afternoon. some of those on the radar, but let's take a look at the tower cam. this is what we saw earlier moving through downtown tampa. this video you can see the rain starting up. we also saw a good amount of lightning across much of the tampa bay area. you can see possibly if we can get some strikes on the tower cam we saw. but we definitely saw some decent rain move in this afternoon and we are still seeing it push east across the tampa bay area on the radar. you are looking at this right now. the red is very heavy rain mead, lakeland. lake wales all dealing with the heavy rain pushing off toward the east. further to the south, we are tracking heavy rain around kinsey. all of it pushing to the east coast of florida. we have linger showers moving through pinellas county and lingering rain on the radar. temperatures in the mid 60s by the time you wake up. mainly dealing with the clouds. most of the rain should have pushed out an temperature ins the upper 60s . so still mild this time of the year. what you will notice, temperatures actually drop as we head into tomorrow afternoon. the winds pick up. it will be breezy. and cool for your sunday. currently, you can see the they moved on shore this afternoon. and are continuing to push east across the tampa bay area. we are dealing with a good amount of lightning within some of these storms as weapon. we will take a closer look at where we are seeing rain. northern counties see the bulk we are going to see. we have moderate rain moving into pine island and pasco county. just some sprinkles left in citrus county. if you are in polk county, we are tracking heavy rain out of lakeland and willow oak. heavy rain, a lot of lightning here at lake wales. this is pushing into the eastern portions of polk county. and then further to the south, we are still tracking some heavy rain around arcade ya. we have a little bit of rain still offshore that could move into pinellas county. so the threats, while the severe threat has started to drop, that pretty much we are seeing rain, the atmosphere has been destabilized. we could have some lightning. a lot of us can see some rain, the hail threat nearly at zero for today. some gusty wind still possible. and that tornado threat low for the rest of this evening. as well. temperatures are holding steady in the upper 60s near 70 at tampa. as we take a step back, you can really see some chilly air that has moved in across the central portions of the u.s. 5 in rapid city. two in bismarck. two in minneapolis, and this cold air is moving in our direction. there is a large high that is built in with the cold air. we are tracking a cold front just off to our west right now. that is what the storms are out ahead of. so, the rain will continue to push inland after midnight. a fairly low rain chance. as you wake up tomorrow morning maybe a light lingering shower in the southern areas. dry sunday. it will be fairly mild in the upper 60s to start the day. but as the northwest winds kick in, they will become breezy into the afternoon hours. back pretty quickly into the mid 60s and then on monday, it will definitely be chilly starts off the day in the 40s . only making it into the low 60s by monday afternoon. we are looking at the coldest air this season moving in. the coldest night at this point has been 48 degrees while tuesday night will drop back into the mid 40s and really, all this week, we will be looking at below average temperatures. i haven't talked about that in a while. we will start off tomorrow in the upper 60s . we will cool off through the day. maybe a lingering shower, but most of the rain we will see is before midnight tonight. then it is dry for most of this week. but notice those temperatures. they are holding steady in the mid 60s . reenforceing cold front rolls through wednesday morning. higher rain chances thursday and friday. but this is different than what we have seen so far this season. >> i know. i was having
