here right now. first we turn to dave murphy and matt pelman. good morning. >> all right, guys, it is a good morning across the region. right now we've got lingering cloud cover from that system down to their south. unlike yesterday it doesn't look like most of the region will see any rain from that. nonetheless more clouds at the shore a little more sun the far north you go from philadelphia today. a little bit of fog this morning, not as widespread as yesterday. looks like the most of it is over towards the east of philadelphia. visibility is still okay in toms river but i would be careful of fog around here. every now and then you could see he some of that patchy stuff here or there. 70 degrees right now if philadelphia, 63 he in allentown, 70 millville, 72 in cape may n reading an interesting location for us this morning. we'll tell you why in a little bit. 65 degrees out near reading in berks county and your dewpoints are still a little bit high. not humid out in the northern and western suburbs but still a little bit sticky down south. those humidity levels might drop a little bit later in the day. if you're headed out today, 68 degrees by 7 o'clock. a pretty good morning for a run. hydrate ahead of time because of that humidity that's still lingering. 74 by 10 o'clock and then it's off to the races again this afternoon. 81 by noon. 86 by 3 o'clock. 82 by 6 o'clock tonight. and that high is 86 at 3 o'clock. looks like it's another warm one tomorrow and then things start to really cool down as we head through the weekend. matt pelman, i'll have details i-95 right by 420 and just like yesterday morning there's northbound construction here between ridley park and this point at 420. the good news is this morning it appears to just be the right lane that's blocked instead of the two right lanes. still yesterday morning before this cleared it did cause some big delays headed up toward the airport. if you're headed for a flight this morning you might want to bail at 420 or back at ridley park and then run 291 up to philadelphia international airport. in center city vine street expressway remains closed in both directions for overnight construction. crews out there moving around but at this point no traffic is getting by. there's a crash to watch out for early this morning in plymouth township along sandy hill road at plymouth road and in upper merion water main work going on overnight lasting until 6:00 this morning. north gulph road shut down for a short stretch. i would just stay over on allen dial get around that work again until 6:00 on this wednesday morning. tam. >> okay, thank you, matt. breaking news this morning. it was a violent night in charlotte north carolina. protestors took to the streets after the deadly shooting a black man by police who say this man may have well have been armed. angry people blocked highways lit fires and looted. more than a dozen people were hurt in these skirmishes. annie mccormick has been following the developments in this story and she's joining us live from the satellite center with the latest on what we know. good morning, annie. >> reporter: good morning, tam l the protest went through the night following tuesday's police-involved shooting that killed 43-year-old death scott. now police say he had a gun but his family doesn't believe he was holding a weapon at the time of the shooting. this was the scene in charlotte north carolina last night. from above you can see as protestors attacked marked police vehicles. police used tear gas to try and get the crowd under control. 12 officers were injured including one hit in the face with a rock. that violent scene stemmed from the deadly police shooting that happened here at this charlotte apartment complex earlier in the day. police say it was there as officers went to look for a suspect with an outstanding warrant. instead they saw 43-year-old keith lamont scott. police say he he had nothing to do with the warrant. according to officers accounts, scott got out of a vehicle with a gun, then got back in. when officers approached he allegedly got out of the car with the gun again. >> one of the officers felt a lethal threat and fired his weapon because of that. >> reporter: scott died at the hospital. police say they recovered a gun at the scene. his family is now disputing that. >> it wasn't no gun. it was a book. >> they said hands up. he got a gun, he got a gun. pau,... pow, pow, pow. >> reporter: the protests happened nearly at the same time as protests in tulsa oklahoma. it was there that according to police it was an unarmed black plan that was shot. for now reporting live from the sat center annie mccormick channel6 "action news." back to you, tam. >> annie thank you for that. now from our delaware news room a man was shot several times when gunfire rang out in wilmington last night. police were called to the scene of that shooting on the 200 block of east 14th street at 10 o'clock. the victim was rushed to christiana hospital in serious condition. so far there have been no arrests in the shooting. >> we have new information on the terror bombings that rocked new york and new jersey over the weekends. the suspect ahmad rahami now faces additional counts including a weapons of mass destruction charge. abc's maggie luolly -- rulli has the latest from new york. officials that be warned about rahami years ago and he had had been planning and plotting saturday's attacks for months. in this video we see what authorities believe is rahami about to plant bombs in his suitcase and backpack. that pressure cooker bomb he allegedly set off in new york, powerful enough to shatter windows about 400 feet away and propel a nearby dumpster 120 feet injuring 31 people. the criminal complaint also revealing a journal found in rahami's pocket following his shootout with police. in it anti-american rants and praise for the late radical islamic cleric anwar al awaki. >> what did you tell them. >> reporter: he later took back those comments and the fbi never questioned his son. the father's accusation came after his son's year long trip to pakistan now a key part of the investigation. while overseas rahami married and had two children. the fbi is now questioning his wife. ly. >> people trying get a picture of him through her. >> reporter: authorities are also pouring over rahami's social media accounts trying to learn more and while they say they aren't actively looking for another suspect they're not ruling one out, either. maggie rulli, abc news, new "action news" has said a member of the k-9 unit brought the prostitute to the headquarters on state street and tried to shield her from cameras but she was seen on surveillance inside the building. >> the fact of the matter is i will not tolerate any activities conduct conducted in my office that my officers are involved in that is going to reflect pooing on this city or on this police department. >> other officers were allegedly aware of the prostitute's presence. no word on whether the officers involved are still on duty. >> a hit-and-run in northeast philadelphia may have started with a robbery. a man was found with serious head wounds in the wells fargo parking lot at bustleton and bleigh avenues early yesterday morning. he was once thought to simply be the victim of the hit-and-run. now