i m shelley walcott, wmur news 9. jean: breaking news out of south carolina. police say two students and one teacher were wounded after a shooting at an elementary school. anderson county coroner says the students do not appear to have life threatening injuries. a motive isn t known at this point, but local media says a death reported on a nearby road is related to the shooting, although it s not clear how. police say a teen suspect is in custody. tonight salem police are considering whether to file charges against a mother after her 2-year-old daughter was run over. investigators say the mother told police she andy hershberger has more. reporter: salem police say the toddler is expected to be okay after being run over by the family car last night with her 7-year-old sister behind the wheel. police say they were called to police say the mother of the 7-year-old gave her permission to go outside and start the car. police say the girls 2-year-old sister followed her out ....
amy: good morning, new hampshire. 6:00 on this sunday, october 2nd. i m amy coveno. we ll get to the top stories in just a minute. josh is looking at the forecast. still rainy out there. yeah, it wasn t the nicest day out there, was it? we ve got another similar day although it could be better today. a little bit more dry time through sunday, but certainly, another cool, wet day. you can see we ve got clouds and a few showers around the region and a very stray shower moving through southwestern new hampshire as we check out the doppler radar. we ll zoom out farther and show you this, this area of low pressure sitting and spinning still right there. as the flow moves around that, it brings in the occasional showers at times and we can t clear out until that makes its way across the region and whit, until then on and off showers are a chance. temperatures either side of 50 right now and only once again making it into the 50 s, a couple of degrees milder than yesterday, ....

we re going to start to really cool off over the weekend. hayley: in a big way. the temperatures are going to be the highs that a lot of us will get to on sunday. a chilly start this morning. once we get there, before we get there, we have a couple of systems to move through that will bring us the chance for rain and snow showers. there was a live look in manchester. it is 47 degrees. 47 in nashua. about 44 in concord. look at 50 s upper valley and up in the great north woods. all due to the clouds. they ve been thicker in those areas overnight. that keeps the temperatures a little bit warmer typically. now there are a couple of scattered showers moving through. for the most part, they ve been up to the north and in the upper valley. all of us run the risk of seeing scattered showers. the skies should clear out. mperatures will top out later this afternoon in the 50 s statewide. i ll have more on the forecast for you in a couple of minutes. first for a look at the morni ....
showers, with even a light accumulation in the great north woods and northern part of the white mountains. while southern new hampshire will top off in the low 50 s. certainly cooler than today, but believe it or not it turns even colder before the weekend is over. more on that straight ahead. jean: new developments tonight in the search for a missing hiker. authorities have found a body in the gale river in bethlehem that looks like the woman they ve been searching for. claire marie cocuzzo was last seen september 29 but wasn t reported missing until wednesday. as heather hamel reports, search crews spent the past two days looking for her until they made a grim discovery earlier today. reporter: searchers are only on the ground for three hours before they found a body it on the banks of a river. the medical examiner was taken into the mountains by atv, this cocuzzo reported her missing. the 64-year-old massachusetts woman takes an annual hike in the white mountains, he ....
