First right to that new fallout from President Trumps stunning claim accusing president obama of wiretapping phones in trump tower before the election. All this without offering proof. The former administration is denying accusations. Three big question, number one, did president obama order an illegal wiretap at trump tower. Does President Trump have any evidence to back that up and will Trumps Justice Department publicly deny the allegations as requested by fbi director james comey. Our chief investigative correspondent brian ross starts us off. Good morning. Good morning. Well, in just a few minutes with a few hundred characters on twitter, President Trump managed to impugn the integrity of both president obama and the fbi and spread what Senior Intelligence Officials Say is a huge falsehood. The actual source of the president s stunning claim, the fbi bugged trump tower, on the orders of president obama remains a mystery this morning. But today the outraged fbi director james comey may learn whether the Justice Department will agree to go public as he has asked and correct the president from what comey says are false statements about wiretapping. The former dni, the director of National Intelligence James Clapper has already gone public to refute the president s assertions. For the part of the National Security apparatus that i oversaw as dni, there was no such wiret against the president elect at the time or as a candidate or against his campaign. Reporter the only white house official to speak publicly since the tweets Sarah Huckabee sanders appeared on the abc program this week and tried to change the subject when Martha Raddatz pressed for an answer about the source. The president of the United States is accusing the former president of wiretapping him. I think that this is again something that if this happened, martha if, if, if. I agree. Reporter there was no if in the president s twitter messages rather that the wiretaps actually did happen. Quote, terrible, just found out that obama had my wires tapped in trump tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is mccarthyism. He has unlimited access to the countrys greatest secrets as president but it seems increasingly clear he instead relied heavily on questions raised in a fox news are you concerned on the flip side that the Obama Administration may have been surveilling members of the Trump Campaign. Reporter on the conservative breitbart website which friday highlighted a conspiracy loving radio talk show host, mark levin. How many of trumps people were eavesdropped on, how many had their conversations intercepted, recorded, transcribed, because this, ladies and gentlemen, is the big scandal. Reporter a spokesman for former president obama joined the chorus of those calling the president s allegations false. His former white house National Security aide ben rhodes responded, no president can order a wiretap. Those restrictions were put in place to protect citizens from people like you. If trump were to be right that there was a wiretap, it would also mean the fbi felt it had developed enough evidence of collusion between the russians and the Trump Campaign to actually get a special panel of judges, not the white house, to approve a wiretap, george and robin. As we know the fbi james comey is firing back against the president s claims and asking the Justice Department to set the record straight. Our senior justice correspondent Pierre Thomas joins us from washington. Pierre, why is james comey taking this step of challenging the president . Reporter sources tell me comey believes that what President Trump tweeted was misleading and inaccurate and all but suggested the bureau acted improperly. Protecting the integrity of the fbi is a huge issue for comey and looks like hes laying down the marker. The director of the fbi going headtohead with the president of the United States. How does this play out, pierre. Reporter in potentially explosive. Youre talking about two strongwhiched men. Depending ow trump reacts he may find out how fiercely independent comey can be. Attorney general Jeff Sessions just recused himself from having anything to do with the investigation into the 2016 Campaign Including russian influence. So, comey will likely have to deal directly with the acting Deputy Attorney general, hes waiting for an answer. Comey is the man who stood up to when he felt they were operating a Surveillance Program that was not constitutional and faced a firestorm for reowing the Hillary Clinton email investigation just days before the election. When comey thinks hes right hes shown hes prepared for withering scrutiny and political heat. Well find out soon if comey and the president can coexist, robin. You mention the attorney general recusing himself. How do you feel that will factor in . Reporter well, its complicated because you have an acting Deputy Attorney general who will probably be consulting the career people about what to do. No one knows how this will turn out. So, we now know that the fbi director has told the Justice Department that President Trumps explosive claims are inaccurate. Does President Trump accept the fbi directors denial . You know, i dont think he does, george. I think he firmly believes this is a story line reported pretty widely by quite a few outlets. The wiretapping has been discussed in the New York Times, bbc, fox news and we believe that sarah, i have to stop you. Sarah, i have got to stop you right there. Every single article you just mentioned does not back up the president s claim that president obama had him wiretapped. Not a single one of those articles backs that up. So, what is the president s evidence . It does back up the fact that the administration was wiretapping american citizens. There was wide reporting sugg t suggesting his Administration Whether directly