just a minute. first, josh judge joins us with a look at the weekend forecast and i was reading about fog in the area. >> it's thick out there if you haven't been outside or heading outside in the next little while. keep that in mind. temperatures because of that fog, the great equalizer, within a couple of degrees of each other, most places around the state this morning in the low to mid 30's and here is that fog. visibility down to a quarter mile or less in so many locations, around this morning, it's certainly just, you can be in a spot where you can see and virtually the seacoast, no visibility whatsoever. above the fog there's plenty of clouds and they'll thicken up more through the day and in fact, what's off to our west? more mixed rain and snow showers headed in our direction through the day today, but it won't be a complete washout. we're looking at scattered eventually burn off in the 40's. when do we get the sun back? we've got that in a few minutes. >> breaking news this morning. the world reacting to the death of of fidel castro. his brother announced his death at age 90. castro led the island nation took he gave power to his brother raul. reaction has been mixed, but in miami people flooded the streets shortly after midnight. thousands waved cuban flags and cheered and some setting off fireworks. drivers were asked to avoid the the bay of pigs and president obama became the first u.s. sitting president to visit that communist nation in nearly 70 years. castro commented on on the visit saying we don't need the empire to give us any presence. and president obama did not meet with castro, but did meet with mobile app for the latest on the breaking newsment we'll update you throughout the morning for the latest reaction around the world to fidel castro's death. here in new hampshire, force the out of their homes because of flames. >> a fire burned part of a large apartment building in manchester. wmur's mike cronin has the latest on the fire investigation. mike: one man was taken to elliott hospital for smoke inmalaysian. most of the people here were because crews were able to quickly get this fire under control. shattered windows show where a two alarm fire started friday night inside a large apartment building on hanover in manchester. >> upon arrival, there was alarms going off, when they investigated they found heavy smoke conditions on the first floor. >> more than 100 people live in the housing authority building and most are elderly. >> this is a familiar building with us, we ambulance calls so we're very familiar with what goes on in here. >> first floor residents were evacuated, but firefighters decided to not evacuate the rest of the building because of the amount of people. we quickly get the fire under control and we remove the victims and everybody else she sheller -- sheltered in place, the safest the fire down. >> it's the second fire in the past few days, where sprinklers played a role. two people were rescued and hundreds of gallons helped. >> most people were allowed to return to their homes, but several apartments have smoke and water damage. the red cross eight families who are now homeless. in manchester, mike cronin, wmur, news 9. >> the manchester mother of two children who investigators say were living in filthy conditions is now facing child endangerment charges. samana grenier was arrested on charges and the father james grenier was arrested earlier this week. investigators say when they entered his home they found the children in extremely unsanitary and unsafe conditions with human throughout the home. >> new this morning, a hudson man is behind bars facing a list of charges, an i-- accused of facing someone with a nice. they say that sean henderson had t chased him down. they charged henderson with driving while intoxicated, criminal threatening and disobeying an communities are working together on trying to find who may be responsible for a number of burglaries in that area. wmur's suzanne roantree is in laconia where is arrest may be the break they're looking for. >> over the last few days, laconia police have gotten reports of numerous thefts from businesses and parked cars along route 107. surveillance cameras in the area show a managing through cars and in the lot at gilbert and sons block company was stolen. on wednesday, the owners reported that overnight someone had broken into the business, a number of tools, equipment and a new hampshire dealer license plate were missing. the items immediately were about ut into a state wide data base. thursday night while on patrol, a laconia police officer pulled over a car driven by scott an. investigation on that vehicle, they learned that the trailer that attached to it was stolen. they subsequently seized that vehicle, through stolen license plates and the trailer. >> angers was taken into custody. belmont police and laconia police are working together in their investigation. from our burglary, maybe one of the vehicles that laconia had stopped. >> i would say there's a good chance that all the criminal activity is involved in what may come down to several people in the area. >> angers faces a class a felony charge of receiving stolen property and also arained in