both men face up to twenty years in prison ... now to our big story at four... a 16 year olds death is ruled a homicide after his body was found in a west side neighborhood alley. fox six's julie collins is live near 38th and park hill road with the latest - julie? it was down this alley where neighbors say they heard commotion and then gun shots. milwaukee police said the victim - 16 year old, travon overton -- was found wound. his body was found between this garage and trash cans -- you can see a bullet hole in the side of this garage. neighbors say first responders were out here for several hours trying to revive the boy without success. this all happened around 10:30 thursday morning. we spoke to several neighbors who didnt want to be identified but here is what one person told me about this tragedy: anything to do with our neighborhood, i didnt know the young man.' there are no suspects in custody. and the circumstances leading up to the shooting are unclear at this time as milwaukee police continue their investigation. reporting live on milwaukees west side. julie collins. fox 6 news. brad thanks julie. the employee suspected of murdering his boss, has formally been charged. jason small is accused first degree intentional homicide as party to a crime, use of a dangerous firearm by a felon, in connection with the shooting death of donald lewis. according to a criminal complaint, small is seen on surveillance removing an object from 'underneath the counter...where lewis kept his firearm.' and is seen on camera following 'lewis into the kitchen on top of the basement stairs.' he then 'appears to remove money from the till..and later emerges from the basement carrying a black bag. "i would just ask him why why did you feel the need to harm a man that was no threat to you at all. my father was a very sweet gentle kind man a great soul great spirit all he wanted to do was the through his music an give back as much as he can." family members are still struggling to del with what happened. lewis who suffered 4 gunshot wounds was later found underneath boxes in basement. lewis will be laid to rest tomorrow. donald trump will not make a campaign stop in west allis next monday. a trump spokesman says a scheduling conflict led to the presidential candidate canceling his event at state fair park. the event in green bay for monday is still on. it's the second time a trump event in wisconsin has been canceled in recent days. trump was originally scheduled to attend a rally last weekend paul ryan disinvited him. for hillary clinton, her husband bill and president obama were campaigning for the democratic candidate for president. president obama was in the key battleground state of ohio where early voting is underway. right now, the buckeye state is nearly even in the presidential race. the most recent real clear politics poll of ohio shows clinton leading trump by a slim margin. senator ron johnson and challenger russ feingold will face off tonight. bay. fox 6's ashley sears is live there with a preview of tonight's event. this is the first debate between the two this election season. but they are not strangers--they squared off on the debate stage six years ago. the latest marquette law school poll shows the race is close--within the margin of error. feingold is holding a two point lead over senator johnson. johnson has tried painting the while feingold has been trying to portray johnson as "out-of-touch" with wisconsin. the two will not only take questions tonight from a four person panel, but also from voters on social media. the debate begins tonight at 7--and will be live on fox 6.. live in green bay, ashley sears fox 6 news. brad thanks ashley. house speaker paul ryan speaking to college republicans in madison today. today, discussing the 2016 election. the republican delivered a 20-minute speech without mentioning donald trump. instead emphasizing the risks that come with hillary clinton and the democratic party winning both the white house and control of congress. brown deer police are hoping for help in locating the suspects responsible for attacking a woman inside a walmart. the woman's injuries are minor, but the bigger concern involves her pregnancy. justin williams is live, near 61st and brown deer road, with more. justin? this story has some folks questioning humanity, today, after a woman says the fact that she is just weeks away from her due date does not prevent two, women from putting her pregnancy in danger. safe. we, normally, don't have random instances of random beatings, like this. but, thursday night, just before 10, inside this walmart, at 61st and brown deer road, what happens is nowhere near normal. this was just an isolated incident where this victim, you know, was, unfortunately, at the wrong place, at the wrong time. the victim, fox 6 has learned, is a 27- year-old woman who tells fox 6 she is just store's electronics section, riding a motorized wheelchair, when two, unidentified women accuse her husband of walking too close to one suspect's brother. the females were out-- lookin' for trouble, and, maybe, they used that as an excuse to start trouble. at this point, the victim says a suspect throws a d-v-d at her, and a physical assault begins-- with the suspects, allegedly, striking the victim, multiple times. she was taken to the hospital, and treated. the two, female unidentified male suspect, then, run out of the store-- fleeing in what is described as a blue, 2004 dodge intrepid. they lead police on a brief chase, but the pursuit is canceled, after speeds exceed 100 miles-per-hour. because the vehicle's stolen, we don't know who was driving, who the occupants were ... we don't know who the females were, in the store, or the male that was with them. brown deer police say they're looking for two female suspects, both of one is said to be heavy-set, with blue and black hair, a blue jacket, and black pants with high, gray socks. the second is described as slim, with a black and white sweater, and blue jeans. a male suspect is also being sought. all three are believed to be in their teens. if you have any information which may benefit this investigation, you're encouraged to contact brown deer police. this is thel deer. i'm justin williams, fox 6 news. steph thanks justin. how to remove lead from milwaukee's water supply... that was the main focus of a water quality task force meeting in downtown milwaukee today. as lead finds its way into the city's drinking water supply -- milwaukee officials are looking for ways to fix it. they talked about replacing pipes leading to older properties that are more at risk. it quickly became a discussion of how the project would be funded. and while a big chunk would be picked up by the state -- a would very much like to have an active relationship with the state on this. they certainly have a financial capacity that the city doesn't in our current revenue structure and that is a partnership we're going to have to rely on." for now -- officials recommend using water filters. the united