In newark, police are investigating the shooting death of a mother inside her home. Neighbors say she was a past victim of domestic violence. There is a growing memorial outside of clinton place. I think if rubio gets any head of steam out of iowa and what thats defined by, well see when we see the results. I think then that is bad news the other mainstream or esta ishment candidates that were hoping to make New Hampshire, theyre breakout spot. It could mean that rubio starts to consolidate that eote. That rubio looks like he could be the guy thats the mainstrea alternative to cruz or trump. Talk about iowa voters for those of us here in the northeast not a Diverse Group of people, they dont appear to be such a great percentage of the United States or a big representation. What is it about the Iowa Caucuses that gives them this accuracy in selecting the actual nominee and how accurate are there . Whether its accurate, thats hard to say. That stuff is so subjective. But look, i think theyve done this process now for 40 years. This is the 40th almost anniversary of their relevancy. It was in e76 that a peanut farmer from georgia, jimmy carter, used an iowa caucus showing and launched it to the white house. Ever since, president ial candidates have believed if they can make it nationally. I think that what iowa does, it forces us to find out who can organize, who can put together a campaign. You cant win the Iowa Caucuses at least until donald trump came along, we didnt think you could win by simply landing your plane, doing a big rally and leaving. That hadnt been the case. You had to organize and greet people, you had to handshake, go hand to hand retail campaigning. You had to find out who was serious about running for president and who was looking for a book deal. The trial of the Police Officer charged with killing a man in a brooklyn stairwell resumes today with testimony from a witness to that shooting. The partner of Police Officer peter liang is expected to take the stand. The two officers were headed to the roof the pink houses in november 2014 when liang fired the shot that killed akai gurley. Liang claims his gun wept off accident lip and he did not know anyone was hit. Happening now, police are searching for this man they say 70yearold man in manhattan.