ordered by this president specifically his administration could have done sarah, i have to stop you again. No, sarah, i have to stop you. That is simply not true. All the articles you just mentioned not one says President Trump ordered a wiretap. President obama. One of them based on Anonymous Sources say there might have been a Court Ordered fisa denied by the former director of National Intelligence, James Clapper. Look i love how Anonymous Sources dont matter. Weve been dealing with them and having to fight back against that for the last six months. Its funny how the media hold on a second. Even if that one is true, even if that one is true that is saying there was a Court Ordered wiretap, not an illegal wiretap ordered by president obama. Look, it would have been under this administration, george. You dont get to just wash your hands of something whether its the Justice Department under which you control, which would have fallen under this administration and under this past president. I think the bigger question here is lets let the house intelligence sarah, that is simply not true. They committed over the weekend hold on a second. That is not true. There is a world of difference between an illegal wiretap ordered by a president and Court Ordered wiretap approved by a federal judge. There is a world of difference between those two things. Done is a story that we should be talking about, george. And all were asking is that we let congress do its job. Lets let the House Intelligence Committee review this, investigate it as they committed to do over the weekend. Look, there have been a constant allegations the hypocrisy on this is absolutely outrageous. We have dealt with for the last six months where the New York Times calls this story false. The fbi cops out and says its bs. The House Intelligence Committee says theres no evidence yet the people in the media continue to report a false narrative that there are connections between the Trump Campaign and the russians when there simply arent. All were asking is the same fair deal that the House Intelligence Committee is given the opportunity to investigate, review this and see if theres anything there. Which we believe there is. It is not a fact that this has been done. You do not know this is a fact its been done and that has been denied by president obama, the former director of National Intelligence and know it as well by the fbi they are all saying it did not happen. So is the president calling all through of those individuals liars . Not at all. Hes asking that we allow the House Intelligence Committee to do its job. The same way we have done on our situation is very interesting, george, how when this past president says its false, everybody is like, oh, well, obviously it is. But when weve been saying it for the last six months nobody believes it. Frankly, george, i think if the president walked across the potomac the media would report he cant swim. This is a constant battle were having to fight. All were asking is that the double standard be washed away and we allow the Congressional Committee to do their job. Sarah, the president made these allegations 48 hours ago. Has he called the fbi director since he made those allegations and asked if they were true . I dont know that he has talked directly with the fbi director, but i do believe that, again, we go back to weve put out a statement asking we allow congress to do its job and of this. The president administers the Justice Department and the intelligence agencies. He can find out for himself and he can ask his fbi director if this is true and ask his Justice Department if this is true. He can ask the director of National Intelligence if this is true. Has he done that . Look, i dont know that actually that is the case, george. From my understanding is that there is a process that this has to follow and in order to go through that process, the first step is a congressional review and thats what ears asking to take place rate now. But bottom line the president does not accept the fbi directors denial . I dont know that he has gotten a firm denial from the fbi. He does not accept the reporting that the fbi director has said this did not happen. Does the president accept that or not . The president wants the truth to come out to the American People and he is asking that it be done through the House Intelligence Committee and that that be the process that we go through. Youve got the president of the United States accused his predecessor and by implication the fbi of committing a felony, the fbi director saying the president of the United States isnt telling the truth. The problem is that this Current Administration is making it sound like were all relying on media reports, that there is no way to determine what actually happened when, of course, there is. As you asked the question, he could go ask the fbi director, there are other things question do. By the way he can also declassify information if he so chooses so if he wants to prove this, he very well may be able to do it and the other thing is to keep calling it the Obama Administrations wiretap. Right . Were explain the difference between the two kinds of wiretaps. First lets talk about the fact that its the same fbi director, right, who is there now who was there before so the Obama Administration fbi guy is right now. And thats the same guy who did the Hillary Clinton investigation who many people believe sent out a letter that harmed Hillary Clintons campaign. If thats the Obama Administration doing that, that seems pretty odd. Now, when were talking about investigations we talked a lot about this fisa court, right . Thats the question is did the fisa court approve it. A fisa court is a foreign intelligence gathering court, thats all they do. They dont investigate crimes and you need some level of proof, you need