laconia district court on several misdemeanors unrelated to his latest arrest. in laconia, suzanne roantree, news 9. >> two people are recovering in union road. rescue crews used the jaws of life. a single car crashed union road after they failed on a sharp turn. it flipped in its side and it slammed into a tree. >> and it rolled the roof down to the patient. the patients, actually two patients, a female and a male. >> we're told the injuries are not life threatening. crashed into a utility pole leaving passengers trapped inside. hall road was closed as they worked to replace the pole and fire investigators say a car lost control and struck the pole and ended up in an embankment. investigators say the people were trapped inside the car because of live wires. they were pulled from the vehicle and taken to the hospital with nonlife threatening injuries. >> this morning, a man is facing a dwi charge after crashing his car on route he was somebody near walker auto and crossed the center line and struck by a pickup truck. there were no serious injuries. roads were closed as crews worked to clear the debris there. >> a story we brought you from salem. a go fund me page has been set up for a family that lost almost everything. >> and a three alarm fire broke out. the couple rented the house for a decade. this for their tenants. the goal is $5,000. >> 2016 christmas is here, and the annual concord christmas tree lighting. this almost didn't happen. last week, lights were ripped out of the tree and nearly 600 bulbs were lost. now, everyone is enjoying the tree. >> now it's time to enjoy the it. i'm hoping that everybody has a great holiday season. >> well, through the morning hours. we'll have your forecast coming up in a few minutes. >> the government man accused of hitting and dragging several police officers say it's a mix-up. they say that 34-year-old vincent weeks hit two with his cars and two others wednesday morning. all four have recovered. he says police have the wrong weeks is held without bail on a separate case. to south carolina now where a federal judge has ruled dylann roof to stand trial. the judge halted the case so roof could undergo a competency evaluation. jury selection will pick up on monday, if connected, roof could face the death we're facing-- we're looking at the bus crash in tennessee. they say that johnthony walker was speeding. concerns were raised prior to the crash. records show several complaints about erratic driving. one student riding earlier this morning, quote, we need seat belts. a mother of two who vanished three weeks ago while out for a life. the kidnappers are still at large. investigators say that sherri papini was kidnapped and found thursday at the side of the road in restraints after being released by her captors, she was found 150 miles from her home and investigators are looking for two women in a dark s.u.v. believed to have been involved in her abduction. the sheriff says they don't know the motive and don't think the victim knew her captors. forecast. >> and it's a seasonably cool day out there, but the big story this morning is the thick, dense fog, as the fog has limited visibility, quite low. and we've got the temperatures because of that, as a result of the fog, it doesn't allow the temperatures to really change all that much, so they're in the low and mid 30's everywhere around us. out there in some locations, they have an airport, fog advisory, as well as a dense fog advisory everywhere around the state this morning. so, keep that in mind if you're going to be heading out. a little extra caution and a little extra time as you hit the roads because of that. you can't see all that far in front of you. it will eventually burn off and take its time especially in stubborn locations and not a lot of wind to help it. it will be breezier tomorrow. the average high for today is 44 degrees, in concord. the average low 25. so we're above the average low, but we'll be pretty close to average today, within a degree or two of average temperatures. so, low and mid 40's will be common, probably lower 40's in a lot of locations around the state. above the fog, not a whole lot of of clouds, but more are streaming in from the west and it's part of this disturbance through here, through the day today. and that does mean, as it breaks apart, we're going to see not widespread showers, not a washout, but there will be some scattered showers, sprinkles, drizzle. you get the idea at times. anytime from a little later on this morning, off and on through the day today. they would fall in the form of rain and snow showers in the north country and everywhere else, it should be mild enough to make it be rain showers, where is the warm, saying? it's pretty cold one all offer the nation this morning, look, even all the way down into parts of alabama, mississippi, you're in the 30's and 40's. you have to get into texas, louisiana, florida to find any temperatures that even resemble warm. all right, so, right now, we've got clouds building in from the west and here is a look at futurecast, showing the showers breaking apart a little bit. but we see some scattered we're going to see showers off and on through the day and clearing out overnight