division of children, youth and families has been contacted and are involved in this investigation. i'm andy hershberger, wmur news 9. josh: now to commitment 2016 coverage, in just two days but donald trump and hillary clinton is back in new hampshire. clinton held a rally with bernie sanders that drew huge crowds on the campus of u.n.h. much of her message today was directed at the students telling them a majority priority of her administration will be affordable debt-free higher education. hillary clinton went onto say she's really proud of the primary race that she and bernie sanders ran that earned her the nomination saying it was focused on issues and not on insults. supporters lined up hours ahead of today's rally to secure their spot inside, but they did have some company from demonstrators supporting other candidates in this race. cherise leclerc is live in durham with the last attend dees are just clearing out. reporter: that's right, a lot of here earlier this morning, camping out for several hours, just to ensure they got a spot inside the field house. they're calling this watching history come alive. campus police tell me several thousand people and that's an early estimate showed up outside the field house for today's rally. they had about 40 officers on duty to help with with crowd control, which they tell us everything ran smoothly. people came with signs, buttons, ready to support the democratic nominee for president. for s students, not only is this the first campaign rally they've ever attended for a candidate, it's also their first time voting. while there were no visible donald trump supporters here, there was a small group of supporters for green party candidate jill stein. >> i think it's a really good experience for me to be here and see what she's saying and just to kind of gain more knowledge, and because like u.n.h. is really great that we have candidates coming here, so i is definitely a four-party race, and the 15% polling for the johnson and stein to get into the debates is rather absurd because obviously it's cutting into both of their percentages, neither one are ever going to poll in the 50's. reporter: the field house here fits about 1200 people, so some had to be turned away at the doors, all this happening on the eve of donald trump's visit to new hampshire tomorrow. i'm cherise 9. josh: former rival bernie sanders might be clinton's most important ally in new hampshire, a stay that sanders won in the primary. we sat down with sanders and he says in this election with the world in cries and is donald trump now one step away from the white house, normal rules don't apply. >> so the differences i think are very clear. and even if you have a difference of opinion with clinton on this or you don't like her, i think the stakes are so high at this moment in american history that it's clinton. and i intend to do everything i can to make that happen. josh: sanders does concede that clinton may have some trust issues to overcome, but says if she's clear about what her plans are and follows through with those plans, trust can be restored. for those who are unsatisfied by clinton or trump, a pair of republican governors have pointed forces to form the libertarian ticket. that if you tell the truth, you don have to remember anything. and i think the one unforgivable in life is hypocrisy, saying one thing and doing another. neither bill weld nor myself are hypocrites. josh: they say their message is resonating and picking up steam. we'll hear more from this ticket coming up at 6:00. donald trump was in the windy city today and spoke to polish tomorrow's events will be a rally in bedford, at the sports plex at noon. an incandidate for congress in new hampshire's first district, in the 50's in a good portion of the state and a little warmer farther to the north. there's your current temperatures in these lines, that is the wind direction and that's part of the reason we are so much cooler today with the the clouds and some sprinkles or drizzle that were around especially this morning. here's those winds through tonight and into the day tomorrow and look, they don't change a whole lot, still out of the northeast or the north northeast. and that's keeping cooler air coming in our direction tomorrow and that trend continues as we look ahead to friday as well. so the cooler weather trend for the most part will hold, with below average temperatures for the next several days, right into and probably through the weekend as although it won't be as cold as today was. today was certainly chilly and raw. but a different story in northern new hampshire where the clouds cleared much earlier. temperatures made it warmer, let's zoom in and show you, here's berlin at 62 degrees. earlier today and still in the low 60's right now. a lot of sunshine, these areas seeing the most sunshine today. and the warmest conditions for a change in northern new hampshire. that will be the case for the next several days as well, the clouds pretty good. therefore tonight we'll see cloudy skies in the southern half of the state and clear skies in areas farther to the north. but through the day tomorrow these clouds in southern new hampshire look to burn off by the afternoon. so we'll go from clouds to sun there and see a good amount. sunshine in northern new hampshire tomorrow. you see showers trying to ride up toward us, but there's a big area of high pressure just to our northeast here and that is keeping sort of a buffer zone and keeping that rain a