to be able to prove probable cause in order to get that kind of warrant. Even the former director of National Intelligence saying that didnt happen. Interesting you said comey is the fbi director right now and you are chief white house correspondent. You have been seeing all this come down today. Whats your take . Look, i think comey is an absolutely untenable situation. He has come out now privately played out on the front pages of the New York Times and private request to the Justice Department to publicly apparently the Justice Department has not gone along with that. Remember, the attorney general has recused himself so it would go to the acting Deputy Attorney general, but, look, if they are not going to come out what is comey going to do . Is he going to come out himself on his own unilaterally or is he going to resign . It seems to be that big an issue. As i understand it the way this request went from comey from the Justice Department was, making the case that this claim undermines the very credibility of the fbi and the Justice Department to have the plic think they would do Something Like this. He wants this refuted thats it right there. Oh, by the way the travel ban. We would have been talking about that more so than we are right now but it is as expected a nun one to come out any time. This is big and told it will come out this morning. A new travel ban. Im told it will replace the old travel ban. Its going to be narrowed, a little less chaotic, it will not apply to permanent legal residents, its also only going to apply to six pre iraq no longer on the list. One other question from this weekend, it certainly appears from all of our reporting the president in kind of a boiling rage all weekend long. Absolutely outraged at this story. It wont go away. Outraged that his own attorney general recused himself. There was a blowup in the west wing, in the oval office, you see some of the pictures there, steve bannon, part of that meeting. The president brought the senior staff in. He is outraged and thats how this and thats the context where this all happened. In the middle of all this, here at home, a new test for President Trump on the world stage. North korea firing several missiles, their second round in less than a month. Strategic command was tracking those missiles and quickly assured americans that there was no danger to the homeland and overnight the state department condemned the the four missiles were not believed to be Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles but did travel some 600 miles before landing in the water between japan and the korean peninsula. Regardless of the fact they were not icbms these launches appear to show progress by the North Koreans towards their goal of perfecting a missile capable of hitting the u. S. President trump has vowed that north korea will not get a Nuclear Capable missile that could strike the u. S. Its unclear how he would stop them. A scandal involving nude photos is rocking the marine corps. Over the weekend as unknown number of current and former marines shared naked photos of female marines online shared on a hard drive which included the womens names and units. The photos offline and the military is now investigating. And there are fears this morning of a chemical attack in iraq. Both the u. N. And the red cross say isis appears to have used a chemical agent in mosul. More than a dozen people have already shown symptoms, mostly women and children. If confirmed the attack would constitute a war crime. Well, chicago just spent six days without a single murder. That is the longest period without a murder in more than four years. There have also been fewer murders so far this year than at this point last year. And new video showing a tractor trailer violently look at that jackknifing at high speed across four lanes of traffic in houston. Even after we realized he was king of pop even to this day i dont think it holds the same weight to us that it does to other people because he was our father, our dad, our daddy, whatever you want to call him, but the i guess when we realized i when we saw videos of him performing, we were out of the country at the time watching some videos of his performances and ive been used to seeing most females pass out when they see their artist and they get they get very emotional but what blew my mind when i saw these big muscle bound dudes fainting and having to be dragged out. So i was like okay, theres Something Else going on exactly. What would your father i mean you have your sister who has got her modeling career off and running. How would he help you and what would he say about your endeavors, his childrens endeavors right now. I mean as we were growing up, my dad always said, i really dont care what you do in life as long as youre happy doing it and youre the best at what you do. If you want to be a janitor at a high school be the best janitor you can. He would be the supporting figure to me and my siblings and support us in all we try. Would he support that beard. Police say the man in this Surveillance Video lurking around a hotel lobby is a registered sex offender wanted for multiple assaults in three states. But thanks to this hotel worker who fought back, the alleged attacker is now behind bars. Scary moments caught on tape as this masked man creeps around the lobby of an omaha hotel stealthily walking the hauls and peering around corners. Just after 3 00 a. M. Wednesday a female employee gets up from a back office, the alleged assailant springs into action as the two struggle, police say he tries to bathroom but thee scheidts back and even manages to pull the mask off his face. He flees but then comes back to retrieve his mask from the woman who deputies say was on the phone with 911. Deputies say when he entered the lobby again without his mask they got a glimpse