and tomorrow we'll see a lot more sunshine, general way, clouds and sunshine with showers in the mountains, localized showers around in the mounts for tomorrow. for today, a look at your high temperatures, 40 to 45 or 46 degrees state wide and then tomorrow, about the same, but more sunshine, a little breezier, for tomorrow, there is a look at your w tuesday through thursday time period, there could be a good amount of rain. several inches of rainy are possible this week. amy: i don't see snow in that forecast. josh: not much, just the mountains. amy: all right. castro. castro's brother and current president announced this. he was 90 years old. >> donald trump's team announced two more names to his administration. the holiday shopping continues this weekend after black friday. more than 100 million people are exed shopping this weekend. we'll get to the stories and more in a minute. first, let's check with josh judge in the weather center. i hope you haven't gone holiday shopping? a few more in your future? >> there's some thick fog this morning and we've got temperatures into the low to mid 30's everywhere around the state. now to that fog where it's very thick in some locations, you can see down to a quarter mile or less visibility. of the state, not everywhere. jaffery reporting 10 miles visibility. many other places reporting much, much less because of that. there's a dense fog advisory in effect for many counties, probably should have been in western parts of new hampshire as well for some unknown reason, they did not issue those. look out for the fog around the state. the fog is down low, right above the clouds-- above the fog not a wle clouds, but this weather system will bring scattered showers and they'll be mixed showers in the mountains, everywhere else they should be in the form of rain. highs 38 to 45 today. we'll talk about when will that sunshine finally return in your full forecast coming up. >> we continue to said the race would spending. 43% said they'd be more cautious. in the post-election outlook, the nrf expects holiday sales to reach 656 billion dollars. consumer were concerned at one point in time that depending on the results of the election, it could affect a little bit of their spending. >> nearly six in ten americans will shop either indoor or online this weekend. on thanksgiving. according to adobe digital insights, online shopping sales for thanksgiving day totalled 1.93 billion dollars. that's up more than 11% compared to last year. but fell short of the original prediction of $2 billion. black friday online sales are expected to surpass 3 billion dollars. and cyber security experts are offering some advice to make sure you don't get scammed. be sure you are on legitimate websites and apps and beware to be true. whenever possible use a credit card instead of a debit card and always be home when packages are delivered. the nhspca held its own black friday event in stratham. they could pick their price on older animals and a special discounts on kittens. the nhspca says this is the most successful adoption day of the full adoption price, some people give more, storm watch forecastments we're starting off with showers to our west and right now, very there that we are dealing with as well for a saturday morning. so, as we start the day out there, we are going to see the thick fog, which will take a little bit of time to burn off and then the chance for scattered showers a little bit later. right now, we check out the temperatures and we're in the low to mid 30's everywhere. whenever you have fog this thick, it acts as sort of an equalizer and an equalizer for the temperatures around the region. you can see there not a whole lot of difference from one end of the state to the other. some spots it breaks, but other spots it's real thick. if you're out driving this morning. you need to allow yourself extra minutes and don't go quite as fast as you otherwise might do. those temperatures are comfortable, but cool out there, but the fog is the thing that you really notice as you head out the door. >> it will be burning off between 8:00 and 10 a.m. in most places except for some of the stubborn locations which could take longer. not a lot of wind to help. a this early in the morning, if you have some wind that's expect today pick up. that will help disperse the fog, but today that's not the case. tomorrow, it will be breezy. above the fog, we've got clear skies, but the clouds are filling in and that evens that once the fog burns off. we'll see clouds in the region and scattered showers. notice this disturbance. weak alberta clipper coming down across the great lakes and headed in our direction, it's do, start to deteriorate and fall apart as it moves into the region, but it still will have enough moisture left to bring some scattered showers, mostly in the form of rain, but we could see some snow showers or mixed showers in the mountains. in terms of warmth in the nation, there's not a lot. it's a chilly one all over. that cold air is dipping into the fairly deep south. so we take futurecast and move this ahead for you and show you the showers breaking apart a bit and happens. except in the mountains and points north where you'll see