anything about a possible motive. this woman's family is here to support her in court. they released a statement a few moments ago. they said, "we are thankful that lyndon, the two-year-old who was kidnapped from her home is improving and wish her and her family complete healing in every way. our thoughts and prayers are with them. we also will continue to care for abby whom we love very privacy. now, the 21-year-old abigail hanna is charged with kidnapping, assault and battery and breaking and entering. hanna allegedly burned the girl with a cigarette. shenly baby-sat the two-year-old and her sister a few times, according to the "boston herald." police say hanna broke into the home early friday morning and took lyndon. lyndon was found hours later eight miles away on the side of the road in rowley. her head was shaved. as she was naked and shivering. she had an injury on her fore head as well. lyndon was released from the hospital yesterday. her parents thanked everyone through a statement that they released earlier today, including everybody who searched for her and the couple who found her. spotted her on the side of the road. they stopped and alerted investigators. again, abigail hanna, 21-year-old former baby-sitter two this two-year-old girl. she is set to be arraigned here in court momentarily. >> jadiann: an animal shelter goes up in flames. this in paxton. dogs and cats from the burning building. unfortunately, they were not able to save most of the animals. byron barnett has the very latest on this deadly fire. >> i can't even say how i feel right now. they are my animals. they are my babies. >> reporter: heart-broken workers at the animal shelter in paxton. a raging fire rips through their building, killing dozens of animals. shelter officials say 17 dogs and 39 cats were inside. they say only two cats and four dogs survived. and that one of those dogs may not make it. >> i'm devastated. i really don't have words. i'm not thinking straight here. >> reporter: dick clark, a retired animal control officer who used to bring strays to his home founded the shelter in 2001. >> living on the street, they are abused. they are beaten. all kinds of things that they don't deserve to be out there. and we try to help get them in, get them home where they belong. >> they are more than just shelter animals. i take a lot of these cats in that are ferals. i work with them for months so get them human-trusting again. one of the cats that was in there, it took me two years to touch him. and the dogs, they are my family. >> reporter: the shelter manager says all the animals here were up for adoption. except for four cats. they were boarding them for a homeless veteran. now she has to deliver the bad news to the vet that three of his cats perished in the fire. >> i have to send somebody to the veteran's shelter tomorrow in worcester so they can get ahold of him and let him know. my records are burned. i don't have his phone number. >> reporter: officials say they will definitely rebuild. they know it will be tough because they are a nonprofit organization that relies on donations. and right now, they need all the testimony in the philip chism murder trial. and they actually just wrapped for the day a short time ago. the judge dismissing the jury now until after the thanksgiving holiday. prosecutors building a very meticulous time line. trying to prove first-degree murder while defense attorneys want the jury to believe that philip chism is criminally insane. philip chism's defense attorney wants jurors to think about the teen murder suspect's actions. showing them this picture of chism, seemingly staring into the camera wheeling a recycling bin into the bathroom moments after prosecutors say he rapest and murdered colleen ritzer. they showed further pictures. chism sometimes covering his face. other times, not. insanity. but prosecutors asked this there could have been a deliberate reason for philip chism... >> a teenage girl who walked into the danvers high school bathroom, saying she saw someone naked from the waist down. she ran out thinking it's strange someone was changing their how a man died during an hours-long standoff in norton sunday morning. police were called to the home when neighbors heard a woman screaming. once police arrived, a man had locked himself inside the by a car on north main street. this happened around 6:00 sunday night. the victims both rushed to the hospital with head injuries. right now officials say the 16-year-old suffered significant head