continues. yesterday we told you this would happen, here's matthew, now tropical storm matthew, it was just a weak wave, now it has strengthened as it crossed the leeward islands. where is it headed from here. top women right now are 60 miles per hour. it's expected to strengthen into a hurricane and then make a turn as we get later into the week. here's a look at what the computer models are doing, they keep it just as you saw on that range the computer models are all over the place as to where this could go. you can see plenty of them do bring it up in our neighborhood late next week. so we are obviously going to have to watch that closely. there's a big spread, some models keeping it over the bahamas the entire time, others bringing it right up over new england, so we'll have to wait and see what happens there. meanwhile around here we'll see the clouds strengthening and tightening their grip tonight in the southern half of the state into early tomorrow morning, but then the we turn into a much nicer day tomorrow. so tonight 40's in the areas with with clouds. 30's farther to the north. then tomorrow we'll see the temperatures reaching into the 60's. so a little warmer than today, especially the farther north. but we'll still be well below average, and you see that trend holds. next widespread rain moves in late friday and friday night in southern new hampshire and scattered showers appear likely right now still on saturday. josh: you've been saying it jean: thanks, josh. josh: entertainment news, some celebrities come with extra risks. jean: who has become the >> that's great. red tailed hawks are, excuse me, that we monitor from this site along with our other hawk watch site in southern new hampshire. but that's two of many hawk watch sites around the country where they're monitoring these birds, as they migrate south for the winter. we're three weeks into our migration period at this point, we've seen i think maybe three quarters of the birds that will pass by this spot. but we still have another month and a half to go. mike: and great on the observatory deck as well because you've got in great platform the birds prey. you've seen anything from storm. it has packed winds upwards of 130 miles per hour. that's the equivalent to a category 4 hurricane here. take a look at this video from china and taiwan, you can see flooding waters, you see very strong winds. obviously some storm surge there and all this has caused major today in china. some buildings have collapsed and we're hearing now that up to five people may have died today in china and hundreds injured. here's a satellite view, i'm going to first show you the united states and i'll zoom you over to where this storm is, it's a long way as way from us of course, but it's been spinning through taiwan and now into china. you can see that spin up toward the north and west of taiwan there. it has shown subject tanks weakening as it's moved inland. it only has 35-mile per hour wind with it, so it diminished greatly since the strong storm it was about 24 hours ago. there is something to talk about in the tropics closer to home, closer to us. for more on that here's josh judge. josh j.: we have certainly seen a storm that could be getting closer to here, details on that coming up. here's a look at the temperatures around the region today. 50's for most of us. what a change. a look around the region showing the skies that cleared in the northern and central parts of the state. here's the lakes region, and as you can see some partly cloudy skies there, beautiful here in littleton and then you go farther south, here's warner with the cloud deck locked in for now, as the clouds will be sticking around through much of the night for southern part of of the state. you may see some breaks in them here and there. tomorrow morning after some early clouds to start,e' away and we'll see the sunshine coming out and a pretty nice day is on the way for tomorrow. but it will remain on the cool side. that's the difference is that tomorrow a much cooler day thanks to the winds out of the northeast. you see a couple showers here rolling up the east coast and they look like they're coming toward us, but because of high pressure to our northeast it's acting as a blocking mechanism overnight. and this is our next player to watch closely. this upper level low pressure system over the great lakes right now, just sits there and spins. but eventually starts to spin around and bring rotating through the flow some showers that will come here to the northeast and new hampshire and new england as well. so clouds overnight tonight, but watch them clear away through the day tomorrow. even in southern new hampshire we should see breaks of sun by the afternoon or mostly sunny the 60's again even in the spots that were cooler for today. then as we get into friday it's slowly goes in e verse, we start off with sunshine with the clouds thickening up and late day friday or friday night southern new hampshire sees showers rolling in. into saturday the showers will be around, especially in the first half of the day, there could be scattered showers on sunday as well. tonight 30's to the north of us, 40's elsewhere. and 60's for tomorrow. so a little warmer than today in and on friday, temperatures remain on the cooler side, upper 50's, lower 60's. temperatures staying in the 50's and 60's with scattered showers, especially late on friday, friday night into saturday. we really need some rain, can't control the fact that it might happen on the
