Reporter tracy, in the past 30 minutes that car was pulled away from the semi that it crashed into and loaded onto a tow truck. Police are still out on the scene as well. Were at the corner of germantown avenue and pike street. There is heavy damage you can see to the car that crashed into a parked tractortrailer out here. Nbc 10 was first on the scene shortly after 2 30 this morning, you can see the 47yearold man being taken away to the hospital. I spoke with police, they tell me the man was shot twice while he was sitting in his car two miles up the road at green and mannheim. After he was shot he drove down germantown avenue only to this point. Hef was conscious and talking with police shortly after the crash. The victim was initially cooperating when medics and police were working on him to free him from the vehicle. For several minutes he was trapped in the vehicle. From the auto accident his legs and lower extremities were trapped and crushed inside the vehicles. Medics used the jaws of life, had to literally tear the door off its hinges. Reporter back live on the scene, one of the tow Truck Drivers here took the door that was completely taken off here and loaded it onto the truck. You see all of the damage out there. Most of it on the drivers side. Police also found 12 small bags of crack cocaine in the passenger seat. So this is looked as potentially a drug related shootings. Investigators are talking with witnesses who saw the driver crash. They are waiting to get more information from the victim. The state employees retirement system is not appealing a court order to restore the nearly 5,000 a month to sandusky taken away during the scandal. Is he is serving a 30 to 60 year sentence for sexually abusing young boys. He is currently appealing that conviction. A muslim man from East Mount Airy says he is victim of a hate crime after someone left raw meat on his front steps. Price thinks someone left the pork wrapped to intimidate him. In baltimore, jurors say they are deadlocked in the trial of the first Police Officer charged in the death of freddie gray. The judge has told them to keep dlipting. The jury got the case on monday in the case of William Porter, thats porter on the right. He faces several charges including manslaughter. Prosecutors say William Porter was negligent for failing to buckle gray into a transport van and failing to call a medic when gray asked to go to the hospital. Gray was taken to the Police Station and arrived with a broken neck. His death a week later set off protests and rioting in baltimore. Five more officers are awaiting trial. A disgruntled hotel guest faces felony charges after ramming his truck into this hotel lobby in oklahoma. The truck barely missed two women behind the desk. Community members are split in north jersey after a man allegedly stole an item from a toys for tots bin, then returned them. Then monday night he returned the toys with the note of apology, saying they were for his 4yearold cousin.