of his face. Police say the suspect is 29yearold zachery lee person. This morning investigators are crediting the Brave Hotel Worker for their success in identifying person. All because she was able to rip off that mask. Drop your center of gravity. Reporter hours after the Hotel Incident police in sioux city, iowa, says person was involved in a similar incident at a college where a man on campus exposed himself in a womens bathroom. Person is currently behind bars with a Million Dollar bond awaiting sentencing in a different case. The most vulnerable are not who you think they are. They looked at thousands of scams and found men are more vulnerable than women but what is more surprising seniors who we tend to think would be the most vulnerable to scams are actually less vulnerable than 18 to 24yearolds who are three times as likely. Three times. Three times as likely as susceptible to scams as seniors. That is surprising. What are the top three scams . So, there are a number of scams out there. The top three, employment scams, these are scams where youre hired on the spot. You think youve gotten a job on the spot. They tend to ask you for money up frouptsz and say its for training purposes. Never fall for that one. Check scams. These are fake check scams oftentimes theyre overpayments, right . So theyll come to you and say, oh, we accidentally put too much mo amount. This oftentimes happens if youre an online seller and sell stuff online. Ive heard about it happening to a number of Small Businesses and then Home Improvement scams. These happen oftentimes after big storms. The Storm Chasers come out and go doortodoor and say, hey, im here to deliver you service. I can give you a low, low rate. It tends to be not that low rate that theyre offering. Taking advantage of people when vulnerable like that. And they give any advice on what people can do. We saw this a lot during hurricane sandy, unfortunately, it is, robin, like you said when people are most vulnerable. Look out for cash only deal. If they offer a deal and say the only way we can deliver this to your home is cash only. Consider walking the other way. High up front payments. Give us all the money up front well do the work afterwards. They have trust that deal. You want to work with somebody who is going to accept money along the way as they complete the job and then finally, the handshake deals. Sadly a lot of these people will go doortodoor and the scammers will go doortodoor in neighborhoods after one of these terrible incidents hike a hurricane sandy, theyll go doortodoor, handshake only. For her to come out and say this has been hard for me, she had a hard time with that. How do you address the guilt factor . Women need to let that misconception go because, look, you would get help for any other medical problem, right . Postpartum depression is a medical problem and should be treated like one she is still experiencing some symptoms but says shes starting to fee better after finally getting the help she needs. Writing, more than anything i want to have enough energy for luna. As she gets older shes becoming more and more fun. Her eyes are getting so wide and i want to be there for those wide eyes. And chrissy says despite her struggles she still reflects on how lucky she truly is. She still helps to give luna a few siblings saying even postpartum depression hasnt changed that. When you think about Mental Health and mental illness, theres so much stigma involved that people dont want to talk about it. They feel bad that its something that theyre suffering so when someone famous talks about it seemingly always perfection. Life looks perfect. It gives permission for others to say, wow, i may have this too. Opens up a dying lo. I know when i had my first child, nobody was talking about it. This was 15 years ago, it just wasnt as comfortable to talk about and i didnt know why was i crying every day for three weeks. This should be the most joyful time and now its okay to say, hey, were in this together and there is a reason and theres also a physical side of it as well which i was surprised to learn about. She described all of these physical symptom, the headaches, body aches, with all types of depression, thats pretty common. Many will experience physical what gets them in to see the doctor. They think that they feel down and hopeless because of the physical, theyll come in for the physical and a doctor who is with it will do screening and see actually you have some depression going on. How do they do that. There are a couple of questions that doctors should always ask their patients, whether theyre coming in for a physical or anything else, the first one is in the past month how often have you felt sad and hopeless . All right. Then the second one is in the past month how often have you had no interest in things that you used to bring you pleasure . Those are the great screening questions and you ask yourself and ask those around you, and if its very frequently for those, that could be a sign that you have something going on. I think a lot of women would say im just exhausted. This is not ill blow it off. Not about me and put themselves last. Thats right. Thats right. When you think about the time of childbirth. Everyone has this fancy its going to be the most wonderful thing. As a pediatrician you see this. But early on, 80 blues where theyre feeling down and overwhelmed but here were talking about something much more extensive. If you have these symptoms, this hopelessness, you have 0 get seen and get evaluated. I want to go back to the baby blues. You just crave your mom and you just you love her and she made you and she gave you everything so we yeah, navigating rough waters. But i am really turbulent. I didnt know why he could buy a gun so i wanted to help close the loopholes so that severely mentally ill