degrees. atlantic city 31. mt. pocono at 22 degrees. this is still a cold start, but not as cold as yesterday. and winds are on the light side currently. right around five to ten miles per hour. this is still enough that some of us feel a little cooler than it truly is. our windchills or those feels-like temps are not as brutal as yesterday. nine mile-per-hour winds in allentown, ten for wilmington, seven in millville. a cold start to the day but a better afternoon. radar and satellite shows us we're also clear currently. we have clouds on the way. we are going to see more of a mostly to partly cloudy forecast through the rest of the day. i do expect most of us will remain dry. you might see what looks like snow on radar here passing through harrisburg. i've been checking ground warmup with your temperatures in just a bit. >> 6:02. back to the breaking news. a federal appeals court denied the trump administration's request to immediately reinstate the ban on immigrants and refugees from seven predomina predominantly muslim countries. matt delucia is live at philadelphia international airport to tell us more about this decision. >> reporter: the trump administration says the federal judge who issued the administration order overstepped his boundaries by questioning the president on matters of national security. but the ninth circuit court of appeals did not go for that argument. there's expected to be more back and forth as far as arguments. the justice department has until early tomorrow morning to respond. the president alone has the power to decide who can stay in the u.s. airports and airlines yesterday began complying with the court order on friday night that lifted the ban. president trump vowed that the court ruling will eventually be overturned. up until then the travel ban that had been in place for a week, there were celebrations as some people who had been detained made it into the u.s. yesterday. >> it's really frustrating because i was about to check in, i was in line when he signed the order. >> reporter: philadelphia international airport where we are now says they're back to operating procedures which properly vetted foreign travelers and refugees are admitted into the united states. a syrian familiar denied entry at philly international last week, their lawyer confirms they had made arrangements to come back to the u.s. also new this morning, reports coming out of iran that the country has lifted a ban on u.s. wreftallers allowing them to take part in the world cup. they had been band following president trump's order to ban travel from that country. live at philly international, matt delucia, nbc 10 news. a woman is in the hospital after a treat pole fell on top of her. it happened yesterday in center city. it happened when a man crashed his car into the wall of a store. the driver was not hurt. the woman is in stable condition. we're looking to find out what led up to this crash. nbc 10 obtained a 911 call in an unsolve homicide case of a 2-year-old from camden county. the call reveals the frantic moments leading up to the toddler's death. nbc 10's drew smith reports. >> 911. what is your emergency? >> reporter: this is how an eight-minute phone call begins from this block in pennsauken in november. camden county released it in response to an open records request. >> he's dying, please, please. >> an energy translator joins the line two minutes in. the caller is a nanny and a 2-year-old who is not her son is throwing up blood. >> he's awake with his eyes half open but getting pale. >> reporter: the camden county prosecutor's office is handling the case. today a spokeswoman told us putting out information early would have been detrimental to the investigation. >> his heart is stopping, please! >> reporter: we spoke to a family who lives where it happens with the help of a neighbor to translate. they didn't want to co-on camera, but confirmed they have spoken to saw yesterday morning. on top of that, with winds are pretty light. right around five to ten miles per hour. what we're going to see is we go through the afternoon, winds pick up. gusts to about 25 miles per hour, drurs in the 30s instead of the 40s. it's warmer than yesterday. 46 the high in philly. 43 in the suburbs. 44 in new jersey and 47 in delaware. along the jersey shore, we'll see temperatures to boost to the mid to upper 40s. breezy conditions making it feel cooler than it truly is. nonetheless, the temperature is going to be a nicer day than we saw yesterday. 36 yesterday, today at 46. then we go to your monday, and we're still in the upper 40s. very nice for this time of year considering the average is 42. take a look at this. tuesday, 55. by wednesday we get up to 61 degrees, way warmer, almost 20 degrees warmer than average. it comes with a tradeoff. rain in the forecast for tuesday and wednesday. then a sharp drop in those temperatures by thursday. we'll take a caused by lithium ion batteries. two california teenagers got the surprise of their life when it was all captured on their home surveillance video. steve patterson shows us. >> a close call on the couch as a family laptop bursts into flames and then does it again and again. >> it's really scary when it exploded. it was really loud. >> 17-year-old devon johnson was home with a friend as surveillance cameras rolled. the dow laptop had been charging on the couch just feet away. after blowing out the flames, unplugging it and placing it on the patio, it burst into flames again. after he extinguished it for good, he moves closer and boom. >> no warnings. it didn't heat up. it didn't smoke. it literally just exploded. >> the sudden combustion seems to be caused by the ligt i don't on bail after being arrested and charged with child neglect. authorities say she left her 11-year-old to care for younger siblings at home. the kid's grandmother took charge of them after the oldest was bitterly cold out there. we had feels-like temperatures in the single digits. a lot of us around 10 degrees for the feels-like. not the case today. 33 at the cape may courthouse. feels a few degrees lower, but not as rough. 28 in upper township. 24 the current temperature in egg harbor township. we are warmer. take a look at atlantic city, 36 is the reading. some spots are doing a little better than others along our shore points. chilly start will be better as we get into the afternoon when we make it into the 40s. let's talk about the pennsylvania suburbs. still cold, but not as cold as yesterday. 