There you see the state and local police are both investigating and we have learned that this area can only be reached through duxbury. Lets go out to 7s tv steve cooper to tell us what he knows. Reporter kim, thats one of the reasons that duxbury investigators, also the Fire Department and the harbor master are here. Theyre all assisting Plymouth Police in recovering that body late this morning. It was actually construction workers who made this startling discovery late this morning. Police say the body washed ashore on the point. Thats right next to the beach here and police say, well, they wont say tonight whether the body is that of a male or a female and how long they believe the body had been in the water. Again police from plymouth are actually leading this investigation. But we are told that state troopers assigned to the District Attorneys Office here in Plymouth County are helping in this investigation as well. Right now the cause of death remains a mystery at this hour and police are actually awaiting more information from the medical Examiners Office for more details on exactly how this person actually died. And again people around here have been talking all day about the discovery of this body. It creates unsettling moments. Everybody here anxious for answers. All were being told by Plymouth Police investigators is theyre still looking into this. Were live in duxbury tonight, steve cooper, 7 news. Isis is claiming responsibility for two suicide bombings in southern by beirut. The blast damaged several buildings as well. The area has been seeing violence before. Again isis claiming responsibility for suicide attacks in beirut, lebanon. The ntsb announcing it has found the bridge deck of the cargo ship el faro that sank last month. The data recorder would have been attached to the deck. The el faro disappeared near the bahamas during hurricane joaquin. 33 people went down with the ship, including three crew members from massachusetts, as winthrop native keith griffin, and marriott wright. They were all three on board. Were following more news here today at 5 00. A charlestown man facing a judge in a road rage case. 20yearold man pled not guilty. Hes charged with assault agawam with a replica gun on 93 in somerville. Police say that when they pulled him over, they found this replica gun with the orange tip thats usually on it painted black. So it looked more realistic. Hes being held without bail, because of another assault case. Opening statements are just days away now in the case of a local teenager, accused of killing his Danvers High School math teacher. The essex County DistrictAttorney Says the jury is expected to be seated in the case of Phillip Chisholm by tomorrow. And that means the attorneys should be able to make their Opening Statements come monday. Chisholm is accused of raping and killing 24yearold Colleen Ritzer in a bathroom at danvers high in 2013. Also today students at Boston College organized an oncampus protest in solidarity with students at the university of missouri. They dressed up in black clothing to represent the injustices they say students of color face at universities nationwide. Students, staff and faculty attended that demonstration. Todays protests follow the recent events at the university of missouri, where the chancellor and president both resigned. Students there protested the response to racially charged events. Their efforts ignited protests all across this country. And the state education commissioner is recommending new standardized testing for students. The new tests would include items from both the mcass and parcc exams. There would also be specific questions developed for massachusetts. If approved by the board, the test would be given for the first time in the spring of 2017. Cameras rolling during a shocking arrest in virginia. Officers repeatedly using a stun gun on a man, while he is eventually on the ground here. And we can tell you that man later died. It was two and a half years ago, but now the videos are being released that show what happened Ryan Schulteis has more of the investigation. Police say they were bringing 46yearold Lynnwood Lambert to the hospital, because he was ha loose thoughting. But officers say they tased him after he kicked out the cruisers window and ran. Police say he was then tased car. The Department Says he was found hospital. The mans sister is now suing the police, saying they used excessive force. I got up and went to the gravesite and i talked to my brother and i said im sorry. Im so sorry for what they did to you, because i didnt know. Theres no possible justification to taser a man shackled and restrained like this in the back of a police car. Reporter lamberts family is saying the use of the tasers caused his death. More than 100 women are suing the maker of a Birth Control pill, alleging incorrect packaging led to unwanted pregnancy. Some of the plaintiffs in this case are asking the drug maker to pay for the cost of delivering and raising their children. Our Elizabeth Noreika is here with more. Reporter yeah, kim. These women are asking for ms of dollars in damage. The lawsuit claims the pills were mislabeled and the order of the pills inside the packs was reversed. So in case you dont know, heres how the pill works for the first three week, the medicine contains hormones and the last week is just a sugar pill. Essentially you dont need to take that. When the pills were reversed, the women got pregnant. They are demanding the cost of delivering, raising and educating their unplanned children. The Company Voluntarily Recalled the the mislabeled pill in 2011, but many packages had already been used. In the muss in the newsroom, Elizabeth Noreika, 7 news. The faa laser focused. Theyre investigating two instances of lasers being pointed at news helicopters, including a chopper for new york citys local nbc news station. Chopper 4 was on assignment when it was hit by the bright green beams of light. Dangerous distraction recorded. And as 7s Jadiann Thompson shows us, the pilot was quick to report it to police. Reporter the incident took place wednesday night, when a chopper pilot for nbc station new york city. Dont look at it. Reporter suddenly a bright green beam of light lit up the cockpit. Just did it again. Reporter a laser nearly blinding chopper 4 reporter and his pilot as they hovered above brooklyn. You get hit in the face like, that in the eyes and you can go temporarily blind. Reporter he then spotted a group of men who appeared to be targeting not only the nbc chopper, but also a new York Police Department chopper called in to investigate. Yeah. You think this is a joke, huh . Reporter nbc cameras catching police arresting at least one man and detaining two others. It comes after a string of similar incidents at new york city airports earlier this year. Weve got a green laser shooting at us, right off of left wing, about a mile out. Reporter experts say the problem is growing at airports across the country. In 2010, more than 2,800 reports. Last year nearly 3,900. While the suspects appear to think it was all a joke, those inside the aircraft say its no laughing matter. Were talking about a helicopter here that weighs almost two tons. Now each individual shower puts down a quick downpour and, oh, look. Here comes another one coming through watertown now and belmont. Arlington theyre getting wet. So i estimate thats tminus 10 to 15 minutes before that arrives in boston, too. It comes down briefly. But its almost moderate to heavy from time to time. You can see it right here in truro and provincetown. Warmup is in the works overnight tonight. That sets us up for a decent friday forecast. Back to 50 near 60 degrees. And tomorrow our temperatures should climb right close to 60 degrees before we cool things down going into saturday. And then tomorrow 57 to 62. The sevenday forecast showing sunshine for the weekend. But it starts pretty darn cold. Temps in the upper 40s to near 50 degrees on saturday with a gusty wind. And then sunday it calming down. The warming is subtle at first. And then it eventually climbs as we go into the latter half of the week. We get back into the possibly 60s, upper 60s, maybe even near 70 degrees.