either snow or mixed showers on and off today and tonight there could be a couple more as well. before we start to dry out more tomorrow. tomorrow, the spot where there's showers will be in the mountains here, snow showers that could be around and then we clear right out as we head into monday. monday will be the sunniest day we've had in quite some time. welcomed news. in terms of the chances of precipitation. then tuesday, wednesday, thursday all large chances of rain and there could actually be a large amount of rain as well. highs today, 41 to 46 degrees. and then tomorrow, similar temperatures, but breezy conditions tomorrow and some sunshine. there's all of that rain downtown. the parade starts at 4 p.m. from wyatt park, followed by the tree lighting in veterans park. head to derry for more holiday magic at the 30th annual holiday parade day. featuring floats, bands and clouds, the parade kicks off at 1:00, also today, the loon center has plenty of holiday fun for the family. the 14th annual holiday open house starts at at 2:00 today. santa arrives at families are displaced after a fire burned part of a large apartment bipeding in manchester. mike cronin has the latest on hospital for smoke inhalation and most the people here were told to stay in their rooms because crews were able to quickly get this under control. >> shattered windows showed where a two alarm fire was at an apartment building in manchester. >> upon arrival, there was alarms going off. when they investigated. they found a heavy smoke condition on the first floor. >> more than 100 people live in the six-story manchester housing authority building and most are elderly. >> this is a very familiar building with us. >> we come here often for ambulance calls and alarms like this. we're familiar with what goes on in here. >> first floor residents were evacuated, but firefighters decided to not evacuate the rest of the building because of the amount of people. >> we quickly get this under control and everybody else sheltered in place. sprinklers helped to contain the flames to the first floor. >> the sprinklers held the fire down until we got in and we put the rest of the fire out. it's the second manchester fire in the past few days where sprinklers played a key role. wednesday night, nearly 300 gallons from the sprinklers helped firefighters. >> certainly saved lives. >> firefighters believe that improperly disd fire. many were allowed to return, but many had smoke and water damage. >> the red cross says they're helping eight families who are now homeless. amy: the missing mother of two children who investigators say were living in filthy conditions is facing endangerment charges. samantha grenier was arraigned. the children were in unsafe conditions with human and animal feces throughout the living quarters. >> a man was accused of threatening someone with a knife. this happened on derry road and investigators say 27-year-old sean henderson brandished a knife outside of a pizza restaurant. henderson took off in his car and they were able to track him down later. criminal threatening and disobeying an officer. trying to find out who may be responsible for a number of burglaries in the area. wmur's suzanne roantree found what may have been the break they were looking for. >> over the last few days, laconia police have gotten rummaging through cars and taking tools. a trailer parked at gilbert and sons block company was also stolen. on wednesday morning, the owners of greenwood auto at 106 and belmont reported that overnight someone had broken into the business, a number of tools and equipment and a new hampshire dealer license plate were missing. the items immediately were put into a state wide data pace. thursday night while on patrol, a laconia police officer pulled scott angers. >> while he was conducting an investigation on that vehicle, they learned that the trailer that attached to it was stolen. they subsequently seized that vehicle, two stolen license plates and the trailer. >> he was taken into custody. belmont police say one of the license plates found in his possession matched the one stolen from greenwoods auto. are working. >> what if some of the things from our burglary was in that stop. >> it may come down to several people in the area. >> he faces a class a felony charge of received stolen property and he was arained in federal district court for the arrest. amy: two people are crash. rescuers had to used jaws of life to free them. a driver failed to negotiate a sharp curve. the car flipped on its side and slammed into a tree. >> we had to cut through the car to obviously roll the roof down to get the patient out. well, the patients, actually, there were two patients, a female and a male. and they were both transported to concord hospital. threatening. >> a london terror road crashed into a utility pole leaving passengers trapped inside. hall road was closed as ever source crews worked to replace the pole. >> it ended up in an embankment. officials say people were trapped inside the car because of live wires. >> they were pulled from the hospital and threatened with nonlife threatening injuries. >> this morning, a man is f was headed back, crossed the center line and hit