7:00 p.m. the fatate of one more one candidate hangs in the balance. we have --- melody michaels with the -- candace mccowan where rubio is hoping for a game-changer win. a polk county couple reached out after they were told they couldn't vote at their registered location. one on gene king bououlevard. they were told it was closed -- it was a closed republican voting location. it happened earlier this morning as the polls openeded. a handful of democratic voters were almost turned away. push with them to makake phone calls and they had silly excuses as to why it wasn't taken care of. >> workers eventually found democratic ballots in the closet area. believe it or not. so they had to make calls to get that sorted out. eventualally they did. if you have problems at the polls, call 813-221-5788. call us anytime. it is due or die for rubio. without a win in florida tonight, his runun for white house could be over. candace mccowan is in miami where rubio is holding his campaign. >>reporter: the rubio campaign is supposed to begin at 6:00. this is the race to watch. it will be interesting to see if he proves all the polls wrong. and is able to pull off a win here in florida tonight. it would be all changing for his campaign because he's 300 delegates behind trump. as many people are expecting, he'll lose. those what the polls will show. many are seeing if he'll pull out of the race for the white house or carryon. the party tonight here is called a celebration and it will be interesting to see if it's a celebration at all. we'll be here at florida internationalal, countries as well. they are here because trump is the word around the world. florida of course, winner takes all. 99 delegates at hand tonight. it's the biggest prize tonight and into tonight, polls show thatt trump has a double digit lead over senior rubio. rubio needs to win his home state tonight if he wants to cal-- if he wants to salvage his campaign. with trump comes protest. today, you see this is it as far as media goes, but outside, there's a lot of police officers. no protest at all unlike other rallies that was held in chicago with a rally being cancelled and that was friday night, and thursday night, the man being attacked in north carolina. again, no protests here today at least not yet. of course, we'll continue to cover this story at trump headquarters if palm beach. we'll quiet across the southeast, but we're tracking our next system. this front will move closer to us as we move into this weekend. rain chances going up a bit. for now, cooler along the c coast. 70 in c head out. maybe numerous minutes especially if you have to use the sunshine sky way to get to work tomorrow, as i wouldn't be surprised if that had to be closed again. by noon, you can see the late morning hours. most of the fog should clear up, but the sea fog may linger into the afternoon hours. so heads up for all the spring breakers. some beaches could have a few issssues. your weather max forecast, tomorrow we'll show you we'll deal with fog to start the day. temperatures otherwise, v very mild in the upper 60s. by the afternoon hours, we'll top out near 80. we'll see partly cloudy skies in most places, although the sea fog could stick around all day and by the evening hours, still warm in the mid-70s. if you have plans to head out to spring training in sarasota, we have the pirates verses the orioles. it may not get warmer than that in sarasota. in tampa, the blue jays verses the yankees. great evening for baseball. 74 degrees with partly cloudy conditions. here's a look at no rain around, but we have fog along the coast and in the gulf. that's going to stick around and increase during thee overnight hours. your morning commute could be rough, so plan accordingly. set your alarms earlier. you'll likely need it. by lunch time, most is gone except for along the immediate coast and temperatures are really heating up. we'll be back into the low 80s and by thursday, dealing with the sea fog, but you can see along the coast, tracking fog hanging along there and we'll see this intensify again as we do head into the overnight hours. currently, temperatures in inland spots have heated up. you can see we're up to 90 in bartow. 89 in seabring. 84 in lakeland. temperatures milder along the coast with that onshore flow at 77 in st. pete. 79 in clearwater and 75 in venice this afternoon. so for the rest of this evening, in general, temperatures will stay warm in partly cloudy coast, that will start to move inland as we head into the overnight hours. rain chances increasing for us over the next several days. by saint patty's day, we have a 10% chances of rain. the highest chance of rain is as we head into this coming weekend, we'll have the details on the south bringing overr the -- as it moveves onshore you can see that sea fog developing. fairly common this time of year to have periods where we see that. until we see a wind shift that's not going to change. as we head into the weekend, we see our next front. anand this front is going to bring us rain, but it's going t to bring cooler weather, so we're look least one more cool down of the season. into next week, looking at highs in the upper 60s0s. here's a look through this evening. the sea fog after 9:00 p.m. starts to redevelop and it's going to spread inland through the overnight hoursrs. your morning commute could be rough in spots especially along the coast. i wouldn't be surprised to see the sunshine sky way closed for a little bit tomorrow. so plan accordingly as you get ready tonight to head out to work tomorrow. by lunch time, most of the sea fog has receded just along the immediate coast is where we could see that lingering. temperatures for the rest of us reaching into