27 west bradford township. ft. washington and elroy as well, 27 for the current temperature. here is aing loo at radar and satellite. we've been checking this out. what we see is we were clear overnight. we have clouds coming in from the west. radar showing a little white here making it look like there's snow. it's not actually making it to the ground. that's just colder air with a tad bit of moisture. really the snow, that's going to be too far to the north. we have rain but a little too far to the south. instead we'll be dry today, increasing clouds as the system starts to press along. also, not going to rule out isolated light snow flurries through this afternoon for the poconos. that would be light in nature. not talking anything major or accumulationwise, just going to be passing through. otherwise dries with clouds today. if you're going to a super bowl sunday party as we go into this evening, here is what you can expect. 5:00, 43 degrees, dropping to the upper 30s by 10:00 p.m. if the kids want to play outside, they can. low 40s through 7:00 p.m. these aren't terrible temperatures as long as we have the jackets available. in the suburbs, 45 degrees, but 37 by 10:00 at night. we clear out overnight as well after seeing some of the clouds today. 37 degrees, 7:00 p.m. in the lehigh valley. 43 at 3:00, 42 in new jersey at 5:00 and 4 p at the shore. these temperatures are mild, but they are also going to be better than yesterday. as you step out, you might think, wow, this feels a lot better. we are talking ten degrees warmer for high temperatures today compared to yesterday. really that's nothing compared to next several days. we go from 46 to 47, 5 to 61 for the highs in philly. that's the same areas like dover in the low 60s as well. in the mid 50s by wednesday in allentown and upper 50s for areas like wildwood. notice the icons, rain tuesday, showers on wednesday. more scattered but we do see two days of rainier activity. if you go to the ten-day on 10, a big change. breezy today, then windy on your wednesday by late day. with the sharp winds comes much colder air, only a high of 36 thursday, and it's looking like thursday morning at 22 degrees right now and 29 the current temperature in philadelphia. right at freezing vineland, 30 for women ming ton, coatesville at 27. then we look at what it feels like. while it's still cold, we know from yesterday it could be worse. yesterday we felt like we were right around ten degrees over most of this map. that's a ten-degree increase. 22 in philadelphia, 21 mt. holly, 23 atlantic city. 19, what it feels like in dover. 12 mt. pocono. remember yesterday we dropped down to 9 below in mt. pocono. 12 is sounding pretty good right now. you have to layer up this morning and even into this afternoon. although this afternoon will be about ten degrees warmer as well. radar and satellite, we have clouds hanging to the west. those will shift in. a mostly cloudy first half of the day. partly cloudy second half of the day. warmer temperatures overall. through the next few hours, you can tell the difference. we hit a high in the afternoon of 36 yesterday. today by late morning, we'll already be above that. we're also going to see the clouds hanging over and winds starting to increase because today will be a breezy one. still deal with the feels-like temperature right around 30 degrees at 11:00 a.m. we'll continue to track this throughout the rest of your sunday and more details on the big warmup that comes with some rain in just a bit. >> the breaking news overnight, a board flights to the u.s. began after a federal judge temporarily blocked the travel ban that happened late on friday. mr. trump is responding to all this. posted a series of tweets yesterday. one of released the call to nbc 10 yesterday in response to an open records request. the november call came from a nanny in pennsauken. she told the operator that the toddler in her care was throwing up blood. the boy ended up dying at some point after the eight-minute call. the prosecutor's office is handling the case. again, no arrests yet. police in lehigh valley need your help to find this man. they say he's been posing as an officer. according to investigators, the man pictured here pulled over a woman in lower saucon township claiming she had a brake light out. the woman realized he was not a police officer and drove off. police tell us the man drove a white suv with a red and blue emergency light on the dashboard. take a look at these exclusive pictures of the repair work of the delaware river turnpike connector bridge. the pennsylvania turnpike commission provided them to us. the bridge is expected to stay closed until at least april. we'll keep you posted on the exact date. president trump's first 100 days in office. officials in philadelphia say 2,000 people took part in the march for humanity yesterday, protesting trump's travel and immigration ban. aside from the traffic troubles, philadelphia police tell us the march was peaceful. the chief inspector of philadelphia's moment land security department tweeted a vp visit, two large demonstrations and marches, zero arrests and zero negative incidents. very proud of my officers. philadelphia wasn't the only site for the protest related to the president's travel ban. there were demonstrations worldwide including mar-a-lago, london, berlin and paris. vice president mike pence was in philadelphia yesterday. he stopped by to talk courts and the constitution. the vice president spoke to members of the federalist society, a group that advocates for the separation of powers, that they're central to the constitution. the vice president took the opportunity to praise president trump's pick for the supreme court, judge neil gorsuch. >> it should be abundantly clear that neil gorsuch is a worthy successor to antonin scalia. >> before his speech, vice president pence toured independence hall and coatesville man is under arrest after crewing rescued him from a quarry in lehigh county. the suspect fell down a 30-foot embankment and into the quarry last night. police say the man ran off after officers pulled him over. according to investigators, the suspect refused an initial rescue attempt. so officers then threw down a floatation device and called in the fire department for a rescue. after about 40 minutes the man was freed from the bottom of the quarry. he's facing charges related to possessing a stolen vehicle and eluding police. top honors for a fallen soldier. yesterday's dedication of the a.j. dickson vets and friends center in berlin camden county. dickson was born in the area and died while serving iraq in 2005. his mother you can see was on hand for if ceremony. the center is available for active and inactive military members and their families. we have new details about plans to build the 29-story tower along philadelphia's jewelers row. toll brothers released new renderings for the building. the developer also released proposed floor plans for the more than 100 condos. toll brothers will present the plans before the civic design review committee on tuesday. the project isn't without controversy. businesses and neighbors who favor preserving the street's history, protested against the new tower and the demolition of current buildings along
