-old christopher frick was a senior mathematics major at the university of delaware up until his arrest yesterday, authorities say that three years ago frick became obsesses with dr. caroline ekong, and she had no idea and then he showed up at her home intent on killing her. >> christopher frick is held without bail on a first degree murder charge, they had a professional interaction three years ago with dr. ekong of hockessin and then broke into her home yesterday morning and stabbed her to death. >> this is a very, very tragic case where one was obsessed with another individual. >> police will not confirm if frick was ever a patient but three years ago something happened and

crossing guard and now he is in jail, police went in with a search warrant at 6:00 this morning and investigators say they found several computer hard drives loaded with child pornography. police were monitoring a sharing program and noticed that child pornography was being downloaded with an ip address located at his home. he is held on $100,000 cash bail and is charged with possessing andributing child pornography. parents had an uneasy feeling about cube. >> the way he looked at kids walking down the street and stuff, a little odd to me. i just kept walking, i was like well i'm here i know he isn't going to try nothing. >> we reached out to school superintendant warren cross but his secretary told us they were advised not to comment. live in magnolia, david henry, channel 6 "action news." >> all right david thanks very much. police are looking for the suspects that robbed two tam pel students this morning. >> some students are now on edge, annie mccormick is live on campus with the details. >> reporter: temple police are urging studentses to utilize measures they have. and are beefing up secure after several incidents in recent weeks including one that happened here near in intersection on campus. here near susquehanna, a temple football player was a victim to a robber, with a gun. they stole his car and phone. at 3:00 a.m., at 15th and montgomery on temple's campus, two men at least one armed robbed a 21-year-old student of his keys wallet and phone. police believe the incidents were unrelated. >> it's shocking and disheartening. >> campus officials want students to utilize escorts and shuttles provided by the university. they beefed up security after an armed sexual assault of a student last week. s shaheed bennett was charged with that crime. >> i feel pretty safe there is security everywhere, i guess it's just bad luck. >> they have video of the one of robberies and are suppose to release it later today. two dover police officers are recovering in the hospital after being dragged across a parking lot by a suspect in a car. the incident happened earlier today. patrolman willy johnson responded to a call of a man loitering at a parking lot at the hamilton shopping center, as they tried to talk to the suspect, christopher brewer threw the car in reverse and dragged the officers with it. he was arrested and is now facing multiple charges. a fallen trooper will be forever remembered in newcastle county, a memorial sign was unveiled along polanski highway in glasgow. officer willhelm lost his life while swerving to avoid a dog on polanski highway. family and friends were there to honor his life and service. now it's time for a check of the accuweather forecast. meteorologist, adam joseph, standing by now with what comes next. >> typical for this time of year, we have the sunshine and wind from the west, between 6 and 12 miles per hour. look at the present temperature in philadelphia, we are sitting at 65 degrees and notice the warmth to the south well above normal, 91 in memphis and 91 in dallas and flip to the north, you have cool air in chicago and bismark with temperatures in the 50s and 60s. in between the two you usually have a pretty decent battle zone going on this time of year but there is really a weak front across chicago, that comes through late tonight and early tomorrow morning, and then a secondary front behind that and that is what you would call an arctic front for this time of year and that blasts in below normal temperatures across much of the lower 48 by the weekend, future tracker for tomorrow afternoon, 65 much like today and notice the 40s in chicago and by saturday morning, 30s dip into st. louis, and 40s as far south as memphis and atlanta, georgia, so ahead in the accuweather forecast, 60s tomorrow and 50s for highs this weekend and overnight in the weekend, we are looking at a killing freeze and frost likely. alicia will have the dipping numbers coming up in the full the schuylkill expressway. >> hi brian and sharrie, on the schuylkill expressway, a serious accident, the eastbound lanes between 28th street and passyunk, the eastbound lanes are closed, this overturned dump truck and this white truck as well. traffic is being detoured off on to 28th street, that is getting by but the eastbound lanes of the schuylkill completely closed and have been now for about is a minutes, we are starting to see a huge backup on the eastbound lanes of the schuylkill, really from the blue route now to this point taking you almost an hour. you can see the long line of traffic there, very, very slow going and a serious accidents, you want to start looking for alternates around that point. again, they are allowing vehicles off on 28th street. moving along we'll show you another situation we are dealing without there, this one is on 95, this is 95 northbound just north of the delaware line, we had an accident at curlin street and all lanes are blocked there, a slow delay what normally takes you 10 minute from the delaware state line to the blue route is 35 minutes now. and checking out speeds across the region, the schuylkill expressway the slow go from the blue route all the way to the point at university city, we'll keep an eye on things and bring you an update in the next half hour. >> okay autumn thank you. still ahead on "action news" at 4:00, a new jersey town teams up with uber, how a program