Right now, two philadelphia firefighters are recovering at the hospital. Q5q tells us one firefighter fell and another was hurt while fighting a fire in cobbs creek around 1 00 this morning. The fire was at an abandoned barber shop. Both firefighters were taken to penn presbyterian medical center. Both are conscious and in stable condition. Shot and killed at a mcdonalds drivethrough. Thats what Norristown Police say happened after a shooting in the parking lot. Matt delucia is on scene with details. Trichis happened around midnight. We have since learned the mcdonalds has reopened. Ill show you where this all happened, right by the menu board there. Thats where the victim ended up. He died here at the scene, on the 200 block of west main street in norristown. A witness toll us off camera as we take a look at video from earlier, the witness says that two men were chasing this victim on foot and shot him about ten times. Police havent told us anything about suspects or a motive at this point. As i mentioned were still waiting for more official details. You can imagine with a business like this, theres a Convenience Store attached next to it, they may have something in the way of surveillance cameras that investigators are looking at right now. Several primary victories help her seal her place as the Presumptive Democratic nominee. Clinton has 2,640 delegates compared to Bernie Sanders who has 1,799. Despite that, clintons rival Bernie Sanders is vowing to continue his fight and take it all the way to the convention here in philadelphia. During her victory speech in brooklyn, clinton congratulated sanders on his campaign and turned her sights on the Presumptive Republican nominee, donald trump. Happening today, the sugary drink tax in philadelphia, the proposal that caused uproars during Council Meetings could soon become law. Pamela osborne is live at city hall with more on this bill. A source on the council has confirmed to nbc 10 news that there are enough votes to pass a soda tax. This does not necessarily mean that the mayors initial proposal to add a 3 cent an ounce tax will be the one that council ultimately supports. The mayor would like to use the revenue generated by the tax to fund a universal prek program across the city and to help fund other programs and initiatives as well. Mayor jim kenney says his plan could generate 400 million. We caught up with him last night. He would not confirm that he gained enough support on council to pass it, but he did say he felt confident that something would be passed and wed know what that something was before the end of the day. The brother of a pizza Delivery Driver ambushed, kidnapped and shot in the head says its a miracle his brother survived. The victims family says he moved here from ghana and worked as a Delivery Driver to provide for his family. Hes now in stable condition at the hospital and police are still searching for the gunmen. Happening ctoday, the Philadelphia Police foundation will donate new body armor to the Police Departments canine unit. The new body armor wasnt in the citys budget. Its coming to the department because of a 22,000 donation the point gags received. The dogs and Police Partners will get the new body armor at a ceremony later this morning. A dog named lucky earned his name after a house explosion in north jersey. This is miraculous. Lucky belongs to one of the resident injured in saturdays explosion in phillipsburg. Some neighbors found lucky the day after the blast. She had burns on her face and paws. Take a look at her now. A local animal group took this video of her playing outside.