way and area hospitals have teamed up to offer 75-thousand dollars to help buy filters for those who need them take a look at this incredible video. it shows an 18-wheeler dangling fort worth texas. police say the truck nearly dropped into the river after it hit a guard rail along the interstate. luckily, there was no road under the bridge and there were no reports of injuries. an investigation is underway after shots are fired at police headquarters building in indianapolis. it happened last night around 11 p-m at the indianapolis metropolitan police department's north district headquarters. there were two officers inside the building at the time of the shooting. neither officer was injured. police say the shooting could be retaliation for law enforcement's success in are very upset with the amount of arrests and narcotics and drug money we've taken off the street this summer. that is something we know that's a chatter among some of the drug dealers in the community. but, can we say that's the reason this occurred? no. is that a possibility? absolutely." the shooting is the second in ten days on an indianapolis metropolitan police district headquarters. police believe the two shootings are related. this news may not come as a surprise... but wells fargo isn't opening nearly as the scandal-ridden bank says...the number of consumer checking accounts opened plunged by 25-percent in last month -- compared to last year. this all after the bank admitted to opening more than two-million fake accounts since 20-11. earlier this week, longtime c-e-o john stumpf abruptly decided to retire. ted perry joins us now from the news room with some stories coming up on fox six news at five. she caught on her home surveillance camera. a car speeds around a stopping school bus, just feet from her kids. at five, the reason police won;t do anything about it. also, another creepy clown scare - this time, at a local daycare - of all places. at five, the not-so-funny outcome of this latest incident. those stories and more are coming up next on fox six news at five! a lot of businesses like to boast about the type of person they hire. theres one car dealership on the northwest side that can make a truly unique claim: had an employee honored by the city...for helping save someones life. a.j. bayatpour has their story... in a room full of first responders... christine gaspardo fits right in. not only because she was an e-m-t for 15 years. she was lying on the sidewalk right here. back in february, gaspardo was working the desk at hart auto when a frantic customer ran in. all i could get from him wa on the sidewalk, an unconscious woman. gaspardo knew she had overdosed. she was very thin and they have that sunken-in look in their face. christine did c-p-r until the rescue crew got there with narcan. the woman was saved. im just like a proud father. its not the first time one of larry rowells employees helped save someone. in january 2015, a fire raged in a house just a few doors down. luke czuma choo-mah larry when they heard a kid was trapped inside. something told me the kid was gonna be in the last room on the left-hand side and i crawled all the way through the hallway, opened the door, seen the kid there. he was yelling the kids in here! the kids in here! but the fire shot in my face. i had to get out of there. luke was able to give firefighters the boys location. the five-year-old survived. we were just the right people at the right time, you know. once again, a hart auto employee is honored at the fire departments awards ceremony. shaking hands with the mayor and fire chief, reluctant to call herself a hero. its in my blood. you just react, you just do. another treat for gaspardo, her father flew in thursday from florida to surprise her he sat by her side during the ceremony she says all she wants now is the opportunity to someday meet the woman she helped save back in february. reporting from outside milwaukee's police and fire academy, a.j. bayatpour, fox 6 news. students at a middle school in of "national farm to school month". students at horace mann middle school enjoyed crunchy apples while learning about the importance of growing food locally and healthy eating. the goal of the annual event is to encourage students to include fruits and vegetables in their regular diets. higar says: "it's important number one they're filling their stomachs up with fruits and vegetables that always adds to the proteins and starches that we have in our meals and it's just a well-balanced meal." the school purchased more than four-hundred apples to celebrate the event. coming up -- the incredibly rare surgery that could mean a new life for not one -- but two infants in new york. plus -- a man our contact six has followed for years -- is now in trouble with the law. the shady business practices that ended up catching up to him.... here's a live look outside right now. ad lib what you see weather expert stephanie barichelleo is lesson. a local contractor is evidence of that. despite being the focus of two stories and several contact 6 complaints - he's now in trouble with the law. contact 6's jenna sachs joins us with the details. an area contractor that contact 6 has been following for two years is now facing criminal charges. we first introduced you to jeff baum back in 2014. at the time, he'd done work on the home of a high-school friend. the work wasn't done right and contact 6 stepped in to help. baum promised us he would makes things right. "people make mistakes and i didn't expect it to go this far. it was the last one." while baum fixed the issues at this home - the problems continued with others. contact 6 has continued to get complaints about baum not completing work, doing poor work and just not showing up. he was even featured for second time in a contact 6 story. but that didn't stop baum from continuing his practices and that's caught up with him. in waukesha county. according to the criminal complaint -- a mequon man paid baum 5-thousand- dollars to paint the outside of a rental home and build a retaining wall. the project was never complete. the complaint also states that baum never provided a written contract. baum is also facing two misdemeanor charges in connection with the case. as a reminder -- keep a few things in mind if you're looking to hire a contractor: always research the person or company before you start business with them. yo call the better business bureau ... or wisconsin consumer protection to see if there's any complaints. if a person or company signs on to do work - get everything in writing. there should always be a contract. make sure that contract includes a complete description of the work, list of materials, the start and end and a full price. don't sign it..if you don't understand it. also -- do not pay for the entire job upfront. while some contractors may require a percentage of the payment before...you shouldn't pay for a job in full before it contractor has a license. jeff baum does not. brad and stephanie back to you. thanks jenna!
