knife. today marks exactly one year since a man raped and killed a 66-year-old woman in dubuque. and at seven o clock tonight, family and friends will be gathering to remember the victim, nancy krapfl . police say krapfl was out for a morning walk last september when helmon betwell beat her and raped her. he was 19 at the time. after his arrest, police say betwell told them he attacked the woman because had nothing better charges of first degree murder, first degree sexual abuse, and burglary. he and krapfl did not know each other. a judge ruled earlier this year that betwell is not mentally competent to stand trial right now. he s still in police custody as he awaits a hearing on his mental state. we want to remind you that whenever you see news happening, we encourage you to call us on newsline nine. that number is 319-365-9999. johnson county will soon go from one lane to none. structural issues on the highway 965 bridge forced it down to a single lane. on tuesday, it will

with the details on this one. reporter: 80-year-old rudy cube was not at his post here as a crossing guard this afternoon, because he is behind bars unable to make $100,000 cash bond. i m in a state of shock, i didn t think somebody of his caliber would do something like that. rudy cube is a member of the magnolia school board and works part-time outside of the magnolia school as a crossing guard and now he is in jail, police went in with a search warrant at 6:00 this morning and investigators say they found several computer hard drives loaded with child pornography. police were monitoring a sharing program and noticed that child pornography was being downloaded with an ip address located at his home. he is held on $100,000 cash bail and is charged with possessing andributing child pornography. parents had an uneasy feeling about cube. the way he looked at kids walking down the street and stuff, a little odd to me. i just kept walking, i was like well i m here i kno