by a pickup truck. investigators say there were no serious injuries. one lane was closed as crews worked to clear the debris there. now to an update we brought you about a story out of salem. a go fund me page was set up for a house fire. a three alarm fire broke out. for the tenants. and the goal is to raise $5,000. thanksgiving 2016 is in the books. the christmas season is here and the tree in concord is all lit up this morning. it was part of the 30th annual concord christmas tree lighting last night. it almost didn't happen. last week, lights were ripped out about several red flags involving that school bus driver in the horrific crash in tennessee. police say johnthony walker was speeding when he crashed the bus, killing six children on monday. both students and administrators were raising concerns about walker in the weeks prior to this crash. records released by the district yesterday show several complaints about erratic month, quote, we need seat belts. a mother of two who vanished three weeks ago while out for a jog in california has been found alive. the kidnappers are at large. sherri papini was kidnapped and she was found in restraints. she was found 150 meals from her h her-- 150 miles from her home. and police women, they don't know the motive and don't know that papini knew her captors. amy: a strange story. happy fog you're looking at. that's the dense fog and it's down below the mountain there as the temperatures, 34 degrees, in fact, visibility, very low in a lot of of places and here is a look at the airports around the state and reporting their visibility. half had a mile in lebanon, seems like quite a bit compared to other locations where you've got a quarter mile or less visibility and at the seacoast, almost down to nothing. and the winds not doing much to help, light and variable, if you ever have wind and fog, usually it will help disperse the fog away. that's not the case this morning. it will burn off the fog. temperatures in the region, lo he to mid 30's, just about everywhere now. the average high in concord is 44. probably close to that within a degree or two of average for today. sunrise and sunset times for you, as well as your high and low tide. low tide coming up this afternoon at 3:45. high tide getting close now, coming up at 9:09 a.m. above that fog, there's some why? well, there's a system just to our west, a weak disturbance and this is one of the clipper systems that's going to move on through. as it does so, it clouds things back up and right as the fog is trying to burn off. we stay cloudy, for the most part, the showers with it both rain and snow will tend to break apart a little bit. so, as the system weakens moving overhead, it just brings us the chance of a passing shower or two. mostly in the form of rain, but there could be some snow today. in terms of the chill out there, it's cold. look how low down in the country the cold weather has sunk. 40 degrees in atlanta right now. it's in the 40's in arkansas. little rock at 42 degrees. and check that out. in oklahoma city, 31 chilly degrees. so, they're actually colder than we are. a look at what's going on with futurecast as that system moves eastward, it starts to break keep any of the showers, for the most part it should be in the form of rain through the day today in the mid day hours and into this afternoon. the exception from white mountains, points north and you could see snow mixing in or staying snow, off again, on again, rain showers possibly this evening and when we clear out a little bit. the exception in the mountains where there will be localized rain and snow showers. at times breezy tomorrow. at least a mixture of clouds and high interprets today will be in the low to mid 40's. most places around the state. chilly tonight, back down to the upper 20's and lower 30's and then tomorrow, more of the same temperature-wise. low to mid 40's most places with breezy conditions and at least some sunshine away from the mountains. there is your week ahead. it gets milder and tuesday afternoon, rain moves in, off and on right through thursday, there could be to get your results back. samples. when you apply the line in the fall, it has time to fully react by the time spring rolls around and you don't have to wait a full season. what's the best way to get about getting that sample? >> basically what you want to do, you two three things, a good trowel, a container to mix in and then you need a bucket to collect in and typically what you would do, in a garden spot or lawn area, wherever sampling, you would go around and take six to eight samples and typically representative samples, as long as you don't have major changes in soil type and collect those. >> do you want to take some from the side and some from the center, that type of thing? >> a random pattern is best and you put those in the bucket and mix them well. once you do, you remove, rocks, twigs, debris, and grass. try to keep it out of the sample and mix it well and you can dry way and put it in a plastic bag and send it to durham, unh. >> we have a form here, trying to fill this out. what are important things? >> all of your contact information goes up top and then the important thing is crop codes. so