i saw some of the moon trying to breakthroughs some clouds but obviously on satellite there are some in the very least high clouds and we're looking at clouds mixing with sun probably starting out a little on the cloudier side. also a bit of a shower through dell square and cape may county may get caught with a little bit of that this morning o31 in wilmington, just 30 degrees below freezing in trenton and the 29 in millville. and the winds not that strong this morning. so that's good but it is obviously cold enough for the coat on a little extra gear. 33 degrees by 7 o'clock. 45 by noon and we are going to zoom a little bit today. we'll very likely get up to a high of 50 and that will happen probably around 2 o'clock but you can see how the numbers then begin to fall. 38 degrees by 7 o'clock and tomorrow does look like a windy and colder day. i'll have that story and an even better extended forecast coming up starting for the weekend. karen rogers, that's all ahead from accuweather. >> sounds good, dave see. let's hit the roads right now and see how this wednesday morning is treating us. we're live on i-95 at academy. overnight construction is clear and we could see all lanes opened. looking pretty good. that's southbound traffic headed towards center city and switching over your camera view this is the vine street expressway here approaching the schuylkill. we had a.m. westbound roving work crew out here working. they just cleared. all lanes opened and we haven't had construction shutting down the vine and the ramps overnight as of late but we will tonight and tomorrow night. they'll be out here shutting down the vine street expressway for the overnight hours tonight and tomorrow night, warn you about that one. let's head top bucks county in riegelsville a downed tree causing a problem on 611. easton road northbound blocked near durham road. if you're in this area stick to river road as your alternate. also downed wires with that. downed pole on the on white horse pike at pom moan nam road but traffic gets by here, tam. >> thank you, karen. developing overnight, people ran for cover when a gunman opened fire outside of an adult nightclub in the city's port richmond section. "action news" reporter annie mccormick is live for us now at east detectives. she's got more on the investigation. good morning, annie. >> reporter: good morning, tamala. and plenty of people were there to witness the shooting but police say that the witnesses are telling them it looked like there were two to three targets of the shooting but at this point those two to three people have not come forward to police. they've checked hospitals and they've also been looking around the area for anybody that may have been hit by gunfire. take a look at this video from the scene. this all happened just after 11:15 at the penthouse club in the 3,000 block out of caster. witnesses say a gunman got out of a vehicle, opened fire. all around the club police found strike marks from bullets and also shell casings. witnesses insider club tell "action news" they hid for about 30 minutes fearing that they would get hurt. here's what witnesses told police. >> there was two or three people. after getting shot at ran back into the club and they ended up getting in a vehicle and leaving this location and they never at this time reported the incident to the police. but the witnesses told us that the shots were fired at these two to three individuals. >> reporter: and police didn't find any blood at the scene. they have checked with area hospitals. they also say that witnesses told them that that suspect, the gunman, was last seen running down the 3,000 block of castor avenue. if you have any information you're under to contact police. the tip line 215-686-tips. reporting live outside east detectives in juniata park annie mccormick channel6 "action news." back to you isn't that police in delaware offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to a kidnaptory. the victim says a man with a gun forced her into the back of her car at the top of the hill apartments in wilmington monday night and then made her drive to an atm and take out cash before dropping her back at her apartment. the victim was not seriously hurt. we'll have much more on this story in a full report coming up at 5:00 a.m. a pedestrian is recovering from a hit-and-run in philadelphia's germantown section. you will see a camera capturing the red chrysler running a red light at germantown armat and slaming into a 51-year-old woman crossing at the intersection. she is in stable condition. police arrested the driver and they say the reason she was speeding through the red was because she was fleeing from another car accident she caused just blocks away. >> there has been an exodus of corrections officers out of the deadly prison after the deadly hostage siege earlier this month p the delaware governor has called for an independent review of the two day uprising at the james t. vaughn correctional center in spinach. it claimed the life of corrections officer steven flow. as many as 17 officers have quit or retired in the wake of the february 1st uprising. the president of the delaware corrections officers association worries that the probe will go no where. >> my biggest concern is that we have another panel, we have another investigation and they put together another thick book and nothing comes of it. that is every correction coastal storm officers nightmare. >> the governor says the preliminary findings are due by june 1st. he expects a final report by august 15. >> septa police released body cam footage of a strange kissing assault. >> give me a kiss. let me give you a kiss. >> happened to a female septa transit officer at the 69th street terminal in police chief says the aggressive affection was not only illegal but also disrespectful and demeaning to a woman trying to do her job. the officer was able to handcuff the suspect after she says he russia and the growing concerns about the ties and the interactions between his administration and soviet leaders. abc's stephanie ramos has more from d.c. >> reporter: details are still emerging from the resignation of president trump's national security adviser general michael flynn. >> the evolving and eroding level of trust as a result of this situation and a series of other questionable instances is what led the president to ask for general flynn's resignation. >> reporter: we've now learned president trump knew about flynn's conversations with the russian ambassador to the u.s. for nearly three weeks. and also knew that flynn deceived the vice president is that the public about those calls. >> those conversations that happened to occur around the time that the united states took action to expel diplomats had nothing whatsoever to do with those sanctions. >> reporter: