huge difference. you go 20, 30 miles inland, temperatures are off to the race. near 70 in around over. our warmest spots are farther west. 40s in montauk. the wind is light but what we have is out of the southeast and that's breeze has actually gone unusually far inland, all the way into orange county and parts of interior new jersey. so here is your plan as you go through the evening hours. fair amount of sun. a warm front right on top of us just to our north and west. that is why we have access to our southeast winds. once that goes through it is all about the warmer winds. it is pushing 80 degrees in dc, and i'm not going to be surprised if parts of interior new jersey see some 80-degree readings over the next couple of days. especially trenton or summerville. tonight from what we saw today because of the southwest winds. so look for low and middle 70s. only 55 to 62 on parts of long island, especially south facing shores. the north shore could push 68 to 70 degrees while the south shore is having trouble getting tomorrow trenton could be a 76 or 77. partly cloudy mild tonight patchy fog late. tomorrow up to 75. that destroys the old record of 69 set back