you can look on the back of that form and it's going to give you options for crop codes, your vegetable garden, growing blueberries, potatoes, flower gardens, things like that. >> you get your results back and i guess you compare them to this. >> abso that's going to help you understand what those numbers mean and how to utilize them. and if you have questions still afterwards, then you can call us at the education center and talk with our master gardeners take a while to burn off. take a look at this photo. look at the fog, this is courtesy of steel hill resorts overlooking the lake here in sanbornton. this is all fog here. you can see the mountain in the distance and above the fog, partly sunny skies, so if you are at higher elevations like this, you may be seeing some breaks of sun. meanwhile, the areas na are lower, lots of this fog around and check down at th snow on the ground there as well. just a great shot. 32 degrees there in that region of the state and we look around the fog and the visibility, so low, in many spots, these are the airports reporting in, about a quarter mile visibility in concord, manchester, nashua and keene and many locations concord, a quarter mile and here is the wind. sometimes we look to the wind to help disperse the fog, not going to really help with wind this light and variable this morning. so, that fog needs to burn off on its own. it takes a while to do it. there's a dense fog advisory in effect until 9:00, but a lot of places see it lasting beyond that. here are your temperatures, notice something similar about them. they're close together, thanks to the fog that limits the amount that the temperatures can go up and down. that's why it's so simila skies, but these clouds, also, will fill in, thanks to the clipper system off to the west and that will be pushing in. as it does so, it brings a risk of scattered showers. notice how a lot of them are snow right now. but it's because of the time of day it's going to be arriving, they'll be falling in most granite state, very scattered in nature. you may stay dry and it's not a washout by any stretch. through. here is how it looks on futurecast. notice how it breaks apart, but we do still see some showers or sprinkles or even some drizzle at times through the day today. and in the mountains that could be in the form of mixed showers or snow. but we're clearing out overnight into tomorrow. we see clouds and breaks of sunshine. partly sunny for tomorrow. the one exception in and around the mountains where tomorrow, the wind picks up out of the northwest and banks in the mountains and so often the case, we s in the mountains, localized, of course, and so keep that in mind, we get into monday and we see nonstop sunshine on monday with seasonable temperatures, then late monday, you start seeing this off to our west and that's our next rain chance. moving in. in fact, that rain chance will really be felt rather tuesday afternoon, tuesday night. off and on on wednesday, and off and on on thursday as well. and those days together, could bring us several inches of much-needed rain. so your highs today will be in the lower half of the 40's around the granite state. tomorrow, about the same. maybe a degree or two cooler, more sunshine, breezy, tomorrow, with mountain snow showers, sunny on monday and despite the temperatures rising this week, we've got a good chance of rain and we really need more rain before fire. mike cronin has the latest on the investigation. mike: one man was taken to elliott hospital for smoke inhalation. most were told to stay in their >> shattered windows show where the fire started on hanover street in manchester. >> upon arrival there was alarms going off. when they investigated, they found a heavy smoke condition on the first floor. mike: more than 100 people live in the six-story manchester housing authority building. most are elderly. >> this is a very familiar building with us. we come here often for ambulance calls and alarms like this. so we're very familiar with what goes on in here. >> first floor residents decided to not evacuate the rest of the building because of the amount of people. >> we quickly get the fire under control. we remove the victims that we have to remove. everybody else sheltered in place and that's the safest thing to do with a situation like this. >> fire chief dan gunnen says that sprinklers help contain flames to the first floor. >> the sprinklers held the fire down until we got in and where we put the rest of the fire out. >> it's the second manchester fire in the past few days, where rescued from a fire on elm street, nearly 300 gallons of water from the sprinklers helped firefighters. >> sprinklers save lives, certainly. >> firefighters believe improper disposal of smoking materials caused the hanover street fire. most people were allowed to return to their homes, but several apartments have smoke and water damage. >> and the red cross says it's helping eight families who are now homeless. >> in manchester, mike cronin, wmur news 9. >> m children who investigators say were living in filth think conditions is facing child endangerment charges. the father of the children, james grenier was arrested later this week and when