We were on break for the last ten days, and i hit my target weight which was to gain one pound a day. laughter a little bit of drinking, a little bit of fishing. Dont matter what kind of fish it was because once you deep fry it, cant tell what it is. Speaking of frying, anybody here a fan of burger king . cheers and applause i love the king. Its my favorite foodbased authoritarian government, ever since they stopped making dictatortots. laughter thank you so glad i didnt have to do that by myself, that would have been lonely. laughter and now, burger king is testing a new menu item at combines a whopper and a burrito called laughter its got all the ingredients of the whopper, wrapped up like a burrito. Its great if you love both those foods and hate yourself. laughter really sounds more like a suicide pact more than anything else. The whopperito is currently being tested only for a limited time at select burger kings in pennsylvania. So if youre highlmotivated and ready to get someplace really quick, you are not the target market for the whopperito. laughter im guessing the whopperito is not going to have a lot of hispanic fans. Speaking of which, donald trump. laughter applause donald trump is presently being sued over his fake college, trump university. laughter cheers and applause because, folks, hes got a swingin pair of em. laughter and, evidently, trump doesnt trust the judge in the case for one very mexican reason. laughter i have had horrible rulings. I have been treated unfairly by this judge. Now, this judge is of mexican heritage. Im building a wall. This judge is giving us unfair rulings. Now, i say why. Im building a wall, okay . And its a wall between mexico, not another country. Stephen yes. audience booing , thats important. Between mexico, not another country. Prooat trump doesnt like mexico and cant name another country. Now, the judge in question, gonzalo curiel, was born in the obscure mexican province of indiana. laughter i hope im pronouncing that correctly. So its raised a big question is trump a racist for saying an american cant be trusted because of his heritage . I mean its hard for me to judge trum me want to fight anyone who looks that much like a potato. laughter applause i think i was just racist against myself laughter trumps point is, he cannot be judged by a member of any group hes offended. So that means no mexican judges, judges, no women judges, unless shes a 10. laughter trumps insulted the pope, so no catholic judges. He called everyone in iowa stupid, so no judges that eat corn. You know what . Maybe trump might be more comfortable if he couldnt tell the judges race or gender. Maybe cover the judge up, in an unbiased robe. Make it a white robe. Maybe with a matching hood. In trumps defense, the man he was pointing out was an africanamerican trump supporter. One, it would be polite to learn the guys name. laughter so there are a few lingering issues of intolerance left in the United States of america, but there is one bright spot out there, and it is gay rights. In just a few short years, weve seen legalized samesex marriage, the end of dont ask, dont tell, and the mainstream and the mainstream acceptance of brunch. But not everyone has been won over. Take texas congressman and soft boiled egg, louis gohmert. Recently, on the floor of congress, gohmert tackled the pressing issue of gays in space you are wanting to save humankind for posterity, basically a modernday noah. Ok, we got a spaceship that can go, as matt damon did in the movie, plant a colony somewhere. If you could decide what 40 people you put on the spacecraft that would save humanity, how many of those would be same sex couples . Stephen ooo, ooo, i know that one. I know that one can i, yes, i looked it up in the bible, and this is true ere were actually only eight repopulated the entire world. Stephen we had one bit of sad news over the break and that is the world lost a true icon, muhammad ali. He was one over the most influential people of the 20th century and one of the most dominant athletes in the history of sports. During the 1960 olympics, at age 18, he won the gold medal for the u. S. Boxing team, and in 1964, he became heavyweight champion of the world, upsetting sonny liston, the 7to1 favorite. Wow. 7to1 odds. He was truly the Bernie Sanders of his time. applause back then, African Americans were expected to be deferential in public, but heres Young Cassius clay right after that fight. I am the greatest. I dont have a mark on my face and i upset sonny liston and i just turned 22 years old. I must be the greatest. I told the world. I shook up the world, i shook up the world, i shook up the world stephen that type of outrageous bragging paved the way for so many other people of color. Ali paid a high price for his beliefs. He was stripped of his title and banned from boxing after he refused to fight in vietnam. His ban was eventually overturned by the supreme court, and ali went on to win the world heavyweight title three times and fought in some of the most famous boxing matches of all time the rumble in the jungle, the thrilla in manila, and the less successful adequate in connecticut. laer and he didnt just change boxing, he changed trash talk. He turned it into performance art. I float like a butterfly, sting like a bee. I murdered a rock, injured a stone, hospitalized a brick. Im so mean, i make medicine sick. I was a freshman at u. C. L. A. , and i went to a party, and ali was there. There was a little band there, and i was fooling around with the drums, andt around, and muhammad ali and his photographer came up. So he picked up the guitar and started acting like he was playing the guitar. And i acted like i was playing the drums. Stephen ali was one of the most important both cultural and and political figures of the 20th century. Why was he important to you . My dad boxed, so, you know, boxing was a big sport for me the heavyweight champ was somebody to be respected. He handled all that. On top of that, he handled a whole lot of issues that had nothing to do with sports, you know, civil rights and human rights issues. Stephen as a champion yourself, talk to me little bit like what his game was like before the contest ever started, the way he psyched out his opponents and used the mental game against the people he was about to box. One of the things that really got to me and made me totally think he was incredible was the way, like, when he went to Sonny Listons camp, where he was training, and started heckling him while he was trying to train. And sonny liston came out and tried to catch him and start a physical conflict right there. And ali totally got into the guys head, and he didnt even realize it, in his reaction. He said, ill kill him went out there and embarrassed sonny liston. That was the type of guy he was. You had to love him for that. Stephen your dad was a boxer. You trained with bruce lee. Yeah.