people couldnt would have more trouble buying guns which is not in a great position right now. Might get easier. Im with them for the long haul and work with every town for gun safety so im going to use my voice to do what i can. You sure do. The least i can do. I felt like i should initily story because when you read an inspirational motivational book you want to know why youre trusting that person that wrote it and a lot of us just read the books because youre traveling and you buy the book in the airport and just start reading it but i felt like i wanted everybody to know the truth and i was sitting at the time in my rigorous truth for almost ten years with my sobriety and the addiction part to me was really what got me to this place and my students when i look at that video it makes me so happy and proud because what we do in that room and all the energy and the excitement and the motivation and the spirituality comes out in the book. I was trying for years to figure out how will i get this class into Middle America that doesnt have soulcycle. Like how am i going to reach those people. I love i reach 10,000 people a year but i want to reach 10 Million People. I want to reach the world. I want everybody to feel as good as we do every day. Youre leading make my mess my message. Youo about your time in hollywood and the aha moment you had that shook you. You so many mantras. Thats what i love. Theres so many mantras and let me see if i get this right. Eat eat, love, train, repeat. Eat, love, train, repeat. Eat, love, tape, repeat. Thats what we do every day. The most important thing though is that you love yourself. And its so cliche like i love myself but there are ways to love yourself and there are ways to make messages and notes to yourself and write things down and check the boxes off and a lot of people dont even know how to start. Its like we brush our teeth every day and dont realize this is something that i do it four types a day but its something that you do every day and being fit and having a mantra to yourself like i can do this. I wake up in the morning. Take a deep breath. Take on the day. So grateful for my life and i want everybody to feel as good as i do. So ive found a way. You have to change the way you think in order to change the y thats one thing i say about myself. Sometimes youre feeling that you know theres some people that are watching and you alluded to it that soulcycle is not in every city and other people even say like, you know, its just not for me. I cant be motivated. I cant exercise. What do you say to those people to get them moving. Thats who this book is for. This book is for people who are just they just cant spark they cant get that spark. They cant get all you need is a little something. When you read the book youll be so inspired by all the stories. Also stories of some of my students in there. There are stories of how can you go from zero which is why i named the book that, i say that every day, two turns from zero to all my students. They take some resistance and put it on. We are two turns from zero in changing our life. You literally can make a right turn and another right turn and turn it around. It is you have to mentally snap in, not snap out when someone says snap out of it. I dont like that i dont want someone to snap out. I want someone to lock in. You got to lock into your life. Lock in with should we do it . Should we do it . Okay. Everybody needs to stand up. Lets turn some music on, i hi. Can we have some music for stacey. Mr. Music, please. Oh, i feel it. I hear it. Whoa okay, so every day you can just get some serotonin flowing by moving your body and alternate this and do a little Shoulder Press with it. This is what i call the overhead compartment move for when you travel. It makes you stronger. Follow me watch. Whoop. Ah. Right. Now, see, whats happening your brain is releasing serotonin and the body follows the mind. Its not the other way around so being fit you will be fit. But you also describe an active meditation. Yes, i mean its called the breath of joy and basically you go. Ah. Now, you guys do it. Were trying to give you it. Ah. Try it, lara. Okay. Why not. And basically what it says, gives you energy and makes you happy and gets you there pretty quick. How would you best describe meditation to meme at home . Basically its like this. This is called meditation in a jar. So your mind is and the glitter represents your thoughts and your feelings so when were stressed or were in a rush our brains look like this. I love that. But when we stop, right and we slow down and breathe, just breathe in slowly. They start to dissipate. That did a beautiful thing. It really just signals to your brain everything is okay and then it settles down and becomes clear and thats what happens to your brain on meditation. When you do things like this active meditation which is something that everybody can do in your office how many do you do . How soon do you feel a sense of calm . You can in 16 seconds completely shift your state and you can also sit for 45 minutes. I mean i love also using essential oils, essential oils are great mood shifters. Lets talk about them. A lot of people everyone has some essential oils with them. I want everyone to take your hands, rub them together with essential oils in them. Smell your hands, take a deep breath. Ill ask you what do you smell in yours . Calm, relaxing. Focus. Lavender. We have some for you actually. This is the lavender oil which is great and makes you calm and it also helps with sleep and jesse you were smelling this, right . How does this make you feel. This orange makes me feel happy. It reminds me of Little League baseball when the moms would bring oranges at the end. That was the greatest. And thats what it does to your brain. Its the essential oil of happiness and peppermint.
