Three sink holes forced a major board in Plymouth Meeting to close and it wont reopen until late summer. Penndot says the plans to rebuild the bridge over Plymouth Creek on plymouth road in Montgomery County are fast tracked but because the area sits mainly on limestone the bridge has to be demolished and rebuilt. Plans call for the road to open august 3 1st. If not, penndot says the contractor will face fines of 20,000 a day. Many who live near the bridge voiced their concerns about the construction process. I really am very happy that the residents who live right next to this bridge came out and will work alongside them and make sure that their concerns are addressed. Residents in the area say they worry about construction noise and traffic. Penndot says workers will work six days a week and ten hours a day to get the road open by the august 31st deadline. This new Surveillance Video shows a man using a large kitchen knife to hold up the j j News Agency Tuesday night. It shows the suspect going behind the counter and taking cash. No one was hurt here. A judge denied a motion to downgrade charges against three bucks county defendants accused of attacking a gay couple in center city last year. Defense lawyers wanted the judge to reduce aggravated Assault Charges and drop conspiracy charge against the defendants. The judge said no. Prosecutors say two men and a woman beat the couple so badly one of the victims ended up in the hospital with several broken bones. Today in bucks county the pennsylvania Turnpike Commission launched a campaign urging driverses to slow down in work zones. Tv commercials featuring Maintenance Workers will be used to get the message out. Officials say more than 30 pennsylvania turnpike workers have been killed over the years. Many in work zones. The campaign called operation orange squeeze was spurred by the death of turnpike Maintenance Worker bill mcguigin killed in a chster county work zone after hit by a truck. He was the second local worker killed in a twoyear period. New at 6 00 brynmawr hospital is planning a 200 million renovation project. The township board of commissioners approved the plan. There will be a new patient pavilion and renovations to the labor, delivery and maternity units. The project should be completed in 2018. The changes go into effect april 25th. A Montgomery County contractor is the latest person to face charges in a Corruption Scandal involving penndot. Prosecuteors say Christopher Czop earned more than 1 million in illegal contracts with penndot using cash and cronyism. Czop is the president of an engineering and surveying firm and the 13th person to be charged in this scandal that Authorities Say cost taxpayers millions of dollars. From metal to music.
