The Police Actually accused them about lying about this Armed Robbery. Reporter yeah, it hasnt even been 24 hours since police pulled two of the four swimmers off the plane for further questioning. The interrogation today reveals what may have really happened that night. Brazilian police say a fight over a bathroom door led to a lie in ryan lochte, and embarrassing international incident. Now investigators are trying to separate fact from fiction over a robbery report. Today three of lochtes teammates are stranded in brazil after Police Seized their passports. Two of them appeared to fold, after authorities forced them off their plane last night. They reportedly told investigators today the robbery was fabricated. And this guy pulled out his gun, he cocked it, put it to my forehead and said get down. I put my hands up. Reporter lochte said he and his teammates were robbed at gun point saturday morning. He told Nbcs Matt Lauer on the phone last night that he is sticking by his story. But this new Surveillance Video is painting a clearer picture. Investigators said the swimmers tried to get inside a locked bathroom door at the gas station. When they couldnt, they broke down the door before two Armed Security guards confronted them. The guards admitted to police that they pointed their guns at the swimmers. The gas station manager asked the swimmers to pay for the broken door. They handed over some cash and then left. Security video shows them returning to the athletes village a short time later. Lochte arrived home to North Carolina tuesday on a scheduled flight before a judge ordered that he stay. U. S. Olympic Committee Said the three swimmers who are still stranded have the support of their attorneys and the u. S. Consulate in rio. The swimmers could face punishment, probation, suspension, a fine, or expulsion under usas swimming code of conduct which prohibits dishonesty or fraud. Switching gears now, a child porn bust in new jersey led to the arrests of these 40 men. The sweep resulted in one arrested in every county of the state. The suspects are as old as 20 and old as 72. It includes a former teacher who taught in burlington county, as well as philadelphia and Bristol Township bucks county. In a span of three days, the office of attorney general has been gone from Kathleen Kane and bruce castor, to beamer. Beamer is the current inspector general, served as kanes first deputy. The senate has 20 days to confirm beamers nomination. No word on when that vote will happen. Even if beamer is approved, he wont be in office long. Thats because theres an election for attorney general this november. Democrat judge shapiro is running against republican john rafferty. The eagles have flown west for their next preseason test. Reporter well, keith, a lot of folks have needed a lot less of this. Bug spray in the past couple weeks. But experts say dont put it away just yet. A day of crabbing with her family in stone harbor has come with a little less bite lately. But diana blair isnt complaining. Weve had some flies, but not too many mosquitoes. Its actually kind of refreshing. Reporter so far this year the Cape May Department of Mosquito Control has collected 25 fewer mosquitoes compared to the same time in 2015. Overall, less mosquitoes. Its been the trend the last couple of weeks. Reporter experts say the recent heat wave and little rain are likely among the reasons why. They dont like the extreme heat. It actually dries them out. And it shortens their life span. Reporter billions of mosquito eggs in salt marshes just like this one along the jersey shore. The situation could quickly change if theres rainfall, more significant than what we got overnight, and the water sticks around for five to seven days to create prime mosquito breeding grounds. Coupled with high tides, ow lunar tides, the mosquito production could take off in about a weeks time. Reporter for now, though, fewer mosquitoes means more time for fun. Enables you to stay outside and enjoy your activities better. Reporter but remember, mosquito season usually lasts until theres a very hard frost, often in late october, or early november. But we broke a little bit out of the 90s this afternoon. Well have to see what the official high is in just a little bit here. Over the weekend, the temperatures will be back around 90 degrees. Its still going to be hot this weekend, around 92. Thunderstorms as we go through part of your weekend. Not the whole thing, of course. Your plans still look pretty good. As we go into next week, thats when weapon get the relief. It will be later on next week, not this weekend just yet. But the heat will be much lower, the humidity will be much lower. Well take a closer look at your neighborhood weather coming up. Pennsylvania officials gave an update today on the states new medical marijuana program. Governor wolf signed it back in april. Temporary regulations for growers and processors have been drafted. This is a medical program. And we want physicians to be engaged with the program, and we want to compose those regulations in a thoughtful way. The program is expected to be up and running by early 2018. Get a load of this now. One new jersey lawmaker has a concern about the claw games found in arcades and amusement parks. A state senator introduced a bill that would create more oversight over those games. Critics say the claw games are easy to rig because operators can control the strength of the joy stick that works the claw. Today they learned the victim found dead in a trash can was a young woman from wilmington. She was shot several times. And now police have a person of interest in custody. She would often come down to visit her onagain, offagain boyfriend. That is where, by the way, we know she was found dead yesterday, just a way from that house in a recycle bin out here on the curb. Near the Thomas Edison school. Reporter a viewer sent this cell video to nbc 10. It was actually the body of 21yearold precious hosskin, shot a number of times and stuffed into a recycle bin. Everybody loved her. Reporter mary said the 21yearold was in an onagain, offagain relationship with her boyfriend. He had recently done jail time for pulling a gun on her once before. I just found out that he was abusive to her. And i didnt know that. Because she didnt tell me that. But he was a good dude. He just was dealing with mental issues. This Washington Township woman just wanted to do something nice for her sons high school graduation. But she said the state failed her by leaving her refund in limbo. Laurie couldnt wait to see her son, hank, graduate from high school. I was looking forward to that, to give him a nice gift. Reporter she planned to use the money from her tax return to throw hank a celebration before he starts college. He was asking for a dinner out with friends and loved ones. Reporter she filed both her state and federal taxes back in february. Getting her money back from one return proved easy. In two weeks, i got the federal one back. Reporter but getting her new jersey Income Tax Refund was another story. Oh, my gosh, it was just it was pretty horrible. Reporter shepherd called the state and was told to submit additional paperwork. And she waited 90 more days. There was really no excuse for the delay. I immediately and professionally gave them anything they asked for, and they got it in a timely manner. Reporter after 90 days was up and still without answers, she called nbc 10 responds. I kept getting different stories. Reporter we immediately contacted the new Jersey Department of treasury. A spokesperson got right back to us, saying hes sent the issue to the right department. This is the new Jersey Division of taxation where you can check your refunds. Reporter days later she checked the website again. When i went there saturday morning, i was like, oh it was unbelievable. Im like, that Harry Hairston reporter 882, just in time for college to start.
