Reporter we know that this search is underway after the coast guard says it got a call from a friend of this man and that friend told officers the area where his missing friend likes to go fishing and gave them his cell phone number. The desperate search to find a boater who vanished in brevard county. Michelle the coast guard discovered his empty boat near the eau gallie bridge. They are searching a 17 mile stretch right now. Wesh 2 s Alex Villarreal arrived on scene just moments ago. Alex, where is the coast guard focusing their efforts . Alex the focus is from Satellite Beach north to jetty park. You can see, we are on the beach right now. We are on the coast. You can see here, there is a warning of possible rip current. We know that there is a weather warning out here. It is a dangerous place and time to be out around the water. The search is underway, after the coast guard said that it got this area, where the man likes to go fishing. The officers pinged the phone, and that is how they were able to locate the man spoke. However, it was empty. The coast guard is now using its own small boat and helicopter to try to find the man. They do not know where he is , but they do say he is in his late 30 s. Again, that search is from Satellite Beach to north jetty park. It stands to about a halfmile offshore. The Florida Wildlife Commission is helping with the search. There were advisories from the National Weather office in melbourne overnight warning about dangerous conditions for small boats in the area through to tuesday morning. It is unclear what caused the driver to go off the road and ignite this fire. The body of the 81yearold was found in his home on saturday night. A neighbor tells us that he was on dialysis, and was unable to drive. Apparently, his daughter in boyfriend and her boyfriend were staying with him, taking care of them. He was ill, not well. But, he was great. He was a nice man. Jazmin investigators tell us that the daughter and the boyfriend took the victims car. It was a 2006 beige tors, and it has not been located just yet. Wildlife officials are counting up the number of pythons killed in south florida. The annual hunt ended last night at 7 00 p. M.