they entered the home they found the children in extremely unsanitary and unsafe conditions with human and animal feces scattered throughout the home. new this morning, a hudson man is behind bars facing a list of road. they say that shaun henderson brandished a knife outside with a pizza restaurant. police were able to track him down ten minutes later. police charged henderson of driving while intoxicated, criminal threatening and disobeying a police officer. police are working together on trying to find out who may be responsible for a series of burglaries in the area. wmur's suzanne roantree is in laconia whe a been the break in the case they were looking for. >> over the last few days, laconia police have gotten reports from numerous thefts from businesses and parked cars along route 107. surveillance cameras in the area, show a man rummaging through cars and taking tools, a trailer that was parked in the lot at gilbert at the block company was stolen. >> on wednesday morning, the owners of greenwood reported to number of tools, equipment, and a new hampshire dealer license plate were missing. the items were put into a state-wide data base. thursday night while on patrol, a laconia police officer pulled over a car driven by 21-year-old scott angers. >> while he was conducting an investigation on the vehicle, they learned that the trailer attached to it was stolen. they subsequently seized that vehicle, two plates and the trailer. he was taken into custody. belmont police say one of the license plates that was found in his possession matched the one stolen from greenwoods auto. belmont and laconia police are working together in the investigation. >> what if any of the things stolen was in the laconia stop. >> i would say a good chance the criminal activity may come down >> he faces a class a felony charge of receiving stolen property and was arraigned on several misdemeanors unrelated to tuesday's arrest. suzanne roantree, wmur news 9. amy: two people are recovering in belmont after a car crash op union road. they had to use the jaws of life to free them from the car. the car failed to negotiate a sharp slammed into a tree. we had to cut into the car and roll the roof down to get the patient out. or the patients. actually two patients. a female and a male. they were both transported to the concord hospital. we're told those injuries are not life threatening. >> a londonderry road was caused for hours after a car crashed into a utility pole leaving passengers trapped inside. and the crews worked to replace that pole. the people were trapped inside due to live wires. they were pulled from the vehicle and taken to the hospital with nonlife threatening injuries. this morning, a man is facing a dwi charge after crashing his car at route 11 in wilmont. the driver was westbound near walker auto when he lost control, crossed the center line and struck by a pickup truck. investigators say there were no serious injuries. one lane was closed while crews a go fund me page was set up for a family who nearly lost everything in a house fire. a three alarm blaze broke out on haverhill road. the couple rented the home for a decade. the owners of the hoist started this go fund me for their tenants and the goal is to raise $5,000. well, thanksgiving 2016 is in the books and the christmas season is here. and the tree in concord is all lit up this morning. part of the 30th annual concord night. it almost didn't happen. last week lights were ripped out of the tree at the state house and about 600 bulbs were lost. the community raised $500 for new lights and now, everyone is enjoying the tree. >> now, it's time to focus on the holidays and all the good that comes with it, so, i'm really hoping that everybody has a dragged two officers with his car and hit two others wednesday morning. all four have recovered. weeks' attorney says the police have the wrong man. his sister told them she rented the car involved in the incident for her brother to use. weekes is held without bail on a separate case. >> a judge ruled dylann roof competent to stand trial. it was at a church in charleston and the judge halted the case so roof could undergo a competency evaluation. the death penalty. this morning, we're learning about several red flags involving a school bus driver in that horrific crash in tennessee. investigators say johnthony walker was speeding when he crashed the bus killing six children. there were concerns raised about walker in the weeks leading up to the crash. records show complaints about erratic driver. one student writing earlier this month, qu w three weeks ago while jogging in california has been found alive. the kidnappers are at large. police say sherri papini was found on the side of the road in restraints after being released from her captors 50 miles from her home. investigators say they're now looking for two women in a dark s.u.v. believed to be involved in the outside driving, please use extra caution out there. this is warner, you have to take my word for it because you can't see it. the granite state. notice the top of the street it says unlimited visibility for mount washington, that's because you can see over the fog for unlimited, as far as your eye can