thank you. we begin in plaistow. the community is mourning the death of a high school student. sean: a junior highed from of drug overdose early wednesday morning. her name has not been released. live from the police department as they are investigating this ray: school started just a little over a week ago. now the principal at the high school has had to send home a sad letter saying a member of their junior class died. the principal sent the letter home telling them the sad news, the death of a female in the junior class. in the letter he wrote the death of a result of a drug overdose. now counselors and administers are ov students. on the high school's web site, advice is posted on how to cope with the loss. the school superintendent also said the student died of a drug overdose but did not mention any specific drug or location. so far plaistow police are only confirming they are investigating the death. the principal says classes and activities will go on as planned at the high school. plaistow police say they hope to be able to reporting live in plaistow, ray brewer. sean: now to commitment 2016 we are now just a week from the state primary in new hampshire. erin: jim the 15th anniversary of 9/11. the piece is being given took in thousands of airline passengers who were grounded during the attacks. granite state firefighters joined those from new york and early on. this lingering even though what is left of hermine and its effects contin the clouds are going to be most stubborn. inland sections any fog or low cloudiness will burn off to partial sunshine. we're going to add a couple of degrees through the afternoon. with the humidity and dewpoints south of the white mountains in the 60's going to feel a lot more like mid summer than it is going to feel like the effects of an early fall kind of situation. we have the longer nights these days. that really allows temperatures to fall off overnight getting more of an opportunity to drop back to the we start off with high clouds. above that toking it is clear skies. except up in the north country. a couple of showers back to the west. they are dying out. the front itself back through the great lakes will be crossing the state later on tonight. there will be the chance of a couple of scattered showers or even a thunderstorm moving through during the evening and overnight hours tonight. that will be the first of two rain chances we'll have in the forecast. temperatures going anywhere from the upper 50's and u manchester to the shoreline. mid 60's and fog is an issue. we're seeing visibility is less than a quarter of a mile. plenty of warmth back to the west. looks like the warmth and humidity with us through saturday. then we'll start to take the edge off as a front comes through with another chance of scattered showers. highs today for the most. the humidity in place. we'll have the clouds trying to hang on closer to the shoreline they've we've been seeing play out. farther inland we'll continue to see the partial sunshine. there are the showers back out to the west. showers and maybe a passing thunderstorm during the evening and overnight hours. any clouds giving way at the shoreline which will allow temperatures to jump into the 80's statewide. we could be looking at 87 to 89 in a couple of interior section the next system gets geared up. that looks like it is timed out for later saturday, mainly saturday evening and early sunday. it will be behind the second front that comes through that the winds turn to the northwest. a good breeze for sunday. temperatures for most today will be in the low to mid 80's. as you'll notice the humidity still in place through the day on coming through on saturday evening with scattered showers and maybe even a thunderstorm. the second of the two systems. behind that will be a breeze that will start clearing things out on sunday. temperatures will slip back into the 70's to lower range of the 80's. a good deal of sunshine and comfortable on monday. looks like we start another warming trend ahead of the next system that would arrive on wednesday. behind that, cooler air as we start to ebb back closer to the averages for this time of year eventually keeping the pools open. erin: at least for the weekend. sean: the top stories with ray brewer. ray: plaistow police are looking into the death of high school junior. the principal sending a note home. the principal says it was a drug overdose. but it did not specify where the overdose took place or what type of drug was involved. plaistow police say they hope to be able to release some more erin: police in manchester are searching for a suspect in connection with an armed robbery that left one man in the hospital. the store clerk was robbed at junior died from a drug overdose yesterday morning. her name has not been released. authorities say they are investigating the death. good morning, ray. ray: good morning, sean. school has only been in session about a week. yesterday the principal at timberlane regional high school had to pass on the sad news that a member of the juneon class had died. the principal of timberlane sent a letter some sad news. the death of a female student in the junior class. in the letter donald wrote the death was the result of a drug overdose. the school counselors and administers are providing support for those who express a need. should your student exhibit any signs of difficulty or if you have any concerns that you feel we should know about, please call administration or guidance. the school superintendent also tells news 9 that the student died of mention any specific drug or location. plaistow police will only confirm they are investigating. they are not yet releasing the circumstances surrounding the student's death. on the high school's web site advice is posted on how to cope with loss along with information about grieving a drug overdose. ray: the principal says that classes and primary challengers, jim rubens in the debate. ruebens attacked ayotte as being too liberal and too bipartisan saying new hampshire needs a solid con seckive in the senate. ayotte did her best to side step ruebens and pivot to the likely opponent in november. both candidates agree control neither the white house nor congress, they cap their ability to fight for the principals in the senate