police believe he used a knife to rob another man and his family while they were using a nearby atm. the driver told police he struck the robber and took off. police say the robbery suspect will survive and may be behind at least one other armed robbery. >> it's 4:38 and we all know the pain of escalating. now a government agency says it's going to pick up and move because of the skyrocketing cost. >> plus a high speed chase comes to a smashing end with a driver rams into a police patrol car. david. >> warm out there today so shorts and t's on the kids and we'll have more on now shows us that the skies are not only partly cloudy but also dry of course radar showing you that that rain from yesterday no longer an issue. as we take a look outside we have sky6 down the shore. there had been some indications of some fog around the region including areas east of philadelphia but doesn't look like it's a big problem in atlantic city currently. your temperature right now is 70 degrees. and our dewpoints still noticeably humid, 68 degrees, that's an indication of that higher humidity but we do expect that to fall off as we go through the day. winds right now have generally been dropping out of the north. currently though they are calm not only here in philadelphia but across much of the region so a tranquil morning as you step outside. we still unfortunately have that area of low pressure rotating down to our south and that is shoot something clouds into the region. it does look like today is going to be a clouds and sun mix with more sun the farther north you go and more clouds the farther south you move through the region. it will be warm, too. 74 degrees as soon as 10 o'clock. then by noon into the 80's and by 3 o'clock 86 degrees. again we expected that humidity to drop off a bit during the day but it's still going to be pretty warm and warm enough for cool drinks. and that's the story just about everywhere. allentown's high this afternoon 85. 86 in reading. 84 in trenton. 85 later today in wilmington. 82 in millville and down the shore it looks like 76 in cape may with some spots farther up the coast perhaps going into the upper 70's. for the phillies tonight a pleasant night for baseball and they had a good one last night. partly cloudy, nice, 79 degrees for the first pitch and in the ninth inning 73 degrees. probably not much need for a jacket. maybe p you have an extra layer you throw on later in there game just in case you don't like that dropping temperature but it's really not bad. then tomorrow mostly sunny. fall will arrive tomorrow morning at 10:21. but a high of 86 in the afternoon so sandwiched between a couple of areas of high pressure we're expecting a good deal of sunshine tomorrow and still feeling like summer in the afternoon. a couple tropical storms out there. karl we he have been talking about quite a bit. lisa formed yesterday afternoon. this one actually late in the morning. this one is probably just going to go up into the central atlantic and die away as a tropical depression not really much of an issue but tropical storm karl still looks like it's taking in more or less on bermuda as we expect that storm to stay to the east of the island, but at the same time close enough to probably put quite a bit of wind and rain. it is kind of flies that -- nice that it's going to the east though. your seven-day forecast, 86 is today's high, clouds and sun and warm. sunny and warm tomorrow, 86 and then up to 88 on friday. there is a front coming through a little faster looks like it could trigger a shower friday night and that means it's dry for saturday. and also breezy and cooler. 76 degrees. great weather for temple homecoming. sunny and breezy on sunday, great weather for the eagles and rammed a utah highway patrol car. it happened during a lie speed pursuit on monday. police say the suspect pulled out a knife and approached the trooper before that jumping back into his pickup truck and speeding off. the driver rammed the patrol car a second time at a truck stop and then raced away again. he was caught nearby. the trooper was not injured. military investigators are looking into whether a pilot's emergency chute properly deployed after a spy plane crashed into the northern california mountains. the air force u2 dragon lady crashed just after takeoff yesterday. one pilot was killed and a second was injured after ejecting from the plane. the pilots were on a training mission at the time. >> happening today, gasolene expect to begin flowing again now that a fix is in place for a spill. a 500-foot bypass will carry gasoline around the broken portion of the pipeline. a mine inspector reported the spill of 336,000 gallons of gas on center ninth. that has caused prices at the pump to suddenly spike from alabama all the way up to new jersey. prices should ease now that the repairs are in place. the u.s. geological survey says the rent is too darn high. the agency is currently paying $7.5 million a year for its space at the menlo park campus in california and fears that it could go much higher when the 10 year lease ends next year. survey has been at the same location for 62 years. the u.s. gs plans to move to the nasa aims research center just down the road and use the savings to invest in early. quake warning systems. >> new this morning a georgia man wants to take nascar to court he says for racial discrimination. he filed the $500 million lawsuit on monday. the ceo of diversity motorsports says nascar refused to work him and tried to prevent the number of african-americans working in the sport. nascar defended its statement defending its drive for diversity program and says it intends to fight this lawsuit. >> 4:47 and if you want a on this wednesday. downtown in center city westbound side of the vine has reopened. eastbound is in the process of reopening. still have the eastbound schuylkill ramp to the eastbound vine blocked for just a little bit longer. and there's a crash early this morning by plymouth country club blocking off plymouth road near belvoir road. stick with sandy hill or germantown pike as alternates. construction on the pennsylvania turnpike westbound side in chester county between downingtown and morgantown. right lane is out of commission on this wednesday morning. tam. >> all right, thank you, matt. talking now about business. the federal reserve is expected to keep interest rates at a near record low amid weak economic reports. the next rate hike we probably won't be talking about that before december. we'll have to wait to see what impact it's going have on wall street. yesterday all the indices were higher and all stock futures are higher right now. i don't evers seas trading is up after japan's central bank decided to keep their short term rates unchanged. samsung is saying new galaxy note7 phones will be in stores today. company is replacing about a million devices recalled after dozens caught fire or exploded. not good timing for them. this phone just went on sale last month. if you're using premium gas to fill up you might be burning money. triple says premium doesn't increase horsepower or fuel economy nor does it clean the engine any better than just using regular gas. the agency says within the last year alone 16 million americans including me wasted more than