see until the curvature of the earth kicks in. as you can see, the low visibility is at many of the airports around the state. down to 1/8 of a mile visibility pea soup thick out there. the wind is not going to help us for sure. wind sometimes helps disperse the fog, but there's no wind to speak of. light and variable there. the wind doesn't pick up until tomorrow. it's breezy out there tomorrow. there's a look at the temperatures and the interesting thing about fog, it really limits how much the temperatures can go up or down. so, because of all of that fog out there, you can see the temperatures are very even all over the place. let's take a look at various here is gilford and there's the fog all over the lake. we go to the seacoast, rye beach and more fog out there and thick fog is certainly in plymouth where we have seen about a quarter mile visibility all morning long. and one more for you here, lake sunapee, you can see the fog over the lake. it's everywhere, well, most everywhere, you may or may not see it, if you're on a little you may be looking overthe fog, many places reporting that. partly sunny out there. these are the clouds above it. this is the disturbance to the west and this is a weak alberta system headed toward us. and that will fill in the clouds and some scattered showers. notice, there's plenty of snow involved in that right now, but as it approaches us, the temperatures are going to be warming just enough that it should change over maybe a brief mix in the monadnock region, but it should change over to rain here. it also breaksrt how many showers we see out of this. a couple of sprinkles or a shower or two or three maybe for some locations, in northern new hampshire, certainly, mixed precipitation and snow as we go through the day today. off and on into the day and clearing kicking in tomorrow as the winds reverse and start to come down out of the northwest, they bump into the mountains and that's why these are localized. everywhere else tomorrow. partly sunny skies and breezy check out monday's forecast, all of that sunshine, before the next batch of rain works in. highs today low to mid 40's with morning fog and plenty of clouds and some scattered showers, tomorrow partly sunny, breezy, and snow showers in the mountains and this week ahead, rain starting tuesday afternoon on and off through thursday. it's possible, some areas could see, two, three, even four inches of much-needed beneficial rain this far as the eye can see or cannot see. some areas are thickly settled that's what it looks like toward mount monadnock, you don't get to see too much. and manchester and pease airports. wind will usually help disperse the fog. not the case this morning. it's background to take time slowly. dense fogg advisories, will extend in some areas. 32 and 36 degrees, not a wide temperature spread this morning thanks to the fog. highs are on average, 44 degrees on this day every year, if we average together. how do you get na? you average together the last 30 years. and 44 is the average and will be very close to that. sometimes it's uncanny how close to the average. probably 43, maybe 44 for a high in concord today, but probably right around there. there's a look at the clouds above that fog. so, if you're in a higher area you don't have anywhere where you are, you perhaps are seeing partly sunny skies out there this morning. clouds off to our west though and showers going to be moving in. we zoomed in the doppler radar here toward albany and steaming toward vermont and eventually in our direction, the showers. however, the area of showers are shrinking and will continue to do so as it moves toward us. do look for scattered rain showers or sprinkles at times today, and those clouds will be thickening up once the fog burns off if it go. and the showers move in and here is how they do it on futurecast. notice how they break apart into not much, but still, some scattered sprinkles out there. and in the north country they will be mixed showers of rain and/or snow and that could continue on through the well. gradually overnight. clearing works in and the breeze picks up and that will help disperse any leftover fog. sunshine in the mountains. otherwise a mixture of clouds and sunshine for your sunday. much brighter day for tomorrow. and speaking of bright days, how about monday. even in the north country, the snow showers dry up and we see sunshine on monday. late monday, here is comes, the next disturbance which will bring a good batch of rain. so, about a showers today and look at that, tuesday, wednesday, thursday, very high chances of rain, in fact, it could be very heavy. along with the rain does come some slightly milder air, a bump in the jetstream or a ridge, starting this week. and it does warm things up a little bit, but, of course, that's right when the rain will be around and into the week and next weekend, things look colder all over again. highs today, low to mid 40's and then tomorrow, similar temperatures, lower 40's to mid through thursday, on again/off again downpours and some heavy rainfall. several inches of beneficial rain is likely to fall in that tuesday to thursday time period. and we'll take every drop. amy: ok. yes, we will.
