tonight's big story - he turned himself in. the driver suspected of causing a triple- fatal crash is now in police custody. the crash killed three women visiting from the chicago area. their uber driver is still recovering. fox6s bret lemoine is live downtown with more about all those involved in this terrible accident. the mi examiners report indicates none of the three women were wearing a seatbelt. the driver, however, was buckled up. its the kind of sight... dm 'one was like, smashed and crushed up - the other was really bad.' ...demone da-mone madison wishes he could forget. from he heard sundays fatal crash at 2-nd and clybourn. dm 'a big boom. a big crash. like something just exploded.' according to the milwaukee county medical examiners office, three women from the chicago area died after the uber they were riding in was struck by a lexus. it happened at around 2-45 sunday morning as they were headed to a hotel. police say the lexus blew a red light and smashed into the uber, a ford fusion. investigators say two men in the lexus ran from the scene after impact... the suspected driver, a in to police monday afternoon. 30-year old ashley sawatzke, 35-year old lindsey cohen and 32-year old amy taylor were all in the backseat of the car and died as a result of the wreck. all three worked together at a chicago advertising agency until earlier this year. in a statement, a company spokeswoman tells us: 'we are absolutely devastated by the loss of these three incredible, exuberant were not naming the suspect until hes charged. we've learned that he has a history of drunk driving and driving with a revoked license. we stopped by his home tonight-- and were told "no comment." reporting live at mpd, bl, fox6 news. mary thanks bret a go fund me dot com account has been set up for the uber driver hurt in this horrible crash. if you'd like to make a donation -- you'll the "links" page at fox six now dot com -- or your fox six news mobile app. now to a fox6 exclusive... hes safe. after being abducted -- during an alleged auto theft last night -- a toddler is back with his mother. but, not without a critical contribution from a milwaukee man. justin williams spoke exclusively with the neighbor who helped find the boy. i notice him, right here, and he just inched-up, here, and he parked, here, like, diagonally. around 6 p-m sunday evening, and he was just about to drive away from the 5600 block of north 39th street, in milwaukee, when he noticed an unfamiliar kia ... followed by an unfamiliar honda s- u-v. the driver door opened, on the kia, and the passenger door opened, on the honda s-u-v, you know, so i dont know what kinda transaction was goin on. sullivan said he waited.. and watched the kia driver. he jum jumped into the passenger seat, and they stormed down 39th street. sullivan then went to a relatives house. nearly two hours later, he, and others, received an amber alert. they looked at me and was like, didnt you just tell us this story? i was like, lemme call my mom and see if the vehicles still out there. then she looked out here. i said, call the police. dont go to the vehicle, cuz theres a baby in there. the baby was 15-month old taratino carter, whose mother, milwaukee police say, left him in her running vehicle, as she went inside a convenience store, suspect stole the vehicle, with the baby inside. the car got this far, before being abandoned. i dont think thats heroic. i think thats, um, thats human instinct, and i think thats what any, natural human being, responsible human being, shoulda done, if they even notice somethin, like that. i'm told the baby was unharmed, and asleep, when he was discovered in the vehicle. in fact, it must have been a pretty sound sleep, because, im told a neighbor checked the vehicle, and thought the baby was a doll. meanwhile, they continue searching for a suspect, this afternoon. this is the latest, in milwaukee. im justin williams, fox 6 news. a violent day in our area. police responding to multiple shootings. officers are searching for suspect after a homicide today near 24th and auer. officials say the victim was shot during a fight with the suspect. and a suspect is in custody for a homicide this afternoon near 11th and wright. police say a 23-year-old man was shot by a 22-year-old man. the motive is unclear. investigating a homicide near 19th avenue and 62nd street. a 33-year-old man was shot shortly after 5 tonight - no one is in custody. and a fourth homicide has rocked a north side milwaukee neighborhood. a tavern owner is found dead inside his bar at 35th and silver spring.. our a.j. bayatpour - spoke with his relatives. a.j. joins us live with more. family members say the victim of this shooting is michael at pride in the fact he was able to open a business. a number of people gathered at the scene earlier say that was their neighborhood bar and mike was a big reason why... he always said he wanted to be an entrepreneur, he wanted to own his own and he saved enough money and thats what he did. as the sun sets beyond the intersection of 35th and silver spring monday, the neon 'open' sign comes on at this corner are a murder investigation and the wounded hearts of mike patton's family. the relatives say just on saturday, mike hosted a family gathering at the bar. they was out there barbecuing on the grill back there and he was saying mama, im thinking about going to ohio and i said go, i want you to go, leave here. milwaukee police say that dream ended a little before 1:30 in the afternoon. someone shot and killed patton, the oldest of three. hes my big brother. im the only girl. he was very bossy, making sure i was always straight. making sure- im the only girl so he patton says through the years, the two siblings remained very close. every day, every day, i talk to my brother every day. he knows i love him and i tell him i love him every day. relatives suspect someone tried to rob patton as he opened the bar. just for a little money? 'cbt; cognitive behavioral therapy has the best evidence thats been effect for other clients that look very similarly with both adolescents and adults i dont see any reason why it wont be effective here.' dr. henry schmidt; psychologist with behavioral affiliates there are plans to use this model for a new juvenile residential treatment facility in milwaukee county. 'its important to have an array of treatment availability for youth depending on their needs.' the county says this future facility is a "must" after ?witnessing poor treatment of youth offenders at lincoln juvenile justice center. 'we see that by developing the capacity for a residential program within our continuum it will allow us to eventually reduce our population of youth in secure settings.' the ?idea of building a facility has not yet been approved by the county board... so specifics -- like where such a facility would be built-- or how many juveniles it could help at any one time-- these are still questions that need to be ?sorted out. julie collins fox 6 news. they say thomas clod-felter is an inmate at the sturtevant transitional facility. he walked away from a work release site late last night. clodfelter is 59 tall, and 186 pounds. if you know anything on his whereabouts - contact law enforcement immediately. a 14-year-old milwaukee boy is killed after crashing a stolen vehicle in fox valley. grand chute police say about 11-30 last night-- they spotted a vehicle from a reckless driving case - and began chasing it.. once the pursuit reach backed off. that's when the driver lost control and crashed into a light pole at an i-hop restaurant. investigators say the teen had stolen his uncle's car in oshkosh. waukesha police arrest an 11-year- old boy for posting threatening messages, posing as a creepy clown. it happened earlier this month at hawthorne elementary. police say someone using the username "creepy clown 1-2-3" threatened to bring weapons to school. anonymously. police seized a school-issued "eye"- pad as part of its investigation. they are now working with juvenile authorities. thousands of pounds of prescription drugs sorted and sent off to the incinerator. it is all a part of last weekend's "drug take back" event in wisconsin. people could take their drugs to 127 pop-up drop-off locations. the goal is to get unused and expired prescription and over-the-counter medications out of homes so they don't end up in the water supply or the wrong hands. officials addicted to prescription drugs get them from friends or family.
