Thunderstorm watches, getting close to the area. And the immediate advent or front line of the thunderstorms, you see the orange developing, that is thunderstorm warnings. A lot of concern to the west and southwest. The question is how far north can the severe activity make it and there is the opportunity for that as can you see the watch boxes pushing up into pennsylvania at this point. That looks like a good line of thunderstorms there beginning to develop. So far the severe thunderstorm watch is posted in lancaster and points west and we are keeping our eyes on this, and should the thunderstorms get closer well wind out seeing the watches extended to the east and that depends how things develop to the west and the Storm Prediction Center started to up the ante and we had thunderstorms across the region this morning and now an enhanced area is pulled west of lancaster and down through south jersey and delaware and what this all means is that if we get a thunderstorm this afternoon or evening it could kick up strong damaging wind gusts and hail and frequent lightning and better chance of that from philadelphia south but if im in the yellow area im keeping my eye to the west. Ill track it again on stormtracker 6 live double scan and go over the possible affects of these storms and a word to the wise if you see downed wires later today. Thank you. Its looking like it could get stormy for some of us later, stormtracker 6 live double scan shows us that most of the region is dry. We had some shower and thunderstorm activity earlier and now the showers out to the north and west of the area, and most of them on the other side of the susquehanna riff are showing up on yellows and reds and you would not be surprised to see lightning developing north and west. And we have time to go out and get stuff done, taking a look outside we have sky 6 at the shore and cloudy cape may. I am looking at the radar and you look at those there is sun breaking out in spots, and maybe some in cape may, and mortgage sun you see the better chance have you of setting the table for a thunderstorm by chopping up the atmosphere a bit and temperatures are up to 70 degrees and winds from the southwest continuing to pick up. 21 Miles Per Hour now and that is an indication again that the face of that front is getting closer to us. And we get an increased flow from the southwest from the warm air, in terms of rain future tracker 6 shows us we are probably okay from 2 00, 2 30, this is the 2 30 model. We are looking at the potential of a squall line coming through a fairly narrow line of precipitation and that could include strong wind gusts and perhaps thunderstorms. By 3 30 or maybe 4 00 we look at it coming down the i95 corridor and there are breaks where you might not get hit hard. And at 4 30 the stuff gets to the coast and we still have coastal storms. By 6 00 most of the model runs are back to tranquil conditions and tonight a passing shower. What to expect from these when and where they hit frequent lightning and wind gusts and possible hail. 60 minute danger or 70 minutes. You have lightning jumping out ahead of the storm and strong gusty winds and then you get 20 or 30 minutes of rain and stay in after the rain is over for the threat of jump back lightning behind the line. The point is you dont have to get out there and get your stuff done just give it an hour and let it pass through. Worries that wires may drop and they could look dead, and i want to remind you tell your kids today and every day when you see dead wires they can recharge, and stay away from that and call the police or power company.
