Reporter investigators spent much of the day here at the hamill Mill Apartments looking for clues to catch this arsonist. Residents are worried and some are moving out. The string of arsons had firefighters inspecting the hamill Mill Apartments developing an evacuation plan at the building that houses the elderly and disabled. Its the third or fourth time and it doesnt make any sense. Lee is among the 50 or so residents on edge and worried about their safety. The first suspected arson happened in april and since then four more two in the lobby and two in the elevator. It makes me feel nerve yours and scared. They had to evacuate the building and getting the elderly and disabled out is not easy. I was in a wheelchair, i had to basically crawl down the steps to come out to safety. Last night at 10 45 we got a bang on the door fire fire. I had to jump out of bed put my cloernlgs on and walk down the steps. Philadelphia police have launched an arson investigation and they hope to catch the arson before someone is seriously injured. This needs to stop. The Montgomery County courthouse is lit in orange in honor of National Gun Violence awareness day. County officials teamed up with cease fire philadelphia today to end gun violence. And say its not politic orz policies but raising awareness. We can all agree that gun violence is something that we should be joined together to try and reduce and eliminate here in the commonwealth of pennsylvania and indeed across the United States of america. National Gun Violence Awareness Day is also known as wear orange day, inspired by a group of teenagers in chicago that asked their classmates to wear orange in honor of a murdered friend. A man that shot and killed a professor at ucla and turned the gun on himself had a socalled kill list that led them to another body. He kill his professor before killing himself yesterday. They searched his home and found the names of another professor and a woman. That woman was found shot to death in her home. The other professor was not injured. Now they are looking into what his motive might have been. A man accuse sd of shooting and wounding two Police Officers in california is found dead inside of his burning home. His body was found after a standoff. It started yesterday afternoon in the town of fremont, the officers were shot during a traffic stop and that prompted a house to house search for the suspect. The suspect barricaded himself inside a vacant home and shot the locks off the door. They tried to force the man out with tear gas and it caught fire. Officials now confirm what many fears, prince died of an overdose of an opioid. The powerful drug fentanyl, more powerful than heroin. Reporter all of that speculation that his death was caused by an overdose and the autopsy report listing it as accidental. Princes death no longer a mystery. They released finding that the star died of an accidental opioid overdose. Fentanyl, similar to morphine but stronger. The music icon was found dead in his paisley park home outside of minneapolis in april. The stars friends noted at the time that he battled pain for years. He had issues with his hips, if you look back in the days of purple rain when he was on top of ricers and jumping down off risers in those heels, it damaged parts of his body. Days after his death princes long time attorney disputed suggestions that he had a drug addiction but there were indications that he may have struggled with opioid abuse. The day before he died. They contacted an opioid addiction specialist. He and his team knew he was struggling and needed help. Its tragic that help got there too little too late. People take a prescribed medication for pain and then they get hooked and some move on to stronger opioids, and fentanyl is one of the strongest and can be dangerous. They say there is misconceptions about addiction, some think it doesnt happen to people with well off or a career, but the truth is anyone can become addicted to pain killers. There say misconception about treatments, and after a 28 day program addicted are cured and the doctor says they are just in remission, it requires lifelong street and followup. In other news, the rate of teenage pregnancies has dropped again this year. Police say that the gunman that kill aid professor on ucla campus is connected to a murder thousands of miles away. And Governor Tom Wolf issued a call to action for all pennsylvania lawmakers to take a stand against drug addiction. Now to more developing details on the murdersuicide yesterday on the campus of ucla. Authorities say he had a kill list with at least three targets on it. His professor bill kluge was apparently on the list and police in minneapolis are linking him to the murder of a woman there. Branty hit is here with more. Investigator says that the gunman was prepared to take out multiple targets. The third person was another ucla professor and that professor had spoken to police and he was well aware that the gunman did not like him. The shooter causing mass chaos on campus he was heavily armed and went to kill two faculty and was only able to fine one. He was a former student of William Kluge an engineering professor who he gunned down before taking his own life. Investigators finding two semi automatic pistols at the scene and several magazines full of ammunition and later fining a kill list he left behind. And on it a second ucla professors name who was off campus at the time and a woman whose body was found with a gunshot wound inside of this minnesota home. She was deceased prior to the incident at ucla. They are linking this blog post for a possible motive. Calling professor kluge. A philadelphia man is behind bars tonight accused of killing his own grandmother, this is 25yearold nathaniel mcfadden, they found jaime dawson with severe injuries in her home.
