New from overnight, a woman is dead after her car struck a pole in philadelphia. Nbc 10 was on the scene along roosevelt boulevard in the long crest section of the city around 5 00 this morning. You can see the car is totaled. Police tell us the driver was thrown from the vehicle. Investigators have not released the womans identity. Right now, they are looking for the cause of the crash. In Mercer County one person was hurt in a crash on interstate 295. This happened in the northbound lanes in hamilton township. Authorities tell us the victim here was thrown from the car. Emergency crews took that person to the hospital but there is no word on a condition. This morning, a south jersey neighborhood is looking for answers after a deadly discovery inside of a womans house. Nbc 10 was on the scene in mt. Holly yesterday, where police say a woman walked into her house on washington street and found a man and a woman dead. She then called 911. Neighbors tell us the theyre on edge and just want to know exactly what happened. It is nerveracking to see that someone got killed right around the corner, kind of scary. I was surprised, i was shocked, i was scared because living down the street its definitely scary. Authorities tell us they are not releasing details right now, but they insist thats there s therethere is not a killer on the loose. Coming up at 9 30 youll hear from a neighbor about what she saw when Police Arrived on the scene. And the Bensalem Police department is mourning the death of a top cop. Police say detective Kevin Cornish died yesterday morning during a 5k charity run in northeast philadelphia. It appears he suffered a heart attack. His peers recently honored him as ben Salem Police Officer of the year. Detective cornish joined the department in 1998. He was 42 years old. These kids are laughing and having a good time, its all really for a good cause. Ill bring in bill quinn here hes one of the parents of the kids who are out here right now. And possibly even a little bit more than that. But the storm system is pretty large here. It stretches from chicago all the way back to omaha. Its bringing rainfall right now to st. Louis. Almost three years after Whitney Houston was found dead in a hotel bathtub, her daughter went to the hospital under very similar circumstances. Bobby kris yi Bobbi Kristina browne is being treated after her husband and friend found her unresponsive in a bathtub. She was given cpr and was alive when she was taken to the hospital. New this morning, a defense Attorney Says hes considering a Mental Health defense for a North Hampton county man whos been charged with killing his stepdaughter. Gregory graf waived a preliminary hearing on friday. His attorney plans to seek a Mental Health evaluation for his client although the lawyer says he is unaware of any prior problems. The district Attorney Says graf admitted to shooting his stepdaughter, Jessica Padgett in november. Officials say a College Student who passed through new yorks penn station last week has the measles. The new york student contracted the virus in germany. Health workers say he flew tow b new york city on christmas day, boarded an amtrak train in manhattan last sunday and then rode up to upstate new york. Officials are now warning anybody who may have been exposed to be aware of symptoms like fever, runny nose and a rash. If you cant get vaccinated for measles or if you choose not to there are other ways to stay safe. Wash hands, dont touch your eyes nose mouth, and you kind of just have to be careful where you go. Because if youre on a subway on a train, and someone next to you is coughing its very likely you could get it if youre not immunized. Its highly contagious. Officials are now trying to find out if this latest measles case is linked to the outbreak thats been spreading across the country or if its to the specific outbreak that happened in new york city this time last year. Heres the storm system stretches all the way back to omaha. Weve seen snowy conditions in minneapolis, chicago, starting to see rainfall in st. Louis and this entire system will shift closer to us. So its not out of the question that as we head into your early afternoon hours, 3 00 4 00 that well start to see a little bit of light snow showers moving in, ahead of all the moisture thats going to get here. But this is just the main part of this system. That will not arrive until 10 00 or 101 00 at night. As youre heading home from your super bowl parties, thats when well start to see all this moisture moving in. And right at midnight thats when well see the best chance for a little accumulating snow on this i95 corridor and all points north. If youre closer to the shore when we start to see all this moisture moving in well mainly see rainfall and a little bit of a wintry mix mixing in. That rain snow line will continue to shift to the north. By the time you have to work on monday, its going to be mainly rainfall youre dealing with. A icy roads, a little bit of ice developing into the Lehigh Valleys and the poconos. So take it easy heading home from the super bowl parties and heading to work tomorrow morning. Your snow forecast shows we are going to see 3 to 6 inches for the poconos, similar conditions for allentown, 1 to 3 for our suburbs, and thats really going to be at the beginning of this system and its going to switch over to rainfall. Not as likely along this i95 corridor to see a lot of accumulating snow except for right at the bingeginning and the rain will come in. South jersey along the shore, just a coating, if that. Not as cold for us today. We will see temperatures by 11 00 at 32 degrees 33 in trenton, and as we push into the afternoon, pretty much warm into the mid30s. Still a cold day ahead for us but we arent going to see those biting winds like we saw yesterday.