by imposing term limits. >> i have self-imposed a two-term limit on myself. i have actively traveled around the country providing a term limits constitutional amendment. >> senator? >> yes, i've co-sponsored legislation. two terms in the senate. sean: that limit could become a she noted she's not thinking beyond 2016 right now. in our granite state debates continue with the republican the shot on white cedar boulevard. erin: a former nursing home employee has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting an elderly woman in his care. it last year that 46-year-old timmy morrissey was with a 79-year-old patient when a co-worker walked in and saw morrissey sexually assaulting the woman. he was fired on the spot. in court yesterday, morrissey apologized for his crime and was sentenced to a minimum of a year and a half behind bars. >> i would like to extend my apologies to the family. not only the family -- i family but also to the rest of the families at nursing home as well. the residents. erin: as part of the plea deal, morrissey will never work as a nurse again and never work with the elderly or young people. sean: firefighters are headed back into the woods today to check on a brush fire. stub and fire was burning for three days in the woods after grove road before crews finally managed to put it out yesterday. we're told the fire burned roughly who acres. foreca campfire left behind. not only does the drought provide an added challenge, crews were dealing with beehives. one firefighter was stung several times. the recent rain should help out. erin: word on how many people were injured or killed. sean: a russian fighter jet threw within ten feet of the u.s. navy surveillance aircraft. they say the jet made the maneuver yesterday as they were conducting routine operations. the russian jet conducted four intercepts and the one that was considered unsafe lasted about 19 minutes. a russian defense minister spokesman says the u.s. aircraft did not have its transponders on and it approached russia's border twice. erin: six people, including three kids were sent to the hospital after high levels of carbon monoxide were found inside an apartment building. >> it smelled like a car was running. i went down in the basement. it smelled really bad. erin: the incident was reported at the riverside condominiums in water town. mike says he called his landlord after smelling levels of carbon monoxide. the building was evacuated and aired out. the six people taken to the hospital are expected to be okay. sean: two manchester police officers who were shot in the line of duty in may are now back on the job. officers ryan hardy and matt o'connor returned to work two weeks ago. they were shot during the pursuit of a suspect on manchester's west side. hardy was shot in the face and shoulder. o'connor was sho midnight shift and requested no fanfare. >> i do know the community is emotionally investigated in their recovery. it's meant a lot to me and the department. i was hoping to offer the community some visuals of these brave men back to work. being the humble officers they are and they just wanted to come in quietly. that's what they've done. sean: the alleged gunman is his trial on capital murder charges. erin: they are hosting an open house in nashua today for addicts. groups will be opening its doors from 3:30 zero flag that disappeared after 9/11 has reportedly been found. a fire station in everest, washington by a man who claimed to be a marine. it was sent to the washington state patrol crime lab for cloudy sky. inland sections, especially farther west and north have been weeding in more sunshine as of late. i think more out there today even in places that haven't seen much like concord and manchester likely getting in on more sunshine today as the effects of hermine continue to slowly shift away. still a lot of linger the low to mid 80's. lows in the 60's with a passing shower or storm. even warmer tomorrow. tomorrow likely the warmest day of the entire stretch before we have another front coming through over the weekend which will start to lower the humidity. looks like that starts to develop on sunday on the northwesterly wind. for the time being, partly cloudy skies out there. patchy fog due to the higher humidity overnight and longer evenings out there. you notice the first of two fronts back out to the west. this crosses state later on tonight. shower chances if we're going to see anything would in far north western sections after 5:00 or 6:00. then from there, the better chance will be overnight for anyone as they will continue to see the chance of a passing shower or storm moving from west to east across the state overnight. temperatures right now in the 60's to near 70 degrees. of course we have the dewpoints in the 60's south of the white mountains. temperatures with the longer evenings just allowing to fall back to the levels. this is known as the time of year with a lot of fog. the time being. while you have the longer nights out there. still some 50's up north. even there have a little bit warmer than the last few mornings. temperatures today will be making their way up into the upper 70's to mid 80's. just kind of scattered around. as you get down in elevation seeing the patchy fog play out. a lot of that will be burning off here by 9:00 or 9:30. that leaves us with partial sunshine. maybe as far inland. you are likely stuck in the clouds today. we'll call it a mostly cloudy skies. just a few breaks later on. that will keep temperatures down there. inland sections will go into the low to mid 80's. chance of a passing shower storm. doesn't look like much. tomorrow we give way to sunshine. it should be a warmer today. highs tomorrow 80's statewide. maybe as high as 88 or 89 in a few southern locations. then the next front looks like it approaches over the weekend. looks like any sort of day saturday will be give way to clouds. another front crossing saturday evening or early sunday could start to lower the humidity levels starting as quickly as early sunday. i think early sunday with it building northwesterly wind, we'll start to knock down the humidity for the first half of next week. low to mid 80's today. fog giving way to partial sunshine. clouds will be hugging the coastline. a shower or storm with the warmth and