but they did. intelligence agents had been listening in on the ambassador's calls and discovered that sanctions were discussed. the justice department told the white house that flynn wasn't telling the truth and believed russia could blackmail flynn by threatening to expose his lies. >> the first part of it was clearly to understand the legal aspect of this. >> reporter: it wasn't until friday that flynn changed his story and apologized to the vice president for misleading him. on air force one that night, the president was asked about it. >> i don't know about the. i haven't seen it. what report is that? >> reporter: by monday night, flynn's resignation letter was received. on capitol hill, some senate republicans are showing concern. >> obviously there's a administration that is in significant disarray as far as national security is concerned. >> reporter: and it wasn't just general flynn talking with russian officials. sources tell abc news u.s. authorities were concerned about contact between trump associates and several suspected russian intelligence officials. in washington, stephanie ramos channel6 "action news." >> a russian spy ship is that making its way north along the east coast in international waters and it was just 70 miles off the coast of delaware yesterday morning. u.s. officials say they are not concerned with the presence of the victor leoniv. they suspect it's head off a u.s. submarine base at new london connecticut. russian monitoring of u.s. sub bases used to happen frequently during the cold war and then became less common afterwards. >> new this morning, new york health officials are taking a look at a deadly infection that they trace back changes ahead. that's all coming up. >> ♪ >> a powerful line of storms swept through texas yesterday spawning at least six tornadoes. six people were injured and about a half dozen homes were damaged about 70 miles southwest of houston. more than 3-inches of rain and even some snow fellly in other parts of texas resulting in slick roads and delays in school openings. >> another chilly morning out there, david, but i know i'm holding on for these warm temps you say are coming. >> no kidding. now at this time looks like that warm shot we're going get is going to extend even farther so a nice stretch of weather coming but for now we are chilly and down south there are a couple of showers. these are just skirting areas like cape may and milford, delaware, llewes getting some of these light to moderate showers and you can see how they are pushing a little bit to the north. it doesn't look like they're going to go too much higher than where they are right now and they should taper off after about 9 o'clock or so. we keep our eyes on that this morning. as we take a look outside, we do have clouds with perhaps some breaks on the way over center city and elsewhere. there's the clothes pin and center city looking a little on the quiet side. anybody who is walking around probably is dressed fairly warmly. your temperature on the way out the door in the city is 34 degrees. and we have the 20's in a lot of suburbs s winds running very light out of the south at 3 miles per hour. got a couple of spots just reporting calm winds for now. and there again is that rain on future tracker6. it looks like between now and about 9 o'clock or 10 o'clock it's pushing off the coast and by noon we might even see the clouds thinning out a little bit from about philadelphia up to the north and later in the afternoon there's the chance of even more sunshine building in for the tail end of the days, maybe a little snow shower popping through the lehigh valley. 34 degrees is your temperature at 8 o'clock. 39 by 10 o'clock and then by noon we're well into the 40's at 45 and we're looking at a high of 50 today probably around 2 o'clock. after that temperatures will tumble pretty quickly. down to 48 by 3 o'clock and back to 38 by 6 o'clock and it gets breezier during the afternoon as well. high temperatures across the wide region, 46 degrees in allentown, 47 in reading, it's 46 degrees in trenton, 50 in philadelphia and down in wilmington, and the upper 40's down the shore. these temperatures are a bit mild for this time of year but obviously you'll still want a coat heading around the region. 39 degrees then tomorrow. big change after a front comes through. it will be cooler. we'll have wind chills in the 20's. those gusts could go 35 to 40 miles per hour but this is not a long lived pattern. it's only one day that we've got to deal with that chilldown and then things start to come back. your exclusive accuweather 7-day a high around 50 early in the afternoon with temperatures tumbling later on. forget about that 50 by the time you head out after work today. it will be getting cooler and breezier. tomorrow a high of 39, wind chills in the 20's tomorrow more much of the day. breezy and chilly on friday, but a better high of 43. the good stuff comes in for the weekend. saturday will become milder in the afternoon with a high up to 57. we're now going 64 on sunday an absolutely gorgeous day, and then yesterday we talked about how president's day was looking nice under the sun, the high of 58. it now looks as though tuesday will likely also get into the sick because of a bacterial infection linked to rat urine in new york city. two patients were diagnosed in december and one in february with something called lept tow spore rows sis. all three people lived along the same block in the bronx. city officials have taken steps to reduce the rat population in the area but they're also working to educate residents about this illness. >> it's scary and now you have to be more cautious about when you walking in and out of the building because i heard it was in the basement. so i don't -- i'm scared to go to the basement any ways. >> the bacterial infection is most commonly spread by some sort of contact with the rat urine. and it's usually treatable with antibiotics. >> fire at a new jersey marina damaged more than a dozen docked boats. crews from several nearby towns joined firefighters in belmar monmouth county. they tried to knock counts flames yesterday. took more than 40 minutes to get the blaze under control. officials are still trying to determine what sparked the fire but it did not spread to any nearby buildings. a texas police officer took quick action when he arrived at a fast food drive through where a truck had caught fire. this is dashcam video taken at the dallas area jack in the box on saturday. officer chris womack used his own patrol vehicle to push the fully engulfed truck away from the restaurant. police officials say the officer's quick thinking saved the employees inside. no one was hurt. >> new on "action news" some young ballerinas were joined by some very special dance partners. this is video
