>>reporter: karen did make it. we only had 1 to 2 inches of snow fall from the system this morning. but the big concern this weekend is going to be another round of arctic temperatures. right now sitting at 29 in baltimore. look at pittsburg off to the west. 18 degrees. already into the teens already at this hour. 17 degrees in charles ton and will continue through the weekend as we have a big frigid temperature coming from northern canada rocking the jet stream all the way down into the gulf state. i tell you when temperatures will be the coldest this weekend coming up in just a few minutes. mayor dixon says developer ronald lipscomb lied to prosecutors on wednesday. she pleaded guilty to failing to disclose gifts she received from lipscomb during the romance but says prosecutors scared him into lying about the gifts because of the plea deal dixon will step down from office february fourth. >> in less than one month city council president rawlings blake will be sworn in as baltimore's new mare. john says she is doing everything she can to make it a smooth transition. john? >>reporter: stephanie met today with members of her staff but also met with some members of mayor dixon's cabinet. incoming mayor already announced she plans to keep 2 key members of the cabinet. they include police commissioner as well as fire chief but as mayor rawlings blake faces several major challenges, projected deficit of more than 125 million dolla dollars, pressure from community groups who oppose further cuts in services. man who once served as mayor dixon press secretary says rawlings blake is in a unique but difficult position. >> she has to approach this in a different way. the city is looking to her to fill a gap. will she been an interim mayor or will she been setting herself up to be the transition that the city that the citizens that the people are looking for?