is aiming to keep drunk drivers off the road and the democratic national convention just nine months away but the city says this one will be good for philadelphia, 55 in cape may, and lehigh valley, and the poconos, you could see a scattered shower, late tonight and early tomorrow morning at 5:30, showing that over the poconos and the rest of the region south of philadelphia, away from the front, it could be sunny first thing tomorrow morning, 55 in millville and 53 in philadelphia, the front passes through and sunshine takes control much like today with a few clouds in the afternoon, 64 in philadelphia and 62 in allentown and this is 3:00 and mid-60s south of the city and the second cold front comes through early in the weekend and saturday afternoon, high temperatures only in the 50s, only with sunshine and a few clouds and in the poconos 44 degrees, and at the same time with the chilly air coming in and with the wind to contend with on top of it, saturday afternoon we are looking at wind speeds 20 to 25 miles per hour. and these are gusts in the afternoon and that will add to the chill with highs only in the 50s. your four day at 4:00 forecast, sun and clouds and 67, lets say warm degrees, saturday windy and chilly and clouds bubble up in the afternoon and a high of 57 and sunday brisk, cold and cloudy and the northern suburbs not getting out of the 40s for highs, and 51 for the city and frost saturday night and sunday morning but a more widespread killing frost monday morning and 20s likely in the suburbs a new proposal to change pennsylvania's gun laws, victims of gun violence stood with legislators as they introduced the bill, it would stop gun buyers from buying long guns without a background check, traffic. two men that brutally beat a gay couple last year spent their final afternoon in center city yesterday. they banned them from the area for at least three years today, all part of a plea agreement today. the other defendant, knott is trying her luck in court. >> reporter: those two men pleaded guilty to their part in the violent attack on the gay couple here in center city, but this case is not over, a third alleged attacker has decided not to take the deal and go to trial instead. >> 24-year-old phillip williams and 26-year-old kevin harrigan entered guilty pleas in court today. >> my client has always been remorseful for his conduct in this case. >> he will be on probation and neither will be allowed in center city during that time and they are required to do 200 hours of community service in an lbgt center. >> they were trying to protect the young lady that was assaulted, that is clear and uncontradicted by the evidence and was never involved in any slurs. >> the victims maintain that gay slurs from someone set off the scuffle from the couple and the large group of friends, the district attorney says it's important to send a message in it case that this behavior would not be tolerated. it was the wishes of the victims that we not have a trial. katherine knott did not take the deal, opting for her case to go to court. >> she did not touch anybody. >> i made it clear to her and her attorneys, if she goes to trial, i will seek jail time. knott expects that his client's trial will go to court in the spring of 2016. eva pilgram, channel 6 "action caught the suspect reaching into the victim's pocket and when the 65-year-old man confronted him he pushed him and started purging him and the victim tried to fight back and was overpowered and eventually knocked unconscious, if you recognize this suspect call northwestdetectives. the police department worked to recover 149 children, and 153 alleged pimps were arrested. two victims and two suspects were from the philadelphia area. this is the ninth year for the operation that targets hotel and casinos and other areas known to be frequented by sex traffickers. >> the company with a long from chopper 6 hd live over the shot, this is the schuylkill expressway eastbound, we have an overturned flat bed truck and debris all over the road and the driver was taken to local area hospital, and the delay here, it spans back for miles and miles and miles. we are talking over an hour delay all the way back to the blue route right now, the road is completely closed, if are you in the traffic there are not many options, some vehicles are getting let off on 28th street, here are some of your options if you have family that typically take that route home, jump off on the eastbound lanes, jump off on the vine street expressway and make your way to 95 and if you typically take the ben franklin bridge, take the walt whitman bridge, these cars are jumping off and making their way to new jersey that way. if you are stuck you have to sit it out, but if you know somebody that may not be to that point, take the vine to the ben, it is your only option right now. taking a look at 95 northbound, here we are north of the delaware state line, an earlier accident just cleared at curlin street and this delay has cleared to only 29 minutes. back to you brian and sharrie. p windy on top of that on saturday, and early on sunday morning, freezing in allentown and 30 in reading and 30 in millville with a frost likely across much of the area sun morning, take a look at lunch time, only upper 40s with a lot of clouds and some areas trying to hit 50 sunday afternoon and then sunday night into monday morning, that is when a killing freeze is likely, for 95% of the area, the exception is the major metropolitan areas along 95 and the shore communities and the rest of us the growing season looks to come to an end at the end of the weekend, if you have tender vegetation, and want to hold out longer, bring them in and cover them up on saturday night and sunday night. the exclusive accuweather forecast sun and clouds and tomorrow 67 degrees and windy and chilly saturday and 57 with a decent amount of clouds at times. and the clouds take over on sunday, cold and 51 in philadelphia, and 40s for highs in the suburbs and monday into tuesday, a nice rebound, eventually coming
